Taris, definitely. Peragus was just booooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiing. On Taris, you had Pazaak, bounty hunting, swoop racing (albeit one scene), a dueling ring, several distinct levels, lots of characters to interact with, shops, and a decent amount of enemies to kill, from Sith, to gangs, to Rakghouls, and better party member interaction, I think. Peragus was boring, monotonous, and way longer than necessary. Taris was long, but at least it had stuff to keep you interested.

K1's storyline was way better and more satisfying than K2's storyline ever was. It was simpler, granted, but complex doesn't always mean great. K2's story is a perfect example. It could have been a lot better, but wasn't. We were advertised one game, but were given another. And above all, K2's ending just lacked the feeling of accomplishment you got in K1.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You forgot Bastila and T3. You're right, but in K1 almost every character was essential to the story in some way and had a good reason to be with you on your ship. A lot of K2's characters had vague or mediocre reasons to be on your ship. The only person who had a damn good reason for sticking with you was Kreia, and that was only so she could train/use you. -

Heretic!!! Infidel!!!! (proudly clutches copies of Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft)

Actually, I'm going to change my vote for second-most useless. Atton was pretty useless. He was pretty much mediocre at ranged and melee combat, didn't have a lot of hitpoints to back him up, and was oushined skill-wise by Bao-Dur and T3.
-
That so? Well, it may come as a shock to you, but my main point was that so far the biggest civilian casualties have come from the insurgents themselves, not our "precise" bombs. You were the one missing the point.
-
Let's back up a bit. I'm curious Sarj, why do I fail the thread in your eyes?
-
Maybe I do know why...and just don't care. As usual, good ol' Hades puts things into perspective for us.
-
Well, aside from GO-TO (a clear winner before the thread even started), I'd go with HK-47. No joke. Mira has HK beat as far as ranged combat (and can be turned into a jedi as well), and HK is too lacking in skill points to be useful outside combat. He just wasn't as useful as he was in K1. Mandalore is only useful if you don't have Hanharr or need a good melee character, cause he's not great as far as ranged combat goes.

Gold <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And blatantly ignorant, as well as the person who commented. Tell me, does anyone here recall the bomb detonated purposely in a crowd of children earlier this year? And it was done by no other than.... THE INSURGENTS!!! OMG!!!!! THE SAME PEOPLE WHO CLAIM THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR IRAQ'S FREEDOM!!!!

A definition of Terrorism for the 21th century
Dark Moth replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
Hmm...so what is your problem with Bush calling the Taliban terrorists, again? I guess even though both regimes treated their people barbarically and without morality is a void point to you, huh? Just out of curiosity, did you honestly expect Bush to call them freedom fighters, seeing what these people are like? If your definition of freedom fighters is people who drag people from their cars and shoot them in the head, decapitate people and air it on TV, butcher and hang bodies of civlians from bridges, and set off bombs purposely near children, then I guess maybe Bush should call them freedom fighters. Perhaps your argument would carry some weight if Bush behaved in that matter. Lots of countries oppose the U.S. You didn't hear him calling Germany, France, or other countries who were against the war effort terrorists, did you? How about any other country, for that matter? Maybe you should go home and reconsider your argument. They recently found a weapons factory in a school. Do you condone that? Let me tell you something: if we wanted to, we could have just blown the entire country of Iraq sky high. But we didn't. We, unlike many of the people we face now, tend to avoid targeting civilians. Perhaps if these terrorists (that's right, I said it) were actually fighting for a just cause, maybe I would condone their actions. The only reason we're in Iraq now is to keep the country stable. You seem to fail to realize that so far the biggest victims of the insurgents have been Iraqis. These people purposely target not just the U.S., but their own people!!! You honestly think they can be called freedom fighters? They probably don't care about freedom. What they do care about is that we are Christian and that we are Americans, and we support Israel. That's right. Tell me, are you saying that we had it coming when it came to 9/11? We have done NOTHING to deserve 9/11. There is no reason they had to do what they did. What they did was motivated by a religious fanaticism and bloodthirsty quest to secure their own interests in the Middle East. In fact, what they did in 9/11 only served to increase U.S. interference in the Middle East, as the entire world can see. Bin Laden thought (and not without reason) that the U.S. was a "paper tiger" who would run away from the fight. Under Clinton, maybe. But not now. I have news for you: terrorists today are little more than a new face on an old enemy: radical Islam. Islam used to be a dominating force in the world, and the Muslim/Middle Eastern nations were among the most enlightened people in the world. And look at them now. Their regions are replete with corrupt, manipulative, and repressive governments, their education is in ruins, their military is a joke, and their economy depends on oil. The people like Bin Laden represent more than just a political agenda: they represent an outdated form of religious zealotry that mandates that they kill the infidels and make Islam a dominant force. Before its downfall, the Middle East didn't have to resort to "terrorist tactics" to achieve its goals. But now, they have to resort to hiding in proverbial caves, launching an attack here and there to make us cover our faces in fright, because that is all they are capable of as of now. End rant mode. -

Can't say God ever told me that. He did mention something about "killing all infidels" but that's about it...

Crimson Skies (the first one). A tad old, but one of my favorites.

Dang...spammed into oblivion before I could comment. Oh well. Please accept this very wise proverb instead.

Hollywood just seems to be running out of originality. Ever notice the sheer amount of remakes, adaptations, and sequals being released these days? An epidemic, I'm telling ya!

You mean the thread (I hope)? Might be a good idea. Methinks the lesson has been learned...for now.

I do. Sorry, but I have no desire to date a chick only to find out she used to be a dude.

I don't think Aimo over-reacted at all, in fact her response seemed pretty tame. It was Eisu who blew up over pixie's comment. Eisu's a good guy and all, but I don't think he handled it very well. Still is a bloody shame he left, though.

Ever want to see something amusing, watch a porno in fast motion. It looks like they're having convulsions. Captain, our sensor's are detecting a derailment! Warning! Thread lockdown iminent!

yup. Jags was just being an as*hole to Aimo, and Germi91 didn't help, especially with that comment he wrote about pixie's dino (and took another cheap shot at Aimo). I mean, what an idiot! I've never seen anyone treat her so disrespectfuly for no reason at all. A pity Eisu left, though. I wonder why he abandoned ship.
