The Religion Thread
There might be a weak point in your association though. Religion is only one of the driving factors behind the conflicts in Middle East. The Muslims and the Jews are also fighting for lands and resources. The history of violence over the region and the bitter feud ensued have outgrown the shell of religion. I do agree that the difference in religion certainly worsened the situation and true Muslims must not show any sympathy for the terrorists and fight them if necessary just as true Christians must also fight their extremists who murder in God's name. However, neither Christianity nor Islam should be viewed as the sole source for any of the actions of their extremists since both religions condemn such acts on the harshest measure.

I agree. Language and culture vary over different regions. I think it's quite possible that occasionally more common names were used instead of the original but ancient or strange names that nobody around would understand.

I guess then Anakin's jealousy is really uncalled for. I mean even a 16-year-old knows better than to destroy the whole jedi order and messed up the entire galaxy over puppy love.- "Bringing balance to the force"
I don't think Padme is portrayed as a whore but did Obi-wan have feelings for her? Anyone knows?- "Bringing balance to the force"
I have got a question about the Anakin/Obi-wan dual though: why was Anakin so upset when Obi-wan showed up with Padme? Is there some sort of love-triangle going on here?- France Upholds Law That Smooths History
This thread is going downhill real fast... Anyways, from what I gathered, Blank is suggesting determination to serve whatever cause you believe in, whether it's God, virgins, or humanism. I guess determination could be equally dangerous as helpful to mankind, but it's certainly not a form of evil.- To what music are you listening right now?

Are you talking about Anakin? (Sorry, not a SW buff. Only seen Episode III. :"> )- "Bringing balance to the force"
Lara... On topic: I guess the 'balance' does not refer to anyone's alignment. Perhaps it's more like 'balance with the force' or 'at one with the force'. You will have to ask George though.- I'll be gone for awhile

Stay out of trouble, guys. Hilde - Where are you going btw?- happy birthday day
Happy birthday, dear friend! Btw, Bruce wasn't weak at all. He curls 90lb (that's roughly 40kg) dumbells. That is within 99th pencentile of the population.- T.O.M.B.S, vol 3

You're right! The rate is actually way too low. The AIs are definitely cheating though, since it's impossible for me to get a tech lead.- Civilization 4
Looks like it will go even higher. Luckily the rate only applies to government spendings but not including the research money. Once you adopt civics with low upkeeps and build tons of courthouses, it's not that bad any more.- Civilization 4
I am beginning to think so myself. 23% inflation is just ridiculous though. I'd join a multi-player game too.- Civilization 4
It's at 23% now. I searched on google and found no answers. Tried a few things like keeping a yearly deficit, getting rid of my stashed gold, etc. No solutions yet. Does someone else know his inflation rate in the game?- T.O.M.B.S, vol 2
