  1. Maybe not make sequals, but sticking to a formula that works without being repetitive would be a good strategy. Also, first post I've ever made part of the forum. Ever. :">
  2. Make K3, just don't let Obsidian make it.
  3. I'm not sure exactly if it's really much more complicated than K2. It's a head-scratcher for sure, but that's mostly because so many things were poorly written or left unexplained.
  4. Hee hee, poor Gabs.
  5. Just woke up about half an hour ago. I didn't get drunk last night, thankfully. I was however able to see a rather nice fireworks show in my neighborhood. -200 t.o.m.b.s. points for CoF for self-replying! Haw haw haw... Gabs for the win.
  6. Because I won't be hanging out with "real people" until later tonight. Where I am, it's only 6 pm. Oh, happy new year, everyone.
  7. For crying out loud, it doesn't have to say "Jedi Knights". Whenever "Knights" is used for a Star Wars game, it refers to a Jedi Knight. Anyone could figure that out.
  8. Well, there's a conundrum in that. Thanks to K2, the series has to be a trilogy, otherwise it'd be like GL stopping the movies at The Empire Strikes Back. And of course, there's still $$$ to be made.
  9. Nothing ever does, my dear human. Surreptishus is just begging for a report.
  10. Just one thing, Hades: "Knights of the Old Republic" refers to Jedi, not just knights in general. Yes, I know all about knights and all that. But Knights in the title refers to a Jedi Knight, not our general concept of knights. So yes, a SW game with Knights in the title will most likely focus on JEDI. Not scoundrels, soldiers, bounty hunters, etc.
  11. I gotta admit, the story was way better than the tripe we saw in Episodes I-III.
  12. Its Lucas Arts. Are you expecting anything different? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The "master storytellers" at Obsidian didn't help either. They too should accept some of the guilt. But I guess we should leave it at that before we get into another blame game.
  13. +50 t.o.m.b.s. for you, even if you don't know what that is!
  14. -50 for frivolous point deduction!
  15. Just a couple days ago: While playing Doom 3, I threw a grenade at a closed door, not realizing I hadn't switched to my shotgun. The thing bounced right off the door and blew up in my face. Also, in Diablo II, my Barbarian had a Shadow Thirst Giant Axe which was my most poweful weapon. One time, I happen to get killed., and of all things, I forget to pick up my axe from my corpse and ended up losing it forever. I still haven't found a weapon that was as poweful as that axe.
  16. -50 points for you for getting the name wrong at the end of your post. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A) I know it's just Darth Flatus. B) My spelling sucks. Sue me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We will. Just let me call my lawyer.

Me, I don't hunt, though a lot of people in my school do. I don't mind people hunting for the meat, but it's the trophy hunting I'm opposed to. I can't help thinking what it'd be like if I had a human head on my wall.
  18. Ooh...pretty. Great job, guys!
  19. Well, I don't find it offensive. Someone else might, though. I think the only real problem is that someone who doesn't know you that well would get the wrong idea about you from that avatar.
  20. Being a non-force user would be just fine to me. I just don't think it'd be a good idea for the KOTOR series. Being a Jedi is what a lot of the game is built on.
  21. Every time pixies posts, this thread dies a little more...
  22. Alcatrazz - God Bless Video
  23. K1's story in retrospect, especially if you're a lightsider, was also a lot more charming. K2's story was ugly. I know some people like that, but others don't. And of course, K1's story was actually complete. Also, the characters for the most part in K1 seemed more likeable, and in a way more "unified". There seemed to be a friendship mentality among them. Whearas in K2, the characters pretty much disliked or were distrustful of each other. Even with all the cut content though, I don't think the story would be all that much better. It's a pretty common thing for people to say "Oh, it was okay. But if it had the cut content, it'd be that much better." I've looked at what a lot of the cut content has to offer. Frankly, I don't think it really improves the storyline a whole lot. The filled plotholes would definitely help, though. In my honest opinion, K2 shouldn't have been a direct sequal to K1. K1 didn't even need a sequal. It was fine by itself. K2 should have just started with a new storyline in a different time period, while still being set in the Old Republic. By trying to make it a direct sequal, they made the writing that much harder, made the storyline much more complicated, and also dug themselves into a hole with the cliffhanger ending. Now, it has to be a trilogy. If K3 weren't made, it'd be like them stopping the movie trilogy at Empire Strikes Back.
