i gotta say i really enjoyed those sort of games
TO Knight of Lodis has got to be my favourite gba game, followed closely by the remake of Shining Force 1
FFTA on the other hand was appalling
more League of Legends
pretty much got together the same crew i played DotA with from time to time, and we're playing a couple of games most nights to try out all the new stuff
so far i'm really liking Tristana
hmm so the friend of my flatmate's that i slept with has now moved to Wellington
i guess she had a fun time here after all
meeting up with her tomorrow and we'll see how things go...
haven't tried either of them
LoL has some interesting features
you pick 2 spells to take with you into battle, completely independent from whichever hero you pick
there's a "runebook" that you can fill with runes to give small passive bonuses
and not all the characters are unlocked right from the start - so it encourages you to try different characters, rather than only sticking to one
i'm going to play a few more games before i make a definite judgement, but so far it seems okay
I just started the Rain Wilds chronicles, which is the conitunation of the Liveship series. Great so far, Robin Hobb is definitely one of my favorite authors. I hope she returns to the Soldiers son world, I thought it was pretty great.
awesome, that's definitely next on the list
been really slack with reading lately, so only about half way through the second Liveship Traders book. quite liking it so far though
pretty sure i did a silly
a friend of my flatmate's came down to visit on holiday, and somehow that night we ended up sleeping together. ever since he's been really quiet and i think he's a bit upset, but he's said nothing to either her or i when we've asked if he's okay
i think she's leaving today, so i'm going to sit him down tonight and try and clear everything up. i don't want it to be awkward with the three of us. especially considering as she's now wanting to move down to wellington and pretty much has a flat sorted already
go me
i've smoked weed before
for quite a few years i was almost always around people that were smoking, but i never touched the stuff. not through any aversion to it - simply because i didn't feel like it
first time i tried it, i quite liked it. but it didn't exactly make me go out and start smoking all the time
it wasn't until a few years later that i started smoking casually with friends. we'd usually just sit around drawing or painting with some music playing in the background
at one point i was smoking quite a bit almost every day after work, but it never interfered with my life in any way. i still went to work on time, paid my bills, etc etc
then one day i just stopped, and haven't had any craving whatsoever to start up again
i think i've had one smoke in maybe the past 4 months
it was fun and i enjoyed it. but i never depended on it
but then i could say the same for tobacco
i used to smoke pretty regularly, but then one day i finished a pack and decided i wouldn't buy more
other people's experiences may differ, but that's how things went for me
take it how you will
*shrug*
i've been rather antisocial lately
did the film thingy last weekend
ended up doing some voice acting for it, and having to come up with multiple kinds of "angry vampire screams" was quite fun
and i'll never get used to airbrushing
after that i went out to a party and ended up drinking until the following afternoon without really noticing
my flatmate came to pick me up he noticed the very nearly empty bottle. he just laughed at me and threatened to start honking the car horn on the entire way home
thankfully he wasn't that cruel, but after drinking about 1.5l of bourbon, and the other mystery drinks people had kept giving me, my head was certainly hurting
since then i've just been hiding away at home
had people bugging me to come to a party last night, but i thought after last weekend's horror i'd give it a miss
got given a copy of the witcher
no over all complaints so far. the combat was a bit confusing at first, but now i'm getting more of a feel for it. oh, and the cards are quite amusing
also finally got round to getting the expansions to NWN2
now i just gotta think of a cool build to play round with
the yuan-ti look pretty OP...
Happy birthday Shryke
heh thanks - even a forum post is more than most people have given
it's been a bit of a fail this year
just got home from mine and my friend's birthday drinks, and while relatively fun, i wasn't at all surprised to notice that many people who'd promised me that they'd come along this year were a complete no show
it's always kinda depressing to hear from people saying (and i quote) "you're a really super friend. i will cross oceans for you" - and then they don't show up and wont reply to txts/calls
nice to know they give a ****
woke up this morning to dozens of txt messages
then checked my email to find a good 60 of them to delete
now i'm sitting at home by myself bored out of my mind and thinking of going for a walk to find something to do
yay for birthdays...
there are quite a few games that i just haven't gotten round to trying out properly
Restricted Area
Temple of Elemental Evil
Icewind Dale 2
Arcanum
the NWN1 expansions
and i know there are probably more i've forgotten
and yes, i have paid for all of them
heh kinda similar here in wellington too
since moving here i've met people from England, Scotland, Bulgaria, Canada, America, Israel, France, Chile, Germany, Denmark, Austria, etc etc
finally got round to finishing Dragon Age
pretty good overall
playing as a dps rogue was pretty fun
started up a new game to try out a mage (and to unlock bloodmage) as i thought playing as a tank might be rather dull
