  1. Aside from the very first map, you can return to any campfire you've previously visited. Good to know. Still sucks that it seems like half the stuff on the map I can't access/reach because I don't have the tools. Damn it, don't tease me like that!
  2. Playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider. Enjoying it, but am getting a bit frustrated with the sections on the map I can't access because I don't have the upgraded item/weapon yet. Either I've completely missed where I was supposed to craft this stuff, or it's geared toward a second play through for New Game+ where all items are unlocked and carry over.
  3. I don't care what anyone says, I enjoy the new Tomb Raider reboot. Not for the same reasons I loved the original, mind you. But for all the hate it gets, I've always thought it was much better than described.
  4. Are you actually enjoying FFXV? I found it so incredibly disjointed that half the time I didn't know what was going on. It's like three different writers wrote the story, but they decided to just glue them together anyway and hope the audience doesn't notice.
  5. Whenever I get a backlog of games, I almost get overload. It's almost like I have too many options, so I never know which one to play first because as soon as I decide on one, another catches my eye.
  6. I'm assuming the complete edition includes that DLC/expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn? How is it? Yeah, the complete edition has the frozen lands (the only dlc). HZD itself is pretty good. I think my expectations were a little higher than is reasonable. During the whole ME:A facial animation dedebacle I kept hearing about hiw HDZ's weren't that far off . . . and they're kinda right. They're not as bad as ME:A, but closer than most other games I've played. That said, they aren't as noticeable without ME:A's cringy dialog. Over all, I like it but haven't fallen in love with it. I meant specifically the DLC. I've played the main game and wasn't sure if I wanted to play the DLC (enjoyed the main game).
  7. I'm assuming the complete edition includes that DLC/expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn? How is it?
  8. Every time I try and convince myself to replay FO4, I remember how weak the main story is and lose all desire to play it. Maybe if the various sidequests made up for it, like FO:NV's sidequests do (though I liked NV's main story much more than FO4's), it would be enough. But alas, they don't.
  9. Tomb Raider it is.
  10. Obsidianites, pick my next game for me to play: 1-The latest Batman that I never got around to playing 2-The second Tomb Raider (reboot series) 3-Uncharted 4 (replay it -- already finished it once) 4-The Last of Us (same as #3 above)
  11. That happened to me when I played through as Emily. I didn't use lethal on a single enemy, but apparently one that I hit with a sleeping dart fell over a ledge and died, ruining my perfect ghost playthrough.
  12. Yup. Enemies should be difficult because they offer a challenge due to their powers/abilities/adaptability, not because they stand out in the open but require you to shoot them a million times because their health bar takes up half the screen.
  13. The game is broken. It's not delightful and you should probably consider deleting it. I admire your persistence since it doesn't even sound like your selection of bugs are the fun or surreal ones like challenging yourself for a title or the wonky physics bouncing wrestlers through the roof of the stadium, just run of the mill annoying bug bugs. I've run into quite a few "what the eff" moments in career mode. 1-I was put in a storyline where I was supposed to convince Chris Jericho to team up with me. Okay, eventually mission accomplished. But then the storyline went nowhere. I was placed in a singles match versus Golddust at the PPV, with no resolution to the entire tag team I spent a couple of months forming with Jericho. 2-Samoa Joe asked me to attack some of his opponents who are going after this title. One instance, he asked me to attack Sami Zayn. Okay, but when I went to the producer of the show to set it up, instead I end up attacking Dean Ambrose. Then afterwards, Samoa Joe congratulates me on attacking Sami Zayn. Career mode is just wonky as hell. Half the time the characters that are referenced in the backstage segments aren't the same ones you end up facing in the ring or in pre-match attacks, and then half the time storylines just kind of disappear without resolution. And now I'm stuck at Money in the Bank because my character doesn't have the "Ladder Dive" skill or an OMG move unlocked, but in order to win the match you have to achieve both those objectives as well as grab the briefcase. I found this out the hard way since I actually won the match by getting the briefcase, but I didn't meet the other achievements so I had to re-start.
  14. Still trying to figure out how to force/make my CPU tag team partner to tag me back into the ring in WWE2K18. I keep pressing L1, and all that accomplishes is my character sticking out his hand for a tag, and the announcers talking about how I'm looking for a tag. My tag team partner just ignores me completely. At this point the options seem to be: 1-Fight the entire match myself, never tagging in my partner 2-Try and wear down my opponents as much as possible, then hope the CPU partner isn't too incompetent to finish them off.
  15. I'm losing steam in my WWE2k18 play through. I'm slogging through a bunch of random matches, with no real rhyme or reason ehind them, while doing the odd promo directed at no one in particular. It's weird because the story lines in NXT made a lot more sense and had more cohesion than my 3 months (game-time) after being called up to the main WWE roster.
  16. So, is this the show where essentially the "Game of the Year" awards will go to the most advertised games, not the actual best games, 99% of the time?
  17. My take on the two has always been that KOTOR felt like a more Star Wars-y game, while KOTOR II felt like a more interesting RPG in general.
  18. WWE2k18 has the dumbest tag team controls ever. When I tag in my partner, I: 1-Can't exit the ring to return to my corner. I'm supposed to tap LB, but it doesn't work. My character will either try to climb the ropes, or if he slides outside the ring, will just pick up any objects near the ring. But he will not actually go to the corner. 2-My CPU partner will not tag me back in, even though he's down to next to zero energy and I'm at full. Again, there doesn't seem to a be a button to press (I press LB to reach for a tag -- he simply just ignores me), so my guy just stands useless on the outside the rest of the match. Annoying as hell.
  19. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ea-now-owns-titanfall-developer-respawn/1100-6455409/?ftag=GSS-05-10aab8e&utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=5a282ca04b7385000793eded&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter I like this quote: ""With Titanfall and Star Wars, EA has been a great development partner that supports us and doesn't interfere with our process for making games or studio culture."
  20. More WWE2k18. Got called up to the main roster finally. With regards to my time in NXT (the development company), the career path didn't make much sense. They seemed to toss me into a feud right off with the current champion, then after I defeated him for the belt, I was just fighting random guys or random guys were targeting me. It seemed to be a bit backwards, where my stay there should have culminated in a title win, rather than winning the title near the middle of my stay, then doing random "quests" after that.
  21. The reversal function in WWE2K18 is a bit wonky. The problem is it pops up while you're yourself trying to pull off a move, and you have to hit R2 at the precise moment or you fail the reversal. I won the NXT title, but there doesn't seem to be any recognition I'd done so after the match. I'm walking around backstage with no title draped over my shoulder, and none of the other wrestlers seem to acknowledge me as the champ. Would have been better if their regard for me changed from prior to winning it.
  22. Been playing WWE2k18. Well, "playing" might be an exaggeration since I haven't even had a match yet. I've spent the first few hours cutting promos and running in to attack someone already in a match.
  23. I figured out why I was getting the "waiting to install" error. Apparently, the DLC was for the old Witcher 3 game that I bought at release. But I'd since bought and play the new complete edition, which is what I originally installed in my new PS4. So whenever I tried to download the DLC, it kept not being able to read it because I hadn't installed the original Witcher 3 disc which it was meant for.
  24. I suppose I could try Destiny 2. I bought it when it was on sale for Black Friday, but haven't had the inclination yet to play it.
  25. I finished off some of the treasures in UC Lost Legacy, so I think I'm done with the game now. Not sure what to play now. Stupid DLC acting up isn't helping things.
