  1. Not on the velociraptors, just on the big dinos like brontosaurus. Speaking of which, I was wondering how everyone felt about the concealed carrying of tyrannosaurs.
  2. Long freaking day today. Wrote about 1500 words of a report, then realised that I'm not a student any more, and less words is good. I forget this periodically.
  3. They respect our perspicacity.
  4. Isn't that highly combustible? Yes, but burns with less heat than phosphorus, I assure you. And phos burns with flames, be sure of it. Nasty bloody stuff, anyway.
  5. yes, I know that feeling. I always half expect a girl to push me out of a tree.
  6. Are the Sharpe movies good? I've read every one of the books, they were fantastic. Sean Bean is superbly cheesy for speechifying. Eveything else is pretty good too. It's shot on location in terrain verys imilar to that in question. Uniforms and mannerisms seem very accurate. The plots are a bit implausible, but otherthan that... I'd definitely recommend.
  7. Couldn't you just kill them then seek absolution? "Forgive me father, for I have just killed quite a few men."
  8. I know several people here play CoH. I was wondering if I could get some tips, as I'm absolutely rubbish. And I absolutely cannot beat the British to save my life.
  9. That's true. Dammit, I suppose it's time to buy another copy of Deus Ex.

Dunkirk by Simon Sebag Montefiore. Awesome account of how Britain bravely ran away. Hildegaarde would love it.
  11. I quite rarely say you should never do anything. The list is pretty mcuh restricted to 'make peace with the French'* I'm usually just animated on teh topic of Nestle baby formula, which everyone knows about already. I just mean, given that breastfeeding is bettter for the kid, why not breast feed 'em? To which teh answer is of course "You damn well breast feed them, you ignorant Limey bastard!" I was thinking that what might work would be freelance wet-nurses. Could be a good way to deal with excess unemployed, and penguins. *Avid readers will note I stayed awake all night watching Sharpe from my complete boxed set.
  12. I didn't sleep last night. I was too tired and couldn't remember why I have to sleep. Feeling very spacey now. Watched three hours of Sharpe, and keep muttering about thrashing the French. EDIT: I found this . Not bad.
  13. There was a TV program on last night where they said guns were the great equaliser. Which is just rubbish. Dinosaurs are the great equaliser. Gran goes to the shops on the back of a velociraptor, we're talking freedom.
  14. I didn't have any sleep last night so maybe I've missed something. 1. You are at the top of the building. 2. The zombies are in the stairwell 3. You drop flames onto them. 4. Heat rises, the building catches fire and you cook yourself. Having said this I'm definitely in favour of using simple means to reduce the effectiveness of zombies en masse. I'd actually suggest something a lot less flammable like hairspray. the zombies eyes and ears might burn, and this would make them far less dangerous.
  15. I found some quite amusing spoof footage of them turning the thing on.
  16. Er... sure it will help, but we're talking about a complex system. More cops could mean less money for education, and an increase six years down the line. Moreover, cops don't in fact have magic erase-o guns that make criminals disappear. Criminals simply get into the penal system. Which in many cases just makes them more effective criminals. But lots of cops will make people feel safe for a bit.
  17. Shouldn't use baby formula of any sort. Deprives the kid of antibodies.
  18. It's more fun than fixing my house's boiler.
  19. Are you dancing?
  20. Spambot EEEEEEliminated.
  21. Verily it is said that all women art a bit gay.
  22. Sluggos doesn't seem to be keen on the plan, though. My brother worked security as a bouncer for a while. He's a lamb, but he has the scariest stare in the world. He never onec had to fight anyone!
  23. Great. Now I have an image of a smith doing merengue.
  24. Since the romance threads are going so well, and we're looking at general romance, and first person you had a crush on. Who was the first person who had a crush on you? The person I thought was the first to have a crush on me actually wasn't. The one who takes the laurel I used to think was terrible, because she coped with her crush by running up and pulling my hair. Oddly the exact same pattern happened later with two other girls at age 12. I spent a lot of my early years hiding.
  25. When i was his age I was being offered private security gigs. I never took them though. too much grief, always watching your back. But he sounds big enough to look after himself. What it like in the US? I imagine guns must make it a nightmare.
