The Wicker Man (not that cr** with Nicholas Cage)
Event Horizon
Army of Darkness
Night of the living dead
...
Anything with more suspense than disgust.
Event Horizon really lost its appeal the more I watched it, still love the end though, that's why it's on the list. The wicker man is great, but not truly a horror film. Army of darkness is a comedy, but it just perfects Evil Dead by the brief introduction ("next, the evil got in my hand, so I lopped it off" ). Night of the living dead seemed dead boring at first. But when I saw it the second time, I noticed, it actually had almost everything I wanted from a horror movie - but it also had much of what I hate about horror movie: Catatonic women, obvious situations...
All in all, I'm still looking for the perfect horror film. But I fear it will be in vain, because of all the flaws inherent in this genre
Hm, would Brazil count as a horror movie? It does depict a quite horrible vision, after all...
