I could actually sense my neurons parting like a frayed rope. I suggest you sell it to the Pentagon as a psywar device.
  2. Could be you need good ale, rather than spirits?
  3. See you on Wednesday You're coming to my knitting circle?
  4. Sometimes you have to let emotions burn themselves out, rather than harbour them. Or do I mean let the wound bleed clean? Smething like that. It's like rage. You can't expect rage to ever leave you unless you break some stuff of one kind or another.
  5. The bizarrely accoutred Todd Taylor, playing El Cumbanchero on banjo. You really won't believe how fast he plays.
  6. My God, you're right. How can someone as inexperienced as Sarah Palin ever hope to ascend to the rank once held by Dan Quayle?
  7. I have been getting increasingly annoyed by how everyone is obsessing on how she adds 'pazzazz' (according to today's Metro) to the campaign. Is this really the treatment a woman can expect if she goes into politics? To be treated like one of those girls they drape across cars? It's just fething retarded.
  8. My dad is a skunk. I refuse to celebrate him. EDIT: However, I will accept applications to celebrate someone else's dad.
  9. I'm an outspoken proponent of drinking to forget. I once got so drunk to forget that not only did I forget, but my friends who were with me maintain I couldn't even explain it to them. On the way home from the club afterwards I charged a huddle of rats that were nearly two foot long, armed only with a bottle of water. They ran in terror. What were we talking about?
  10. , on Youtube (official release on Youtube) I can't say I agree with everything in it, but partly for that reason it's a classic. I know some of you reprobates will love it.
  11. I got recommended a 9600GT here a while back. Cheaper than an 8800, and while I can't compare, it handles almost anything I throw at it. Of course I have quite a small 21" screen...
  12. I've been considering using TRIZ, to design a new cooling system. Could be fun. Does anyone else know TRIZ?
  13. Then you're ****ed, mate.
  14. No. They absolutely must be the worst you can find. Supermarket savers brand sawdust, soya, and pigfat variety. I think it's not just the grease, and the mass, but the preservative ****tail that they use.
  15. Going back to the notion that this is all chemicals I just remembered how I used to get round the rushing hormones to consider a given lady more objectively. essentially, go out and get hammered (a plan with no drawbacks). The next morning, while you are hungover, eat twelve very poor quality pork sausages, and drink two pints of water. THEN ask yourself what makes the girl tick.
  16. When I was researching my furniture I found a company which makes furniture kits, which you can collect and make up as you choose, a bit like lego. I would have bought some, but opted to spend the money on a pimped out king size bed. It was a neat idea, though.
  17. I've been pondering love and romance more, and a short vignette occurred to me. I remembered having an ex turn up at my house after a long time separated, and i guess we'd obviously been missing each other, but the thing which swung it was the instant I held her in my arms - and even though we were already in my home - I felt like I'd come home after a long journey. Remembering that made me realise the awesome insidious power love can have. EDIT: which may also prove I'm a chimpanzee.
  18. Best excuse for being anti-commitment ever.
  19. If 38% of our children are not getting any money from the tooth fairy it just illlustrates the lamentable standard of our business training. EDIT: For example, it only just occurred to me that I should have been giving my teeth to my much richer friends, so we could cash in on higher payments.
  20. I must be very lucky. I haven't had any bugs with either NWN2 or Vampire - Bloodlines. Wel, except once where I did something deliberately sneaky, and it broke a quest. Ultimately, I feel your pain, but what can we do here, mate? All we can really do is point out how much effort the devs make to participate, and apologise on their behalf if you're having a bad time of it.
  21. For most fans goals make football. I don't see the regulators reducing the number of goals.
  22. I don't own a camera, so no pics, I'm afraid. I've checked and I've got an 80mm fan in back, and an 80mm fan in front. Plus several fans inside. I think dusting could be inorder though, and not with compressed air. I did a quick poll of locals and they reckon as long as you don't use nylon then static should not be very serious. Also, poking a vauum cleaner nozzle in is recommended. I like the idea of liquid cooling, as the noise is actually starting to get to me, when playing particularly atmospheric stuff like Stalker. But it's not top of my list. I think it may actually be time to consider working up a rig from scratch, and leaving this one purely for work or as an entertainment hub/central server in the lounge. If I do get a new rig, I may have to go totally nuts on the casing, and see what I can find in the way of walnut, and shaded titanium. *comes back to reality* Cooling. Yes. I think water-cooled, ftw. Besides, I'm always curious to check out new technologies.
  23. Only if I can have a spandex unitard.
  24. Has anyone else played the zombie bits in Stalker? Best computer zombies ever.
  25. Well, I'd steer clear. It's one of life's golden rules for avoiding trouble. Keep your promises, and try not to make anyone else break theirs. I've been in open relationships and tehy're fun, but only if everyone agrees to it.
