  1. Useless info: on the topic of Paris Hilton, did anyone watch the South Park episode 'Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset'? I saw it just last week, as season 8 is airing hereabouts now. Needless to say, the whole episode is dedicated to making fun of Ms Hilton. Personally I found it hilarious, particularly the ending, which brought back good memories from the Lemmiwinks-episode... (If you're seeing this one, I STRONGLY recommend seeing that one first - it's actually called 'Death Camp of Tolerance' from season 6. It will add so much.) Also quite amusing when her pet dog commits suicide.
  2. ^^ We have a winner! That must be the most useless info I've read in a looooooong time. ^_^
  3. Liverpool and Manchester melting together? What will the hideous result be called? Liverchester? Manpool?
  4. Yes, I am quite certain you can only obtain the two visas already mentioned, one of which you must pay Kiph (or something, the slicer in cantina) to slice before you can sell it. The Qixoni (sp?) crystal is restricted to DS, but unless I'm mistaken that can be countered by placing it in a glowstick (read: lightsaber) with your <Your Name> crystal in the other slot. Haven't tried that, can anyone confirm it? It works for the Solari crystal, which is LS only. Another thing to consider is that the starport visas are also good for earning influence with your different party members, if you care about that stuff. Some respond well to you being kind, others to you helping the republic, and some to you getting a maximum profit. Not a major point, since there are numerous other opportunities to earn influence, but still...
  5. Not quite so. They did win their very own leprechaun. They may still pay dearly for it though.
  6. Heh, I recently found the Hanharr exploit by accident. I did it a few times and his Intelligence dropped till it reached 3 (I think). It stayed at 3 even though I 'broke' him a couple of more times. Then suddenly, the last time I did it, his Intelligence became 254 (again, I think that was the number)! (I also noticed it's a good idea to talk to Kreia after breaking Hanharr, since she can then give your character a bonus to Strength and Constitution as well, although you may need a high Wisdom to get the required convo options.)
  7. I assume people mentioning the mining trick are referring to the exercise of placing mines in one area, then moving to a different area, then going back to pick up the mines again, earning XP for it (which you wouldn't do if you only placed a mine and picked it right back up again).
  8. And again it's down to bad refereeing. Hyppi
  9. Zulu - Good job! But in fact, I like Carth best in that sketch. Don't ask why, just a first glance kind of thing. I think it may be the shadowing.
  10. Full agreement on K-A. With your work rate you'll reach 60 pages in no time! And it is indeed excellent stuff as well! Love that Mara! Surprisingly, this happens to a lot of people.
  11. I didn't mean I don't like Leno, but if I met him I would take care not to step too close to his chin so I wouldn't fall into it. I think he's better than Letterman (or his writers are... or both...), but you're right about Stewart. Conan isn't bad either, at least sometimes, but his whole head is almost as huge as Leno's chin. (What is it with NBC anyway, do they take a different approach to 'filling the timeslots' or something?) In any case, I hardly ever watch talk shows anymore, and we no longer get the NBC ones on cable here either. Well, enough of this gay banter! I don't believe I've commented on your comic strip yet, so here's some much belated praise for that. It's brilliant! The sims are commendable as well. Being completely unfamiliar with those games, can you equip them with light sabers and put them up against each other? If not, that is a game which needs to be made...
  12. I read somewhere, an excerpt from an interview, that Lucas had indeed been inspired by the extended versions of LotR and was thinking of something similar for RotS. I don't think we can expect quite LotR-like amounts of added footage though. But RotS felt very compressed to me, some fleshing out could do it a whole lot of good.
  13. And spam with pictures leads to... the other side of the dark side? Spam about spam leads to the validity of Kaftan's statement above. Spam with eggs leads to flatulence.
  14. I must disqualify that entry, as it tells us that if we rip off a shrimp's head before we eat it, we are not eating its heart. Errm, ok, so it isn't all that useful after all, but someone might care... Also, someone already has apparently found it useful to learn there's trivia on penguin wrappers... And that ManUre didn't win anything this year is not useless either! It spreads joy all over this planet. Well, a good laugh anyway. Now for something useless.. let's see... Oh, I've forgotten my medication today.
  15. Yay! New pic (and a new table)! I was very disappointed Aayla hardly made it to the final cut of RotS, having read beforehand that at least one more extensive scene with her was originally planned. Therefore I'm all the more glad to see that you have taken it upon yourself to give her the exposure(!) she deserves. Her left arm seems a bit off, in the elbow region, or is that just me? Otherwise I think it's a great picture! Nothing wrong with her forehead in my opinion. She could be having a bad lekku day...
  16. The main problem, I think, is that before starting work on the prequel trilogy George Lucas simply got confused. Instead of showing the public how the super-villain Darth Vader came to be, he's made a series of films describing the origin of Dark Helmet of 'Spaceballs' fame. Think about it, pathetic guy in a very similar suit, plays with dolls, etc. I think it's the only plausible explanation. Georgie saw Spaceballs in the late 80s and found the black-clad figure so resemblant to his own that he could not tell them apart, and thus put the wrong one into the prequel trilogy. Eh?
  17. There may be a slight similarity, but for it to be a perfect match, the chin would need to take up more than half the picture. And it would be approximately twice the size of Malachor V. Some people seem to think the Earth revolves around the sun. Actually, it's Jay Leno's chin that revolves around the sun, and the Earth is just caught in the slipstream. Great sketch though!
  18. So black, then. Colors missing from the poll: orange, bronze, cyan. Maybe I'm forgetting one as well. For some reason, my current game only gives me the colors I already have in the lightsticks I'm carrying. In the start of the game I got nothing but green. Then I got hold of a silver (fixed location) and an orange crystal (got "lucky" just once, but I didn't want orange...). Now I get only those two colors. And I reload the game a lot to get the kind of lightstick I want (and some other loot as well) but it's always one of those colors. I like purple. I also like cyan, and for some unfathomable reason I would like to dual-wield, one cyan and one yellow. And I want them to have a slight defect, so that they are rapidly flashing. My special power would be Force Epileptic Seizure.
  19. I'm just back from seeing it. Ok, off to gloat silently now. Oh, and nice pics everyone. Especially like that Bastila one, Sentry.
  20. Definitely useless info: I would like to give it a four, but I'm only giving a three.
  21. I don't know. The ones I know (quite a few) seem to be able to adjust to it pretty well. We have regulations here that forbid them to drive more than 9-10 hours a day, and they're required to have a continuous resting period (during which the truck is stationary) of 8 hours, I think. Don't know what kind of regulations there are elsewhere in the world... While in high school (or our equivalent to it, anyway), my friends and I used to go play basket ball at night, from like 11-12, and we'd usually play till 3 or 4. Which town was that then?
  22. I'm situated directly south of the arctic circle myself. We don't have midnight sun, because of the hills to the north, but midsummer it's pretty much like broad daylight even for the 3 hours or so the sun's behind the hills. Personally I don't find that summer influences my insomnia, it more or less comes and goes regardless of time of year (the insomnia, not the summer... " ). Though I know a lot of people around here have problems with insomnia and depressions related to daylight (the abundancy of it in summer and the lack of it in winter). I have periods where I wake early in the morning every day too. This causes me to become tired earlier and thus I'll tend to go to bed earlier as well in these periods. But I find the early waking leads to the early turning in, and not the other way around, as in these circumstances I'll wake early even if I went to bed rather late. Even though where I live we have lots of snow and (almost) midnight sun, we'd have to go quite a long way north of here, and also quite far up in the mountains to experience both at the same time of year... (Well... in fact it snowed yesterday, but that was more a freak incident and anyways it's gone now. And there was no sun at the time.) Around easter, though, in the late morning and afternoon we can get the conditions you describe. Nearly all the people then go up in the mountains to go skiing so they can absorb as much of the intensely bright light as possible. Apparently. I hate it myself. Is this why if I don't get up when I intended, I tend to sleep a LOT longer? Quite so. And it's a bit surprising, seeing as we spend about a third of our time (subject to individual variations) doing it. Of course, it could be because we're so tired at the time... I have. Well, almost. There was 20 meters between each soldier, but otherwise the conditions were pretty much the same. I did have some space to move, but I couldn't, as we were supposed to stay in cover, guarding the road behind us... " That being the case, I was also more or less resting my head on my rifle. I have no idea how long I slept either, as I didn't have a watch, but it was a bit darker when I woke up, and all the trucks that had been passing and loading/unloading supplies on the road were long gone (though I could still hear them off in the distance). I think that may qualify as the weirdest sleep I've had. Being in the army really messed with my sleep, as I could never adjust to getting up at 6am and going to bed at 11pm. I was tired for half the day or more despite the fact that I slept more (not to mention alot more regularly) during those 10 months than I did before or since. (And bright light in the morning didn't help either...) Have you ever been on a train or a bus, in an uncomfortable seat which can't be adjusted, and you're dead tired? It's noisy as hell, and alot of people around you, but your eyelids fall shut and you drift off a little, until your head slumps forward and you wake up and awkwardly jerk back upright. And then it happens again and again. Those situations are the worst.
