All looking good. Now all I have to do is agree with Raithe when we can kick off. Can you all PM me five items of kit which you definitely want?
-
Quick! Everyone defraud Raithe's steam account!

Curious predator stalks remote Welsh hills

This is WALES. The only reason we invaded and pacified the country was in a vain attempt to correct their spelling. -
Yes, yu can be in. Have a crack at your character 'sheet'. Raithe and I have been working on the story.

I can see gay parents having pretend gay children. But is that really (bedrock reality) really worse than straight parents having pretend straight kids? Overall, gayness does bother me. I think it's natural to be bothered by anything you don't quite understand. But I get past it by just focussing on more important things like whether a person is helpful and trustworthy, and has guts. In particular one thing you can say for gay people is that they have had to make at least one really brave move in their lives. Which is more than you can say for a lot of 'normals' of any description.

House security upgrades are complete. It feels... worthwhile.

For those who are not UK-based 'Dai the Maniac' is none other than Monte Carlo. -
Story Creepy as.

Been a rash of similar across the pond, here. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the rise of children showing whooping cough symptoms. One suggestion is 'storm asthma' caused by the heavy rains we've been having, but that wouldn't explain yours.

So is that everybody? And when are we going to kick off? I suggest Steam chat for the convo, if you all have it. I've checked with Raithe, and he does.

Too tired to play any live games. So it's Civ time for me, while listening to Conn Iggulden's pulp fantasy/history of Genghiz Khan.

You scurvy rabble! Stop trying to second guess the campaign.

If you thought eating powdered rhino was weird...

Odd thought: slippery slopes are always mentioned negatively, but without them, how would we ski? -
Fell asleep on train home last night. Luckily the train staff were all really nice, and I was allowed to hop on all sorts of stuff to finally return home in the wee small hours. Also, as much as I like work drinks, why are they always on a Friday? All I want to do on Friday is go home and rest.

The Internet has got a lot of growing up to do

What, did you put them up yourself or something? Actually, iirc he did. -
Two slices, either way.

Oh good god.

The point isn't ever whether cops abuse tehir power. It's what happens when they do that matters, as Gfted1 says. I'm awake at 1 am because I just found out - after a couple of months of not using it - that Napster has been bought out by Rhapsody. Something like 2/3rds of tracks I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR HAVE MYSTERIOUSLY UNPAID FOR THEMSELVES. Makes me so goddamn angry. It really isn't beyond the wit of man to run a simple service properly. How come so many businesses seem to struggle. Me? I blame Dave in Marketing.

LOL at Minx. With the exception of the sniper guns that makes sense. ONLY THE GHOUL GETS TO BE AT ALL MODERN. Minx, I'm not clear why your dark elf is Chaotic good. Please explain.

Actually, while we're on the subject, how do I backup toast? I just dropped mine.

My new position keeps sending me on team building and awareness exercises. I keep objecting on the grounds that team work and forward thinking are why they hired me in the first bloody place. I am becoming increasingly enraged by their wasting my time. A younger me might have enjoyed being taken on paid jaunts around the country. But i find as I age that I insist that work time be used for work!

Deterrence might work on individuals seeking to shift a few hundred grammes. But we are talking an industry here. It works in tonnes. Drugs move (so I understand) largely inside licit goods. Machinery, fruit juice, lampstands. As I've said before, it takes the simplest mathematics to perceive that so long as drugs are cheap to make and expensive to buy, and licit material moves across borders with all the automation and tonnage we see then it's pure stardust to suggest they can be kept out of the country by the border people. If anything, all the border customs do is prevent entrepreneurs from moving drugs, which keeps effective control of the market in the hands of organised crime! Sorry if I keep banging on about this, but people are dying for this foolishness.
