  1. I've got nothing against Bas,she had her moments when I wanted to slap her but everyone had moments like that. They had personality to them for better or worse. None of them were perfect, which part of what I liked about how they were done.
  2. Might even be able to do it with less, can't say I remember the exact stats for every time I've played. Just curious, did you like playing as Sen? I love a balanced character but they seemed to get the worst of both worlds in Knights. I found a good build for a middle of the road character was a Solider/Consular.
  3. For those who haven't tried turning her to the light side, i had to have a persuasion at level 14 to befriend her when playing LSM/Guardian. Don't have to have it that high really. I've done it around 9 and 10. Can always save in front of her before you talk,if it doesn't work reload and try again. I think a lot is going to depend how many characters there are and what effects come into play on which ones you get.
  4. Bastila was deep because she was an intrgeral part of the story. Jolee in comparison, was just filler material. Being important to the story is not the same thing as being deep. You HAVE to use T3 to open the doors to the Sith base on Taris,if you don't the story does not continue. There's no way around it,so in T3 is important to the story for it to continue. Is T3 a deep character? Don't misunderstand that wasn't a knock to Bas. Jolee had a lot of depth to his character and his story just because he wasn't a "main" character doesn't mean his chracter didn't have depth.
  5. But you cannot have a plot around a dead person, if there is a chance that that dead person can be alive Unless the plot had to with the possibly alive dead person being a possibly dead alive person. Or the possibly alive dead person was only thought to be a possibly dead alive person in which case the person couldn't be alive or dead but instead would be stuck in the matrix.
  6. White-haired woman seems important to plot....you cannot have a person that is dead be important to the plot (well you can....you just never see them, but you cannot have that dead person possibly be alive ) Good argument as to why the white haired female isn't Bas. However Bas being dead is an individual option. So the dead person could in fact possibly be alive.
  7. D&D Heros did a decent job with the way they did theirs. It was optional so you did not have to do it. It was a branch off the starting cave that you could take if you wanted to learn how the game controls and other suchs things worked. Came out in the middle of the normal game path so you could go back and look for anything that you missed if you wanted to.
  8. Heh,guess that goes and proves my point. Different games for different styles of gamers. I can't say I've ever played a MMORPG,my comp is horrible and I'm not paying for the servies on either my PS2 or my Xbox. Heh closest I've come is RPG chat rooms.
  9. Guess that's what galaxies, and JK series is for. Never played galaxies, heard mixed reviews on it. Some love it,others hate it. Between 16-18 I spend more hours then I could ever count playing JK both online and single player. Different star wars games for different styles of players I guess.
  10. Was more just a smartass comment. But so was yours. I don't think multiplayer would really work with Knights/Sith Lords. Would be interesting to see though.
  11. Heh,note to self-Do not go any missions with Hades.
  12. Also a proper tutorial should have zero story aspects to it. The purpose of a tutorial is to teach you how to play the game, not to entertain. If it can do both and the information given in the tutorial has nothing major to do with story then I have no problem with it. I don't mind easter egg type info being thrown into it for fun, I do dislike actual important plot info being thrown in however.
  13. If you choose to play the tutorial, you'll take control of T3-M4, ancestor to the R2 units we all know and love. Your job will be to make your way around the Ebon Hawk, which has apparently gotten quite an ass whoopin', and repair the ship's damaged systems. As you do this, you'll be able to piece together some of what's happened. If you choose to skip the tutorial, you'll jump right into the game... That's how it'll work, unless it's been changed. That's from an older look at the game on gamespot.
  14. Don't tell me they are putting a in game tutorial. That is one of the stupidest things a developer can do. Tuitorials should be separate of the game and the game's story because if a person who played the first game DOESN'T FREAKING NEED IT! Also a person who is replaying the game DOESN'T FREAKING NEED IT! Tutorials need to be separate of the game so each time a person replays the game they don't have to go through the same freaking bullsh*t every single time. Damn... Put down the red bull and take a breath. It's optional,no one has to do it.
  15. Still though, I think she had a lot of depth. My lightsaber went in real deep... Nice. I didn't know you could do it the first two times I played. On the third time I talked to her a little bit and figured it out. I thought it was interesting that the options was there to do so.
  16. A hutt can't be a jedi its too fat it'll have an asthma attack. And the Jedi told Yoda he was too short. He could be made into a Consular. *LOL*A diplomatic Hutt, now there's a thought.
  17. I agree that Atris is probably important; I just don't think she's the same as Bastila. I hope she isn't,I don't mind Bas being in the game and having some role in the plot but I'd rather not see her come into things hidden by white hair. While they're not mentioning bastila, they're also not mentioning canderous or Jolee. Are those connected to Atris as well? No, that's not proof, though it certainly disproves nothing. There's no actual reason to even suspect that Atris and Bastila are connected, except to perhaps say that they're both important female character's in their own way, used more or less as a prominent part of cover-art. That really doesn't imply a connection deeper than that, though. Hmm,the white haired female=Jolee? Oh gods is SW meets White Chicks. Now, if they both had battle meditation or some physical characteristic in common... but we don't know that, and I seriously doubt they'll have either in common in the end. At most I'm hoping the only things they have in common is being lead female roles in a SW game.
  18. *Shrugs* For me she had an decent amount of depth and back ground for an NPC of her style. She wasn't the most interesting character ever made but she had a lot more depth to her then more then half the people you came across in the game. Hell T3,a member of your team, had less depth then she did.
  19. Oh, the purple twi-lek sith lady from Korriban DIED! Deal with it Her being dead is an option based on how the individual played the game. If she isn't in you lot will whine for months on this board won't you -.-;; Nope. If she's in great if she's not oh well. Not a huge deal,to me anyway.
  20. ugh...I'd have loved to see Sabacc. That game was always fun. I had one I DL a while back for my comp. Wish I still had it.
  21. If she's like bas it just makes your job all the more difficult, but not impossible. Could add to the fun.
  22. Ahh, :D I thought I was going crazy for a moment. I don't know if there's a conection between the two or not. They've said that some if not all the characters from Knights will be back in this one. But with the exception of the droids they haven't said much,as night pointed out. I think Bas will have some kind of role. Though it might only be with Revan's story and not the over all story. The white haired female I think has more to do with the Story of Sith Lords. I get the feeling there's going to be the over all story of Sith Lords and then some side storys of sorts that deal with the characters from Knights. As a way to bring about a conection between the two games. I'm not sure at this point that the two have a lot to do with each other. Not say there's not some conection, there obviously is. It's all a matter of how much.
  23. She might not have fallen all the way to the dark side. The black lip stick and that it's that character using crush that makes me things she's dark. Where it's true that everyone can use whatever powers they wish, just seems like them shown an example of a dark character.
  24. Hmm,did you edit your post Wraith?Or did I see something that wasn't there. I could have sworn that said Atris and not Bas... And where that's true night, they've given us names to go with the others. For some reason the white hair female has yet to have her name officially said.
  25. It's not the white haired female. It's one of the new faces that are going to be there for creating the MC. Does look as if the character in the screen is dark however. And that's not to say there's no way to turn the white haired female dark either. But that screen isn't her.
