Welcome to Blank's First DMing Experience.
I'm damned if I'm taking over. i vote Tigs, since he's done such a fun job with the abldur's Gate thing. Unless his NYC odyssey crumples that notion like a used bag of fritos.

Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Ch26 (Mae'Var)
Nor do I. I can't believe we're taking on that tremendous freaking demon. I can imagine a lime flavoured souzaphone with the eyes of Deng Xiao Ping. But I can't imagine us winning that fight. I say we ignore the bloody demon and run off to BG 2. Seriously. Otherwise we'll all just die and that will be it.

That is just brilliant.

New York's potential underground park
Noise. Ventilation. Difficulties with growing plants indoors. Much more expensive all round. Just ask any building services company.

Republican Candidates
LOL. Imagine. Neat video. But two points: 1. The point about China or Russia being chosen - rather than, say France - is that we know to suspect their motivations. I ought to be shocked to see Krezack conflating the nature of US culture and government with Red China. 2. _Imagine_ that a large proportion of resistance to our friendly Russo-Chinese occupiers was due to sectarian religious fundamentalists. Who described Russo-China as the great satan. And whose very first step on the occupiers leaving would be to seek to dominate the US and turn its great strength towards the sole purpose of harming Russia and China. ~ 3. Imagine that the Russian or Chinese are actually puppies. And they just want to play. Do you want to take the puppies away? DO YOU!?

The glorious USA
I had to sit through study and prayer, and my time away from school was strictly limited and monitored. My parents paid a small bloody fortune for the privilege! Of course plenty of public school boys claim their school days were awful. I simply direct them to my mate who went to state school in Luton. I'll take a session in chapel sitting quietly and thinking over a session of being pelted with sharpened coins for answering a question in class.

Actually, with such strategic interest in the operation I'd cheerfully wager

Sensors detect faulty logic, captain! People survived Buchenwald, so it wasn't really a proper "extermination" camp, either, right? You're a teacher, so you don't need me to tell you how impressionable kids are -Jesuits were notorious for their exploitation of this- which makes any degree of indoctrination revolting. But that's a different story. Can't help but think that the Reddit guy likely doesn't have a leg to stand on, or he would actually be doing something about it - or living off reparations. Were you posting from a rollercoaster? Straight in with Buchenwald? Sheesh...

The Wikileaks debate continues
Having been a subscriber's to Stratfor's top secret intelligence service for years (all for less than a subscription to the Financial Times) I can authoritatively reveal that Bin Laden's corpse was turned into a parasol and is now carried around the jungles of Sumatra by Jubjub, the antediluvian metrosexual orangutan. He is most grateful, since (being ginger) he was previously troubled by the sun. This was of course the plan the whole time.

The Wikileaks debate continues
Great job, Anonymous. I do say great job to them for the rest of the Stratfor stuff they leaked. Strafor's actions are scary - they're like an intelligence branch of a government, except not as accountable (which is saying something), and used by government(s) for that reason. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. They're no more government analysts than the BBC, or CNN, or the writers at The Economist. This is one faction bashing a viewpoint which disagreed with them, because Stratfor pointed out that neither Wikileaks or Anonymous actually serve the public good. So much for a free press.

I agree you can miss Times Square. For me the parks were the coolest bits. And I don't so much mean central, but all the little ones.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I found that all the mercs keep a large distance. Although I just assumed it was my 'free running' approach to pathfinding. Never use a path when a sequence of precipitous rock faces will do.

Microsoft offering free eBooks
Thanks for the heads up. Although I for one am suspicious.

What you did today
Actually I quite enjoy digging ditches. nice well defined task, all that stands between you and a cold beer is a lot of sweat. Speaking of which I forgot to mention that I had my company medical yesterday. The doctor informed me - and explained how - my core strength and back mobility is now high enough that although I can be in pain from my back, it's no longer especially vulnerable to damage. Basically I can run or lift as much as I would have before (had I been as out of shape), although I may hurt like a bastard. This probably doesn't sound like good news. Imagine you have an arm which feels broken, but it isn't. But if you've been struggling to do things and you can try and do them, just grit your teeth, then it's good ****ing news! I immediately went out and hit the library for books. Carried them all home. Hurt a bit, but ignored it. Not too bad today. Will keep trying.

The joys of the falklands..
It's laughable, if understandable, to assert that the Falklands are 'too far away' from the UK. Surely the most enlighteneed form of sovereignty _possible_ is where the native inhabitants want to belong? The inverse, where mere proximity is used as a kaibosh over neighbouring territories underpins dozens of savage wars worldwide. Note that it's not as if these people have suddenly voted to be British having been Argentine. This would be impossible, as they've been British since before there was an Argentina to belong to!
