You don't seem to understand. If God never gave you a choice, how have you decided to not adhere? You're saying that those who chose to adhere never had a choice, but you did, but you didn't? Great logic.

The Bible says that when your brother dies, you take care of his wife and family. It never says polygamy is fine in the eyes of God. It does however say you can see your daughter into sexual slavery. Levitical Law should really just be taken out of the Bible. If you read the first five books of the Bible, you see a story of God talking directly to God, and man distancing himself by asking for a King, wanting Priests, laws, formalized religion, etc. There is no real indication that Levitical Law is the Law of God, but more so really the Law of Ancient Judaism and somewhat the Law of Modern Judaism.

One could certainly argue that Old Testament vs New Testament isn't hypocritical. Salvation was assured through a sacraficial lamb in the Old Testament and New Testament alike. In both cases, God asked you to be good, but forgave you if you weren't. Buddhism seems to be contradictary because there are so many vastly different forms of it.

Really? The message I get from most religions and interpretations of God is that he gave everyone Free Will. If you didn't have a choice, you would be forced to believe in him. That fact that you choose not to proves that you do have that choice. I love people who defeat their own arguements in action.

Sure there is variance, but some doctors must be bought out because they refuse to use common sense. Saying that smoking isn't bad for you, is like saying that decapitation isn't bad for you. Who knows? In some cases, lopping off your head may not kill you right away?

NFL coaches always have the defenses sit back and play soft in the 4th quarter. I am a firm believer that all a "Prevent" defense does is prevent you from winning the game. That is why QB's always look so much better in the 2 minute drill. People stop playing defense. I'll never understand it.

I'm shocked so many people are picking Miami over Carolina. Two years ago this was a Super Bowl team, and last year they were RIDDLED with injuries. They just throttled the best team in the league. Miami was one of the worst teams in the league last year and marginally improved. Who does Miami have throwing the ball?

It is one thing to limit what you say. Microsoft is also working to censor words like freedom and democracy in China. Yahoo capitulated to handing over this reporter on a platter. That is another matter.

Carmack in all his wisdom and generosity has released the source code for all 3 Quake games. (As a side note, someone ACCIDENTALLY leaked the beta of Quake 4 in much the same way the alpha of Doom 3 leaked, and in both cases ID looked the other way. Is this there new marketing scheme? I'm not kidding. I played Doom 3 two years before the game shipped.) I'm curious what nifty things people have done with the Quake engines. I also haven't played Quake since the original, and I barely played it then. Has anyone improved upon the source code to make an even better engine that will still play the originals? Out of respect and curiousity, I'm thinking of picking Quake 1-3 up. Any recommendations for engine remakes, mods or patches?

I didn't ask to be a mod, though that was worked for others. I was nominated in a poll, among 9 other people. I went down the list and discussed my opinions on the lot.
