  1. How is it? PS. Hi, stranger. Hey yourself! Also, it's pretty good, though I've only started a few days ago. Reminds me a lot of Baldur's Gate. I still need to pick it up (the PS4 version) when it drops a bit in price. I never did get around to playing the White Marsh expansions on the PC version.
  2. How is it? PS. Hi, stranger.
  3. Not to mention enable "God mode" so you don't even have to worry about silly tactics.
  4. Getting exotic engram drops in Destiny 2 isn't as exciting when you can only equip one for each category (one weapon, one armor). I've got like 20 exotics that I can't even use.
  5. Okay, so I lied. I decided to play a handful of Destiny 2's Crucible matches tonight so I could complete a couple of challenges. Either I've gotten really good without knowing it, or I just happened to play with some really terrible players. I finished at or near the top of the leaderboard all 4 games I played. I'm almost scared to play again in fear of ruining the illusion that I'm good at this game.
  6. I hate the fact Destiny almost forces you to do Raids and Heroic Strikes to get the highest level gear, but don't have a match-making to allow people who don't have friends who play the game to join into a game. At the very least, I don't *think* it does because when I went to play the current Heroic Strike, it sent me in solo and didn't match me up with anyone. They can match you up in PvP Crucible and even in the regular Strikes Zavala gives you, but not Raids or Nightfalls? Dumb.
  7. I can't seem to get any gear in Destiny 2 that's above 300. I guess I'll have to start playing some of the game modes I don't particularly enjoy since the single player missions/roaming around do nothing but yield more and more 300 level gear.
  8. Decided to push through and finish the final main story missions for Destiny 2. The final battle was kind of disappointing in that the only challenge were the hordes of minions shooting at me from all over the place. The boss himself wasn't difficult at all. I'll see what other activities now open up to determine whether I'm going to stick with it for a bit longer or move on to the next game on my to-play list.
  9. Oh you're still stuck on that... Let it go... Let it go Ok I see what you did there ... *waits for the inevitable response*
  10. I don't get why every review of Destiny 2 talks about how they improved upon the previous game. IMO, so far it's the same game except the story (which wasn't that strong in the first one) got worse. I actually thought the story was OK in Destiny 1. This story is almost non-existent. I'm losing steam with Destiny 2 for that very reason. I've not bothered with finishing the story because it's so damn boring (and simplistic), and the activities can only hold my attention for so long. Especially since I don't really like the PvP aspect.
  11. Been flipping back and forth between my Warlock and Hunter in Destiny 2. I prefer the powers that my Warlock has, but my Hunter looks "cooler". Particularly the helmet and cape/hood combination is superior to anything my Warlock has. Why, oh why, can't my Warlock find decent looking armor?
  12. I would never do this unsolicited with strangers/random online gaming. My husband, on the other hand .... it's a thing, among many other things. And it's glorious. But when it's your husband (or friends), it's more good natured ribbing than being a dolt to strangers. When I played CoD for a stretch (around MW2), me and my friends used to always do stuff like that to each other because it also involved some friendly "trash talk" over mics. I see it kind of like the difference between playfully greeting your friends with, "Hey, losers" and walking up to some stranger and saying, "Hey, loser".
  13. I was reminded tonight why I tend to avoid games that involve playing with random strangers while playing Destiny 2 tonight. I ran into a handful of idiots who kept shooting at me while I was trying to perform certain tasks (ie. buying guns, doing public events, etc.). Bullets from other players don't actually affect you (though I believe rocket backdraft can), so it was merely just for the sake of being annoying. I never understood why people do that. Maybe I'm just old, but I don't see the entertainment in annoying other players for minutes at a time. [/rant]
  14. Finally unlocked all the various activities in Destiny 2. Patrols, strikes, etc. Now I'm going to get sidetracked even more from finishing the main story questline because I'll be doing all these planetary activities instead.
  15. The main story seems a LOT shorter in Destiny 2 than it was in the first game. Destiny 1 wasn't exactly an epic, either. But Destiny 2 seems about as long as the first two planets in Destiny 1.
  16. Maybe it's just the story missions, but the planets seem so bare of things to do in Destiny 2 compared to Destiny 1. Each new planet that unlocks is just a lot of walking with the occasional fight. Maybe I'm just not remembering Destiny 1 clearly, but I swear it seemed more ... full of random bands of enemies and tasks to do.
  17. More Destiny 2. I'm still not very proficient with it, but there's something really fun about firing that Void bow that tethers enemies together into a group of hostiles. I've now unlocked all three classes for the Warlock and Hunter. Haven't touched the Titan class yet, similar to Destiny 1 where I only started using the Titan class after I'd exhausted everything there was to do with the Warlock and Hunter.
  18. More Destiny 2. Getting sidetracked doing these public events and running around looking for those coins and raw material that you turn in for faction approval. At some point, I really do have to try and save the universe.
  19. More Destiny 2. I've reached the level cap of 20 (don't own the Osirus DLC that lifts that to 25), and now I'm just "leveling" my gear. My gear's at around 230 right now. Again, maybe I'm just not looking closely enough, but none of the merchants seem to sell decent stuff. Every single good item of inventory I've got has been found via loot drop by enemies.
  20. Despite me not being as big a fan of Destiny 2 as Destiny 1, I do have to say it's still addictive to keep playing just to level up and find better gear. I've been ignoring the main quest and just been doing that the past couple of days. Case in point, the main quest mission I'm at recommends being Level 7. I'm currently Level 20.
  21. Yeah, I don't like Destiny 2 as much as Destiny 1. I'm up to level 20 now (I know, still relatively early) but there's barely anything to do. Story mission, a couple of side missions, and the occasional public event (not touching the Crucible PvP stuff). By this point in Destiny 1, there were bounties and other stuff to occupy your time, on top of the stuff I mentioned previously.
  22. In a way, sure. I still think the ending should have reflected what you did, even in that case. If you made a bunch of "bad" decisions or chose certain decisions where sacrifice was the key note, then that ending with Anderson fits. But there should have been also "happy" endings if you made certain decisions that actually should have lead to more success (ie. having a powerful warship like the Destiny Ascension means more chance of survival since more Reapers had to deal with it rather than being available to wipe out your ground forces, etc.). The starchild was just the icing on the cake for stupidity though.
  23. Mass Effect 3. Specifically, how they handled not only the ending, but the lead up to the ending. What you did had practically no impact on how the ending battle played out. Save the Destiny's Ascension from ME1? Doesn't matter, because there's not some "bonus" for doing so. If they'd incorporated where, maybe, if you saved it in ME1 the Destiny Ascension then does something heroic during the ME3 final space battle, it would feel like doing so made a difference. That's just an example, but as a whole, the final battle seemed to not really show the impact of any of the decisions you made through the series. The ending itself has been covered ad nauseum, so no point rehashing what was wrong with it. As for what I'd do differently about it, for one, get rid of the idiotic star child, and two, as above, whatever the ending, make it dependent on what you did for the past 3 games, not just minor "red, green, blue" options.
  24. Okay, even with its flaws, Destiny is my guilty little pleasure. It's run seeing my character level up and unlock all these powers, and honestly there aren't that many good sci-fi-type games out there that I like. So it scratches two itches for me.
  25. Maybe it's because I'm early on and not familiar with the maps/layout yet, but Destiny 2 seems a lot less intuitive than Destiny 1, in terms of getting around and finding things to do. Not sure exactly how to explain it, but so far that's my impression.
