What's so disturbing with gay romances, SW or not? I think it's amusing to have an NPC of the same gender hit on your PC. You don't have to accept their offers though.

Another end-game cut-plot stuff thread
DevilCat replied to Cathari's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
But how can Bao be dead if (presumably) he's the one who fixes the ship after the crash on M5? Shouldn't he get back on to Ebon Hawk and fly away with everyone else? Also, sending Remote to do the job is a logical way out, why should they both go out and die? Bao's message hints that's what the Remote was built for. I think so, anyway. -
Silver. I probably would've liked cyan too but I didn't get that crystal in my game. Does it look like blue? I surely haven't noticed a difference between green and viridian (except in the inventory where viridian looks bluish).

Ahh.. who can resist those cool shiny sticks? :"> Twin silver lightsabers for me.

Washed first, I hope ... (remember Zalbar and Mission in K1 ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course. I meant a clean fluffy fur mat, smelling of Kashyyk pine-trees preferably. I'm such a fan of Kashyyk nature and its natural inhabitants are so adorable as..well..as fur mats. :D

I'd love a nice'n soft wookie fur mat.

Atton And Bao-Dur Cut Scenes Discovered !!!
DevilCat replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What does he say? I can hear Bao's file but can't hear Atton's one for some reason. -
I can see it now,new force powers Lightsiders:Force Tampon DarkSiders:Rabid Period <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah, that was funny as hell, Darth Coran. But I think male PC's shouldn't be cheated out of their privileges either. It is atrocious! I mean, we'd get such useful force powers, so why not give males for example... Lightsiders: Force Ejaculation Darksiders: Beast Potency (oh baby, no more running through all the drugstores of Nar Shaddaa in search of Viagra!) And I sooo agree with Lord Tarondor. I'm not going to touch the keyboard until Male PC's are granted the aforementioned Force powers. (no offense to other guys)

Which KotOR character would you be?
DevilCat replied to Roger the Sith's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I tend to see things like Jolee - lightly and with a sense of humor, and have an independent, unorthodox way of thinking. In terms of humor I do sound a lot like HK though sometimes. Not at all like him in character, but I have that sarcastic way of talking most of the time. I'm also quiet and laid-back like Bao Dur. -
Poll: Hair Color [just read it]
DevilCat replied to One_Intoxicated_Sith Lord's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I imagine it's black too. Dunno why... perhaps because her costume looked somewhat like the ones that exotic Asian women would wear, and they are all black-haired. -
Fell in love with Atton and Disciple
DevilCat replied to Jedi Master Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
i finally managed to trigger that conversation in the game... that was definitely a major "magic" moment for me. i was so angry when mira asked me about my glow, if it was due to me and atton hooking up a power coupling... and i didn't have any options to say yes. if your heart melted at that pazaak line, my heart broke at my lack of appropriate conversation option! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My thoughts...er feelings exactly. I was so bummed by it but still expected that maybe *something* will be going on later. I kinda liked the line "He's like a brother. An idiot brother." but was afraid to use it in case it somehow ruined the romance (yeah I was pretty clueless there was no romance then). So I just settled for the cheesy "It's just the Force." reply. <_< -
Should Revan Have An "Offical" Gender?
DevilCat replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There! Laconic and right on target. Couldn't have said better myself. :D -
Should Revan Have An "Offical" Gender?
DevilCat replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you are too ignorant or just too lazy to do a search before making such statements, doesn't mean they never existed you know. Here's a nice link for starters, you might wanna check the Military and Warfare part, as well as Politics and Government. http://www.distinguishedwomen.com/subject/field.html If you can focus long enough on reading the text, oh superior one. " There are plenty of similar sites on the net. Edit: Oh and on topic, I believe Revan's and Exile's gender should be left up to the player to decide. That's why you can choose it at the first place. Lucasarts is a publisher, not the creator of the game, so their statement is just their opinion. Personally I see both the Exile and Revan as female, but I agree that those who played as males are entitled to their preferences no less than I am. -
What side would you joing in the conflict?
DevilCat replied to Fenyx's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Lightside. It's much more fun. -
Things you would've added to KOTOR2
DevilCat replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Could care less about Yuthura, but Jolee - yeah! I'm his fan all the way -
Onderon/Dxun. Onderon's my fav, too bad it was too small and too little sidequests. Oh all right - no sidequests. I liked the feel of the planet on the whole though. The second part where you have to split your party was definitely the best. Nar Shaddaa would share the first place with Onderon. In terms of storytelling and sidequests it's the most developed planet. Kreia's occasional interferences were also very cool. Ehh can't decide which one I like more. :D Peragus - lame, hate it when there's zero interaction (interacting with the consoles doesn't count) and you have to run around all by yourself. Telos - not too bad really. Liked the Ithorian quests and Telos Polar Academy. Korriban - meh, too empty. The only interesting bit is where you get to enter the tomb in the shyrack cave. Dantooine - boring. Didn't like it the first time too much, no more I do now. Malachor V - got some properly creepy poisonous atmosphere. But that's about it.

They are entitled to their wrong opinion. Revan - Asian looking female with short black hair and dark eyes. Exile - "female Luke Skywalker" - white female with short blond hair and blue eyes.

Jedi resemble which eastern class?
DevilCat replied to stormcloud777's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
From what brief research I've done right now, here are the descriptions of each class: The SAMURAI is the absolutely dedicated upper class soldier of the orient, true to his lord and the code of bushido. Trained to fight from horseback or on the ground, they are especially skilled in the katana, a very potent oriental sword, and usually in the daikyu, the equivalent of a long bow with a design to facilitate firing from horseback. The samurai will die at his own hand if so ordered by his daimyo. The KENSAI is traditionally the oriental sword saint expanded to cover all oriental weapons, martial arts styles, and attack methods. This is the individual who steps into the street and impresses his opponent with a brilliant display of weapon maneuvering before joining combat. Kensai often have to face other kensai in duels to prove their courage, honor, and skill, and advancement often requires that such a duel be fought and won, but duels need not be fatal. The SOHEI is a trained temple guard, combining certain aspects of the cleric with some related to the fighter. Magic and combat skills are both limited somewhat, but the character combines them effectively. Sohei generally are assigned to specific tasks by their superiors. The SHUKENJA is a wandering holy man of the orient, dedicated to helping others. Although trained to defend himself at need, it is a great dishonor to him to be forced to kill even an enemy. The BUSHI is the standard peasant fighter of the orient. Poor and hard working, they have special skills which make them welcome in any non-hostile community and reduce their expenses. The WU JEN is the magic user of the oriental world. They are never lawful, and have the reputation of being rather crazy, partly due to their hermit-like separation from society, and partly due to the taboos they acquire which require them to do odd things or to avoid ordinary ones. Their magic is closest in variety and power to that of magic users, and they gain additional power by mastering "elements", learning all of the spells connected to one of the oriental alchemic elements. I'd say Jedi are at least supposed to be something like Shukenja. Not that they are always like that. As Atton said (I think): "Jedi are always pacifists except in the times of war". -
I like him. Sort of. He still manages to piss me of, but there are some funny retorts you can use after his "welcoming" (as usual) speech. I liked the option: "It's nice to see you Master Vrook still in your cheery disposition." - something similar. At least I can laugh at his lecturing instead of being bored by it. Kudos to Master Vrook! Pity he won't be making an appearance in K3.

Oh please do tell me where you get this wonderful package. (w00t)

Umm..what shall I start from? Kreia, who is arguably the most important character through the entire game, I'd say even more so than the Exile, is not a key player enough? She is your Master (and one really hard to please for that matter), you have zero influence on her alignment and she's the final villain of the game - I don't think you can get more important than that. And she must be at *least* in her fifties, you can't exactly be Miss Universe at that age, and even then she's strong, athletic and I wouldn't call her ugly. Mira had a really convincing explanation for the way she dresses. It made me laugh, too. She also strikes me as being one of the most unsubservient NPC's in the game. Not only she doesn't look up to you or drool over you if you're male, but actually says that male PC is "too old", in other words, "get lost buddy". Not very submissive, is it? Visas acts in the same way towards male and female PC and as someone said it's a part of her character. Edit: Oh yeah I forgot the governess of Khoonda. Ugly?? Well I guess it's a matter of taste. I thought she was depicted in a very positive light as a strong and independent person. She's the only one who holds everything from falling apart on Dantooine.

Who's the funniest KOTOR character ever?
DevilCat replied to Sophy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's a tie between HK and Jolee. I voted for Jolee since I predicted he'd get less votes. Love the old man. I want to be like him when I become senile. -
I'm a lightsider. But maybe it's worth losing LS mastery for the fun of watching the fat one go in fireworks.
-
My LSF Exile - Luna Miles. I'm into more or less normal sounding names.

Still wearing the Mining Uniform?
DevilCat replied to TetsuJedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I found a Matukai Apprentice Robe still on Peragus, so I didn't have to wear the uniform for long. Btw always thought Jal Shey and Zeison Sha armor looked stupid. Couldn't force myself to wear it or put on my party members.
