I'm torn on whether to pick this up for the 360. On one hand, I need a new game to play. On the other, I'm lazy to leave my house today.

Finished KoA, and now am on to my fourth play through of Dungeon Siege III, finally getting around to using Katarina. I finally downloaded the DLC, too.

I found that Ashley had much less dialogue than any other person in your party had. All of them had that Zaeed/Kasumi-style dialogue to some extent, but Ashley's dialogue was about on par with Cortez, who wasn't even really a full party member, despite the fact she should have played a big role if she's brought back to the team. Just IMO, of course. But I thought they really dropped the ball with regards to the number of dialogue options you have with her throughout. It was especially disappointing given that BioWare stated the reason they went with less party members than in ME2 was to make the ones we did have more fleshed out. I don't think that's the case at all.

Rock solid goaltending from Fleury in this series, eh Volourn?

Expecting a great ending might be a tall order, but expecting an ending that makes sense, and that fits with 99% of the game up until that point, shouldn't be.

Out of curiosity, what did he say?

The dialogue with Ashley annoyed me, mainly because she happened to be my love interest for that play through. Yet a lot of time after missions, she had nothing more than a Zaeed/Kasumi response. Ashley: Horrible what happened on Thessia. Those poor people. *click on her again* Ashley; I hope Liara is holding up. *click on her again* Ashley: Those Reaper bastards. *click on her again* Ashley: Commander. *click on her again* Ashley: Commander. *click on her again* Ashley: Commander. This is my love interest, the one that's supposed to be so close to Shepard, yet that's all I get when discussing one of the major moments of the game? (PS. I think it was after Thessia. It might have been after Rannoch. Either way, it was a major story point mission)

I'm just finishing up KoA for the achievements. That's usually how I can tell I've lost interest in the game; when I no longer play because I'm enjoying myself.

Don't give them any ideas. That seems to be the trend they're working toward now, what with Javik in ME3 and Sebastian in DA2.

I wonder if the Pens will ever be able to find a lead they like. They've tried 3-0, 2-0, 3-1, and none seem to be to their liking. Seriously, the Pens' defensive play has been one of the worst I've seen in years in the playoffs. It's like when the puck is in their zone, the only opposition player they watch is the guy with the puck. So when that guy passes to one of the other 4 guys who are open, the Pens have nobody around them to stop them.

I never once said ME3 was a failure financially. I've stated multiple times that we don't know how much it cost to make ME3, and thus only BioWare knows for certain. The closest I've gotten to any sort of comment on ME3's sales is when I posed the question about whether or not the units sold is enough to cover the cost of making the game. But even then, I merely posed the question without making any definite statements about it. So I'm not sure what you're yammering on about.

You're making it sound like if BioWare sells 1 million copies at $50 each, that they come away with $50 million net income. You do realize that's not free and clear, right? Out of that revenue, they have costs associated with making the game that eats into that $50.
-
Is that good enough financially, though? I'm genuinely asking. Because it could be a case of their costs needing more than those sales in order to break even or turn a profit. Only BioWare/EA know how much they spent to make ME3, so I guess we'll never know for sure.

Ah. Which would explain why the lore was the only part that seemed even a tiny bit fleshed out.

If the Pens get out to a 3-0 lead tomorrow night, it looks like Philly's going home leading the series 2 games to none.

They should have hired some big time writer to create memorable characters! Oops... I think Salvatore spent so much of his time coming up with the world and races that he forgot to add depth to any of the individual characters in said world.

I'll be honest. I'm a bit worried about where this trend is heading ... -
Pardon if this sounds retarded but ... what's the point in playing a video game if you don't like playing the combat portions? Wouldn't the video game become nothing more than like watching a movie? While combat is one of my least favorite aspects of RPGs, I still enjoy it. It gives me the satisfaction of seeing how powerful my character is that I've spent all this time leveling up, and allows me to take part in the "conflict" in the game. Bad guy loses because I beat the snot out of him. It's the sense of achievement portion of my game.

Nearing the end of my Kingdoms of Amalur play through. I'm realizing why it's a decent, mostly fun game, but not going to be one of my favorites or one that I'll likely ever play a second time: the characters are bland. There's not a single NPC, whether it be someone who aids you, someone you just chat with, or even the villain, that is memorable. No depth to any of them. KoA is one of those games that could have been great with a lot of fleshing out of the characters. Instead, it's been a fun romp with good combat, and light story elements that needed more exploration for them to become truly interesting.

That was one of those "Wtf? Is she in the right business?" moments for me when I first read what she'd said.

That's one hell of an artistic vision BioWare's got going on there. I now see why the ending took such a hit. They spent all their extra time making sure the camel toe looked as realistic as possible.

Where's George's Obsidian VIP tag that all former employees get when they leave?!
