  1. Yeah my druid friend is trying to get it from last summer, he is clearing Sethekk for that mount almost every day and still no luck for him ... Doesn't that only drop from the extra boss that's put into place when a druid is doing his epic flight form quest on heroic difficulty? That said I'm trying to put together the mats for Titanium Earthguard Ring so that I can play with my gear a bit more (like swapping out my boots that I just got from Heroic Naxx for the OTHER boots I just got from heroic naxx... One's got block the other has dodge on them). But those dragons eyes cost a BUNDLE on my server (200 a POP, so 800 for the number needed to put together the full mats, I've got everything else)
  2. I think you can give a rating on a Online only game, but you need to make sure that people know it's for the GAMES content, not the player generated content.
  3. Congrats! I recently picked up the design for the Titanium Impact Band. I giggle a little every time I go to the AH and see them still selling for 2.2k on average. My wife bought the design last night and she's already got orders from guildies for purchase. We don't charge anyone in out guild, and we usually help each other a lot with the mats. crap like that impact band and the Monarch crab, are making me want to swap to jewel crafting rather than Blacksmithing. That crab is the BEST tanking trinket IN THE GAME right now.
  4. Yeah, Peeps whistle isn't even in game, I do know people who have gotten the ashes of A'lar however. I personally want to get Champion of the Frozen Wastes, or Argent Champion as a title. Mainly because those are some HARD achievements to put together (Argent champion requires a HEAP of turn ins from Strat and Scholo, Frozen wastes requires you to complete EVERY raid and heroic dungeon in the game currently. I fear Heroic Oculus)
  5. Oh, I would not have done that. Valve has been, accourding to the Steam forums, neglecting the 360 when it comes to patches - or rather the patches are always late, if they come at all, due to Microsoft's handling of them. Isn't that par for the course with Valve? The dirty failboxers haven't gotten any of the TF2 updates either, as I remember. I haven't heard any stability complaints. I got it on the 360 so I could play with my dad. Last time I bought CoD4 on the PC and EVERYONE was on the 360, so it would be my luck that everyone switched back for L4D. >.> You could pick up Left 4 dead PC anyway and scream as a tank tries to eat you whole.
  6. I played both, all I got from perseus was that I'm fighting some mercs for some reason, oh and I'm part of a FEAR team not related to the one currently on the ground, but I have the same abilities. I'm reading through the primer book that they gave to Gamestop, and ATC has turned from a company that has one dark secret and interoffice politics, into the Umbrella Corporation. They control and manipulate the entire world to their own purposes, and even design the scenario of everything that's happened up till the start of FEAR. The new characters are all linked in that they were all experimented on as children in the same damn school, they don't remember everything because of drug induced amnesia, the Point Man never HAD a name to call himself, just Point Man. It's never explained how he was taught anything... Oh and ATC has control of most of the government bodies related to the city of Freeport, are able to tap military surveillance sat's to watch their projects... the list just goes on and on with this bull.
  7. So, I went to gamestop and preordered Project Origin, and got a nice little packet that explains everything about FEAR1 and a few other things. Basically one of the tests you get hints about in the Demo is Project Paragon. The drug manipulation of children to produce psychic commanders like Fettel. The primary lab for this is located beneath the school that you run through in the demo, and from the looks of it the Main character of Origin is a product of this program. The program wasn't capable of producing something like Fettel, but rather something more like the original Point Man, this fact is why ATC reopened the Origin Facility before FEAR's events. Interesting stuff actually. I'm surprised they are giving us this before the game came out.
  8. Yeah, their noise is somewhat like a bull grunting... And it's not just if he's not hit, he also can't hit the players, but Auto Shotties are the best weapons against these guys, you pop three full clips of auto shotty into them and they die.
  9. 2 things, One the world of warcraft general forums Here, and two, I think they are counting individual accounts. People often have several accounts (the highest number was a guy who has I think 40 odd accounts) rather than the number of credit cards being used or something.
  10. just two things to be aware of on tanks, you can shoot the rocks making them break up and not do any damage, also they don't move as fast as the players initially, they need to build momentum. If you keep shooting them before they get speed behind them then they won't be able to get the momentum to keep up with the prey.
  11. Woke up, went to school, raided, and then went to penny arcade, where I learned that parents are stupid again. http://urbanlegends.about.com/b/2008/10/10...-light.htm?rd=1 Yes a child's doll has been reported to say "Islam is the Light". And yet most people can't hear it. :sigh: why do conservatives try to undermine our capitalistic culture by calling for every toy that might or might not offend them slightly be taken off the shelves rather than let the free market do it's work?
  12. I highly doubt that this game is going to be about a gun toting man doing spy work. It'd be stupid for him to zip around and slaughter everyone that's going to give him information... of course James Bond did it in Quantum of Solace.
  13. We were some newbies who decided to do No Mercy on expert.. and it took us almost 2 hours to get to the roof, where we decided to give up.. I need to pratice some more. No Mercy is by far the hardest campaign. Mainly because two of the levels are both claustrophobic and very long. Also the horde events can be pretty bad because the spots they put you in have very little cover.
  14. it's not just about "losing your job." he is an elected official, not just some guy hired to work for GM. the guys that sealed his fate are the lawmakers, so it sort of serves to reason that they would abide by the same sorts of procedures they recommend when legal issues arise. those procedures are in place because they make the process fair. they, of all people, should strive to provide the same level of fairness, particularly when they are deciding on the fate of someone elected by the people. taks So... Should they have done the criminal trial first with him incarcerated and his LT stepping up to fill in until he was convicted then?
  15. ...Saw something at the superbowl today... They're making a new witch mountain movie...
  16. The city as a whole is called Freeport I think, there are several districts, only one is named (The Auburn District) and that district is where Alma was kept and got blown up in the first game. In FEAR 2 you're running around in the ruins chasing a freed Alma. It always felt like the same damn city, can't they switch it around a little? I don't mean ice level and lava level, but like HL2. Some change is refreshing, and you could try to do creepy forest and creepy country side for a change. I think both of those would require more work by the developers because while those would be AWESOME, yhe devs would still have to fit a way to block characters from running off like a nutjob and not following objectives. Either invisible walls or something. It's possible but blending it into the gameworld is much harder than in destroyedsville.
  17. Actually I've found steam to be quite unobtrusive. I think it's probably the best DRM scheme in the business. Mainly because theres a social networking aspect that you can add as well as the fact you don't have to keep the disks lying around for EVERY MUTHERF'KN format .
  18. ... loosing your job doesn't require due process. I mean come on if it did nobody could be fired for squat except very obvious criminal activity. People loose their jobs on suspicion that isn't backed up, or for something that might have been made up by customers for example. Is public office different? Yes because unlike normal jobs, these guys have entire task forces dedicated to spin doctoring every action they make, and he can't be fired out of hand for making an off color joke. There will be cries of outrage if he made such a joke but I'd expect as long as he'd say sorry he'd keep his job.
  19. Wals, my suggestion would be to just meet with her for lunch or something AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CURRENT FLAME ALONG! That way the other woman will have no question about her status in terms of a romantic relationship. Of course, If you take my advice realize it's like taking advice on parenting from a 16 year old...
  20. The city as a whole is called Freeport I think, there are several districts, only one is named (The Auburn District) and that district is where Alma was kept and got blown up in the first game. In FEAR 2 you're running around in the ruins chasing a freed Alma.
  21. Well from what I can tell from the Demo, it's really been spliced together from different levels throughout the game.
  22. Sat around and slept for a very long time... am now waiting to watch the superbowl commercials.
  23. I have 14,466 veiws... Scary part is that I've got an earlier join date than you.
  24. I just got done with the demo. Few things I noticed, I didn't know how many medkits I had on me at the time, I'd just hit z and a kit would be applied but it didn't tell me how many I had on me. Dispite what you might think I actually enjoyed the horror segments do a degree. The segments where you played shoot the ghost weren't that fantastic, mainly because they get mixed in with visions of adult Alma, so you either shot everything or had to slow your reaction time. At a few points I did jump out of my skin. That said I got a few feelings about the track for the game. One of them was that the Origin project was just the beginning. Several of the Data Slates you find point this out. I'm starting to think that they decided to go with the "evil corporation" motif too much. One of the joys of fear was that you found out their ONE dirty little secret. Now these secrets feel like they are being forced into your face. I'm going to be interested to see how the original FEAR characters fit into the story but won't be to surprised if all the members of the squad you work in are Armacham super soldiers.
  25. I don't know where you got caught. But still tips: One of the rules of Expert is that you HAVE to use rescue closets to funnel the horde to you. Also if you can don't use your Kit unless absolutely necessary, survive on pills When tanks show up, whoever he targets runs like the dickens while everyone else puts shells into the things back (also ignition of your tank will cause it to die in a set amount of time no matter what) Avoid Witches, if you can't set up a firing line and cut loose Bash is your friend.
