Consulars susposely focus on knowledge and experiance... they have gone through all the basic training and pratice the Shiii-co form. But once again I said they focus on the force and knowledge, not their abilty to weild a lightsaber. Though for all of those who had made consulars in Kotor (first one) Consulars were just as good as everyone else because of their stronger buffs.

To choose between Handmaiden or the Disciple which one would you choose? (For example I wish I could have Disciple because my main is a male, I don't want the Handmaiden) The one I would choose is the Disciple. He seems much more developed compared to Handmaiden, he's great if your character is a consular and is a good medic. He's also good as melee as well he's a soldier Handmaiden on the other hand isn't really a favorite for her, the only thing she benefits your character is the BP bonus which doesn't really help much if your character has no wisdom whatsoever. Handmaiden also gets a bunch of unarm skills which she (well in my game) never uses.. My hand is on the Disciple... plus it's cool to know that your padawan came back to you

Are the terms "Zabrak" and "Iridonian" synonyms?

Though they have hair but it's pretty much like a bald person's hair where there is no hair on the frontal part of the head and only probably at the sides and back -

I have not yet played FO or PST although I now own the games and hope to be playing them sometime this year. I am currently going through BG1, though. And, if there is NPC (party member) influence there, I must have missed it. It is certainly not an essential part of the game. I have logged many hours with Morrowind. Morrowind has influence...you can flatter, bribe, etc and you actually get to see the influence rating you have with that NPC right on the screen! No, we are talking about apples and oranges here. To have influence so intricately and yet subtely woven into the actual dialogue tree was an ambitious undertaking. This was something that, had they gotten it right, would have turned the cRPG upside down. They didn't quite get it but they came close. I sure hope that whoever does K3 perfects it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Plano's right here Volo. I know we go back and forth on alot of issues but JE influence isnt anywhere close to KotOR series (1 or 2) influence. Influence in JE is romance and evil game (trying to lessen the amount of party PCs that turn on you for binding Deaths Hand. However, you dont need to influence them in any way to get their back stories. While other games might have some influence, its not as required a conponent as found in KotOR 1 or 2. I wish it was but it wasnt. For all characters not involved in romance line, all you needed to do was talk to them alot. Your action or how much you adventured with them didnt play apart in those talks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The influence system was buggy.. A lot of converstations which exist in the game don't activate properly or don't activate at all because of the influence system

The exile seems like a doomed character to me
MTJ replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
IMO Kreia had a pretty good idea where Revan went, maybe even what he was planning. But she couldn't risk telling anyone. There was always a chance Exile wouldn't choose to follow, although that was always her intention. But your post just brought me an idea... Kinda disturbing, but Revan took nobody with him, and needed no ship to get back. That's been bothering me. What if he intended to 'convert' the true Sith forces, take control as their 'leader', then lead them back into an ambush comprised of Mandalorians and Republic forces? That fits Revan to a T. He knows the Mandalorians' and the Republic's style of fighting; he knows both leaders are loyal and gave them fairly specific instructions. While the Republic might be at a disadvantage numbers-wise, a couple of tactical 'errors' on Revan's part, and no more Sith. Cool, but scary. Exile's bonding ability might certainly come in handy, if Revan was having difficulty gaining control. The Sith would never know what hit them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah Kreia yaps her true motives when she finds the jedi masters, or it was when you ask her about Atris.. The whole Jedi Council hates Kreia because they felt that she was responsible for Raven's falling to the darkside which caused the Jedi Civil war. It could also be possible that the Jedi masters used the force to cut Kreia off, I got that idea when she tells you how they can never really ever cut you off from the force permamently. -
Ep3 wasn't going to be released originally this may, try the next next sumer.

And why did he wear such baggy robes? And why did he ride Luke like a saddle on a horse during Luke's "training"? I think the final fight of with Sidious drove Yoda to the horny side of the Force. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ok back on topic. I think Vandar survived the starforge (Ds) and the incident at Katar.. There has to be jedi left right? There has to be someone to rebuild the jedi order, there has to be someone who trains the next main chararcter in the Kotor Seris... I don't think Master Vandar is dead at all, he could be possibly be raising Raven's child (the story has progressed 5 years so we wouldn't of known if Raven and Bastila got it on). If not raising Raven's child, he probably went Atris's route and created his own academy.

It's only time before he realizes that all of your party members have no converstations immo.. Zaalbar has more than every character when it comes to lines, besides Kreia. She's comparable to mission

KOTOR II in the top 100 games of all time
MTJ replied to 11XHooah's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Tie fighter isn't even on the ****ing list... So bogus.. Resident evil? whaaa.. Tie fighter still has great graphics and is one of the best immersive games... Though PC gamer had a good top 100 but they had Half-Life for number 1... I don't think Half life is the number 1 game of all time, the story was weak and the mutiplayer was awful.. Without CS Half life would be nothing more than a forgotten game -
Child sequence is a generally a stupid idea. Btw why would you automatically progress to Jedi Knight but yet still follow your master around I thought Jedi Knight are Journeymen.
-
Well when it comes to roleplaying games.. taking the time, talking to every converstation... not abusing bugs, not having like 8 points in every stat besides for wisdom and chrisma.
-
I found the dark side faces to be a bit over done.. I want freaky eyes, goldish-redish skin (a evilish skin tone)... I don't like to feel like my character is imported from the house of the dead
-
I have to admit that you have to save your companion level's to make them a decent jedi (reminds me of Kotor 1 with your main) But in all of my games Handmaiden, Visas, Atton were horribly designed characters.. expessically Visas. She is personally the worse jedi cause of her stats. Built like a Counsuler but is a senital

Aye, I was very impressed when I got coin and spirit gems for destroying vases and headstones! and lets not forget health power ups from kicking lapdogs in JE! Wait, are you saying haveing the choice of picking where you go is important? but Im confused, you have no choice in JE, you got from 2 rivers to tiems to imperial city to palace to dirge to palace (with a quick stop at Lord Laos furnace) every time! You cant sway from that route what so ever! So that limits player freedom by your own words doesnt it? *grins* Maybe, but KotOR2 is still a more mature story! dont worry, we wont hold it against you that your not a REAL roleplayer. at least your not trying to have real conversations with Dawn like Blackfriar is from Bioware boards! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well being a roleplayer is hard for both Kotors, though I find the easier one to be Kotor 1.. I mean you can roleplay a Mandalorian soldier (They took the damn helmet out of K2 even though I bet its still rotting in the game files). You can roleplay a Republic Soldier (Remember to buy guns off the Yavin Merchant) You can roleplay a jedi padawan (you're not forced to grind exp, nor pick a prestigse class). No need to have 15 points into intelligence to gain all the skills to gain additonal options to gain influence, sure seeing your buddies follow your alignment was cool but not to the point where you're forced to have an high intelligence to complete all the character converstations.

It still had less converstations than K1... K1 was loaded up the ying-yang with missions, K2 barely had any that wasn't tied into the main quest.. Beating all the paazak players, not really a mission in my option. Healing the sick man (more like a converstation) The only missions I can think off is the powercell and finding Loola's wife for Nal Hutta. For Datoonie we had the find the dead salvagers and rescue Joran, kill the Kinraths. For Korriban.. ZIPP.. no missions at all besides going into Ludo Kresh's tomb. Dxun/Onderon Missions were all too easy to complete, though there were some good ones like finding the lost parts, the Onderan scouts and the training circle.. While K1 had so many missions and was way larger than the second one it isn't funny.

The council knew if you were dark but you had to use you to find the starmaps for the starforge so there was nothing they could do to ya in k1
-
The exile in EU created the modern Jedi Council (the one in Ep1-Ep3) He and his companies were the first of the new jedi they had a sucessful order till the dark side coruppted many members of the Jedi order.

Can one play without killing, using Stealth?

I was going to say the game scales the difficulty based on your level but you beated me to it. -
Well no job is fun, if it is... than it must be something degrading.. anyhoo.. You should try to get a job that you're comfortable with... if you're a really social person you might end up as a producer after a decade or more of video game developing.

Uno problemo, chica. (Okay, I can't type Spanish very well) Exar Kun, for all intents and purposes, is dead. He doesn't even show himself again until after the movies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know the chanes of someone reading my post but I want to start off as a Jedi padawan with a real jedi master who guides me.
-
Ehhh... I read your entire post, but you really lost me on that sentence. Kreia's story was a lot more outstandingly interesting to me than another plain ol' "good and evil" story would've been. Replacing the game's theme of moral ambiguity with nothing more than just another so-called "epic battle" between Jedi and Sith would mean taking out a lot of what appealed to me so much about the story. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So does that mean that kotor didn't appeal to you? It was a battle Jedi and the Sith.. The starmaps was just to find the starforge which the sith were using.
