Playing Diablo III and enjoying it. I haven't had any issues since I reconfigured my router.
-
Finished game. Liked it.

I notice that it also offers a huge nerf to the powers I use the most. Speaking of which, I just got the Kayran fight. Oh, how I hate it. The worst part is that Geralt only want to do what I tell him to half the time. I'm spamming the 8 key and he's standing there looking pretty while he dies. Then I use the trap key, stand right on the trap, and when the monster hits me nothing happens. Very frustrating.

I thought the 'Witcher 2: Enhance Edition' was the X-Box version and the Witcher 2 2.0 was the Enhanced Edition for the PC? It needs another patch. Combat is much improved but there are still times where I'll cast a sign and Gerelt will stand there like an idiot. I'll try it then.

-Yes, in multiplayer. -

Playing Witcher 2 again as it apparently got a massive patch while I wasn't looking. The combat is far less tiresome. Wondering if I should go with Roche or Inoveth for Chapter 2. I did Inoveth the first time and I have trouble imagining that Roche is as good. Also, they still have the Good Old Monk promotion in game that now leads to a blank website. Strange.

Controversy Erupts Over ME 3 Writer's Forum Post Name Release. I want this to be true, but I also recall that people created posts by Hepler so images or C+P of what he supposedly said isn't verification.

I can't believe someone would send hate mail to a charity.

So the manager of Child's Play asked the person in charge of the Retake Mass Effect drive to end the drive because it's causing 'difficulties' for them. Anyone want to speculate on what those difficulties might be?
-
This isn't the Mass Effect thead. Mass Effect and Dragon Age have two different teams. With two different budgets. So, Dragon Age III? Can I assume I'm the only one here who's looking forward to it?

ME3 Petition raises 40k for Child's Play. Twilight Zone and... that's about it. Then again, TV shows are hardly ever a cerebral activity. Shows like The Wire are a recent phenomena.

If you guys didn't take the time to watch all nine different endings, here they are in one
-
There are a few people who think the ending was 'fine' and I've read a few post from people who claim to love the endings. I'd suggest they're something of a minority though.

Not sure what you mean. It's possible to do the suicide mission without a single casualty. I managed it on my first playthrough. I find David Silverman and Casey Hudson to both be insufferable. Of course, Casey said that Liara/FemShep weren't really gay, so I'm strongly biased.

I tried to save numerous times during the London part and couldn't. Even in the area where you have the final talk with your squad. I assumed it was BioWare being silly in its design decisions, but maybe it was a bug?
-
It would be inconsistant with the inconsistant storytelling? I mean, if you see the ending the game gives you as 'real' then: And did you look behind you after Shep gets hit by the Reapers? The setting has changed.

Actually, it is impossible to get an EMS of 5500 without MP.

I'm not sure ME's writers could handle a transgender character. They still can't agree whether asari are women or female, or what mono-gendered means. The graph is of Effective Military Strength. Every time you get a War Asset, it's multiplied by your Galactic Readiness, which starts at 50%. So, if you do a mission worth 100 War Asset while your Galactic Readiness is at 50%, you'll gain 50 Effective Military Strength. Galactic Readiness increases via playing the multiplayer game, but you don't need to do that to get the best level of Effective Military Strength. For example, if you have 100% Galactic Readiness because you love that MP, you only need to gather half as many War Assets as someone who never touched the MP game. If you're not interested in MP at all, you'll have to do more regular missions/side-quests to get the best EMS. You won't have to do *everything* but you'll have to do a great deal. While I'm at it, you should know that some side quests and even main quests can be failed if you don't do them soon enough. It's not that they're on a timer, but if you choose to do other quests first, the NPCs you need to rescue can die or the base you need to rescue can be over run. Also, some quests are given to you when you pass by the NPCs as they're having conversations. And the journal entries can be vague or incomplete. You may want to jot down notes. I learned this during MP. I rather like it.

It's intimate in the same way that the first-person viewpoint is more intimate than multiple third-person viewpoints. The twitter feed was a twelve hour performance piece. Over a hundred people participated in spontaneous role-playing over twitter and on message boards. What you're doing right now is like reading a transcript of my last DnD session backwards. You're getting none of the pacing, the buildup, or the social interaction.

Someone is trolling the user metacritic score hard: It's 2.5 out of 10. That's.... badly done.... Is that offical? Because that has like NOTHING of what made War of the Worlds so great. It's official and it was quite good. Well, no, it doesn't have what made War of the World's great. War of the Worlds was about mass, worldwide panic. This is about the reaction and death of a single person. It's a bit like the difference betweeen World War Z and Night of the Living Dead; they both use a zombie rising as the basis for a story, but one has a wide-ranging focus while the other is small and intimate.

I never thought I'd cry over a fictional character's twitter feed.
-
You joke but... the hair in the demo wasn't as nice as the hair my FemShep had in ME 2.
-
They're doing a War of the Worlds 'live cast' of the Reaper invasion on Twitter. Alliance News Network.

Given my past experience with Mass Effect and BioWare, I'm going to speculate that the main plot will be weak, but there will be lots of good side-stories.
