Having been a subscriber's to Stratfor's top secret intelligence service for years (all for less than a subscription to the Financial Times) I can authoritatively reveal that Bin Laden's corpse was turned into a parasol and is now carried around the jungles of Sumatra by Jubjub, the antediluvian metrosexual orangutan. He is most grateful, since (being ginger) he was previously troubled by the sun. This was of course the plan the whole time.

Great job, Anonymous. I do say great job to them for the rest of the Stratfor stuff they leaked. Strafor's actions are scary - they're like an intelligence branch of a government, except not as accountable (which is saying something), and used by government(s) for that reason. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. They're no more government analysts than the BBC, or CNN, or the writers at The Economist. This is one faction bashing a viewpoint which disagreed with them, because Stratfor pointed out that neither Wikileaks or Anonymous actually serve the public good. So much for a free press.

Missed my train due to curry. Those who understand will understand all too well.

I think that's a very valid talking point, and will put that to the group at the next brainstorming sessions so that ...agh!

Managed to annoy the proverbial out of two of my friends last night. Basically being insufferable. Don't feel like apologising.

I agree you can miss Times Square. For me the parks were the coolest bits. And I don't so much mean central, but all the little ones.

I found that all the mercs keep a large distance. Although I just assumed it was my 'free running' approach to pathfinding. Never use a path when a sequence of precipitous rock faces will do.

Thanks for the heads up. Although I for one am suspicious.

Actually I quite enjoy digging ditches. nice well defined task, all that stands between you and a cold beer is a lot of sweat. Speaking of which I forgot to mention that I had my company medical yesterday. The doctor informed me - and explained how - my core strength and back mobility is now high enough that although I can be in pain from my back, it's no longer especially vulnerable to damage. Basically I can run or lift as much as I would have before (had I been as out of shape), although I may hurt like a bastard. This probably doesn't sound like good news. Imagine you have an arm which feels broken, but it isn't. But if you've been struggling to do things and you can try and do them, just grit your teeth, then it's good ****ing news! I immediately went out and hit the library for books. Carried them all home. Hurt a bit, but ignored it. Not too bad today. Will keep trying.

Well, I like the notion of them being good underneath, Orogun. But I fear that by simply being in the same building I've proven that _I'm_ not! Load of bloody nonsense. 15 forms to fill out before you can sneeze.

Welcome to the jungle it gets worse here every day Ya learn to live like an animal in the jungle where we play. You'll adjust. That's precisely what I'm worried about. I have no intention of going native <sic>. First chance I get I shall hive off a team and go Colonel Kurtz.

It's laughable, if understandable, to assert that the Falklands are 'too far away' from the UK. Surely the most enlighteneed form of sovereignty _possible_ is where the native inhabitants want to belong? The inverse, where mere proximity is used as a kaibosh over neighbouring territories underpins dozens of savage wars worldwide. Note that it's not as if these people have suddenly voted to be British having been Argentine. This would be impossible, as they've been British since before there was an Argentina to belong to!
-
Do you want to vent? I am now working in a huge building full of shiny pale drones. Took today out of office because the entire dynamic started freaking me out. I feel like a 'savage' in a Disney movie.

Private corporations are completely insane.

I thought you hated football? Or is it just footballers? Or do you just really love commentary - any commentary?
-
What if you ignored situations where only one transistor flipflopped? Bunch 'em in groups?

So countries are like witches. They can't cross water?

The highest I've faced so far is a blood dragon. And like the regular dragon, it wasn't a challenge at all. They take a bit longer to kill, but the damage they do to me is still minimal. I'll usually have about 90% health remaining after a confrontation with a blood dragon. Meanwhile, I got my ass handed to me by some mage that took like half my health with one frost spell, and made me use my entire inventory of health potions just to be able to stay alive long enough to finally kill him. ALWAYS kill the mage first.

Ah, I think the censor has cut out a section of that url. Just look for Kuznetsov Hijacking, and recognise the Dym**** that the forums here censor.

I could easily be being thick, but I don't follow your argument. Geographical proximity would mean that Britain has a greater claim to Paris in France than Glasgow in Scotland (distance to London). In fact Glasgow is nearly 100 miles further away from London than the Falklands are from Argentina. The only remotely sensible - and still troublesome - definition is self-determination. What you seem to be talking about - mutual benefit - is nothing more or less than a good basis for people choosing to associate. Of course it also helps that the last the Argentines 'owned' the Falklands they behaved towards the islanders exactly as well as you might have expected the army of a fascist junta to behave. It's only about one generation ago now.
-
WTF? I assume you would follow that up with every country on Earth? We've no paricular 'right' to Swansea, or Portsmouth.

History's funniest hijacking.

I'll say this low and slow: You didn't read the rest of my post it seems.. Also this seems to be a touchy subject? but I'm on your guys side, as I said, if the Falkies want to stay with Britain then that's how it should be. My question was more in the area of why this is such a big deal (for Argentina), this didn't seem like a very important piece of land - until I read about the oil The best book I've ever read on that question was Razor's Edge. Hugh Bicheno was an intelligence officer in South America and he argues that basically Argentina is mental. They have a twisted notion of national honour which essentially compells them to scrap over the Falklands even though there's no logical basis for it, the people living there don't want it, and in any case their military isn't up to it. IMO this is the most important discussion we've had on this forum in ages. Because unless international opinion comes down firmly in favour of the islanders' right to decide peacefully where they live then Argentina might try violence. Hundreds if not thousands of lives will be lost. Write to your senator, or president, or witch-doctor and tell them Argentina is being crazy.

I only play it for the flavour text. Unless you play tiny globes the bloody Hive just spam cities. Wars drag on forever. The mindworm thing is easy. Just lose your first mindworm in combat.
