Darkside: 1's throughout. There.

Get out of my head!!

Yeah. For the general public and law makers to stop pandering to these leeches of society and ignore them. If you take away their public podium, they lose interest. Since people like Jack Thompson want to see their names in print and their faces on TV, if you take that away he'll eventually go back into his parents' basement and not bother us anymore.

I don't think there are forum rules against "small attachments". "

I read that too fast. I thought you said you were an adict.

Prove it. "

I didn't even notice you were gone.

No thanks. 1. I don't want it to be multiplayer 2. I want it to have, first and foremost, a great story

I'm quoting this before meta tries to steal another one of my ideas. " But on topic (OMG GoA on topic today??? NEVAR!): As I stated in the K3 thread, I'd like to be able to play a SW game where the story does NOT revolve around Jedi/Sith and uber powerful Force wielders. I couldn't care less where the story was set, whether it be KOTOR-era or post NJO. The one main thing would be to be able to play the entire game as something other than a Jedi or Force sensitive. And the enemy would be something or someone who was not Force sensitive.

Have you even made a move other than "hold this turn"?

I think that's one of the reasons I'm interested in a non-Jedi centric plot. It seems the Force has been simplified down to just the SW equivalent of "magic". And thus it's no longer the interesting entity it was in the movies, it's more a method now of making your character super dooper powerful. I could do without a "magic" element after having experienced it twice in the KOTOR series. -
See! Jack Thompson was right! Talking about GTA: SA immediately made my mind think of pornography! OMG LOL!

Depends what forum you ask that on. I think that a lot of people on this forum seem to be in favor of a game where they're not forced to play as a Jedi, or where the story isn't focussed on the Jedi/Sith. If you asked on the lucasarts forums, you'd get yelled at in 1337 speak. I don't think it has to be. I'm not sure how a non-epic SW game will sell, but I think if the story is well written, people will overlook it. -
Stop picking on me. I got sidetracked writing that post when porn came up, so my mind started to wander.

Not necessarily. I hate using the EU as an example because, well, a lot of the EU novels and ideas are pure crap. However, just as an illustration I'll use it to point out that in many of the novels, especially the ones post-RotJ, the main antagonists that are a threat to the galaxy are non-Force sensitive. Think of the Thrawn Trilogy. That would be a very good time to have a non-Jedi story for a cRPG because the main antagonist (Thrawn and the Imperial Remnant) are non-Force sensitive. I know a lot of people hate the Yuuzhan Vong, but another example of non-Force sensitive beings that threaten the galaxy on a wide scale, yet can be fought by non-Force sensitives. I think that you need Force sensitives in the KOTOR series, because that's what the series focusses on, but given a different story I see it being quite easy, actually, to craft worthwhile villains that don't rely on the Force. -
The problem I have with these "advocates" is they don't seem interested in the culprit, but at a popular supposed cause of this. Instead of targetting the ratings themself, and targetting parents who don't take an active role in their kid's purchasing habbits, he seems to be after Rockstar itself. IMO, it's like going after the Porn industry instead of going after the stores that sell pornos to children and parents who allow their kids to buy these videos. In other words, children wouldn't have access to porn if retailers and parents were more vigilant, and thus the Porn industry would not be a big deal since only "adults" would have access to it.

I seem to be the only one who enjoyed Episode III. Although I must say I enjoyed Matt Stover's novelization of Ep. III than the actual movie.

I bet they'd just close it and link to this one. That's what seems to be happening to any SW-type RPG discussion, regardless of whether it mentions K3 directly or not. -

[random semi off topic musings] I wonder if speculation on a non-KOTOR but still SW RPG can be put in this thread? Ever since that discussion of a possible non-Jedi centralized game, I've been more intrigued by that than KOTOR3. [/random semi off topic musings] -
Yeah I noticed that after I posted. :"> I think I skimmed to fast at first and just happened to come across the games that didn't have release dates beside them.

G-Phoria: KotOR II - Did they earn it?
GhostofAnakin replied to a topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I never said for a fact that influence worked well. I said it was a good added feature. Unlike you, I don't use my opinion as fact. *I* thought it was a good feature and deserved mention. And it worked how the developers wanted. The only thing debatable is how successful it was. But you use it as an example of something that is broken or incomplete. That's wrong. Yeah, well excuse me if I mix up posts. You try responding to about 5 different people harping in at various things said during the course of a 6 page debate. You've barely been able to keep up with providing ME with evidence, try having to do that when 4 other people are asking you to provide evidence for their questions too. And again, when an argument supports your view it's "fact". But when it goes against your view (ie. my examples of K1) it becomes "debateable". Wonderful how that works. ps. I'm done. I said my part. If you guys want to continue to bash TSL (and a Moderator being one of the main culperates on the developer's own forum no less) go right ahead. There's no point responding to 5 different people jumping in at various points. -

That's still not a PLOT HOLE. That's a broken quest. -

There you go stating "facts". Do you even know the difference between a plot hole and a glitch or cut content or a broken quest? Plot hole is exactly what it says. A HOLE in the PLOT (ie. story). How is the droid planet a HOLE in the PLOT? It leaves you wondering why you couldn't complete it, but it doesn't leave you thinking "this makes the story make no sense!" Make up your mind what you're debating with me about, because the things you listed aren't all plot holes. Some are, but some are cut content, some are glitches, and some are just broken quests. The two things I mentioned are PLOT HOLES in K1 because they leave you thinking "wait a minute...that contradicts what I know so far".
