For a moment, I thought that trailer had an ass-shot.

Demo is up.

I have the sudden urge to punch Sweden in the balls.

It would be foolish not to learn from past experiences. And it's not like nightlights are expensive.

Default Shep is Renegade. No Wrex. Dead Council. Anderson head of Council. Opposite sex party member survived on Vermire. Rachni queen gone. I realize that all the 'significant decisions' I listed are from ME 1. That said, there is an interactive something at the beginning that lets you make certain decisions.

From what I've heard, if you don't import a saved game, the default is almost all Renegade decisions but I played Paragon. Also, for FemShep, Kaiden lives, and I don't like him. That's what Mass Effect Saves is for. Those aren't MY Shepard! I'm enjoying ME 2.

In ME 1, my shock trooper soldier popped immunity and ran around like an idiot while firing a continuous stream of bullets from her assault rifle. On several occasions, I spent fights petting my cat while Liara and Tali killed everything. In some game, a short global cool down vs longer individual cooldowns would be strategic, but ME 1 was not that game. I recall the Dragon Age II demo went live at around 2 PST. They always seem to run into technical difficulties.

I rather like him.

I thought I'd transfered over all my game info when I got a new computer, but apparently missed my ME and ME 2 save files. Thus, I'm plaything through them again so I have an import file.

My pure roge rocking Shadow and Shade was able to take on reds then travel back and have problems with greys. But the rogue is very bursty. There's an attack that gives you +32 Fate Points whenever you use it, so I can take a red by sneak attack + upgraded charge + spam dodge + fate mode. It's effective but not fun, so I switched to a might based character. On my rogue, I got as far as Detyre to the south and... Luca-???. Basically, it's the Barrens. Running back and forth in it (there are only three fast travel points) was tiresome. When do I get my mount?

This game is a **** to find trainers for. I got a cheat engine one to work once after an hour of fiddling with it, and the next time I tried to play, it didn't work. I think it translates that quite well, especially if you listen to the Fae and their never ending cycle. The humans I've come across have a similiar outlook in that no matter what they do , things willl eventually be reclaimed by nature or the Tuatha will eventually win by attrition. It sort of reminds me of the effect Tidus had on Spira, you are a catalyst for change that goes beyond just being fateless. Yes, people talk about endless cycles and not being able to escape your fate, but the neither the PC nor the player is presented with that. I'll give you a real world example: Vaccinations. There's a growing anti-vaccination movement in the USA, and the majority of people in it have never lived in a world without vaccinations. Someone of my generation might be aware that polio is a terrible, deadly disease, but it's one of those bad things that happened in the past or that only happens in third-world countries. My mother, alternatively, had childhood friends who ended up in a wheelchair or who died. Polio, for me, has no emotional impact. Smallpox was one of the most deadly illnesses in human history and I have no idea what the symptoms are. To me, the Amalur is like a game where I

I liked the ending of the House of Balad's questline. The main quest that I've played through so far is rather uninspired. Every dungeon or signifigant meeting ends with someone telling me that I'm free from fate and my destiny is my own. The drunken Fateweaver tells me this when he meets me and again when I touch the Codex, Gadflow tells me this, the Talking Tree tells me this, and now the Summer King Fae. And each time it's treated as some sort of wonderous revelation. I think the problem is that for being 'fateless' to be meaningful, I first have to buy into a world without free will. The game never attempts to sell me on that concept.

So late to the party? What gives? I played it when it came out. I mean I started a new game.

Started on ME 2.

I have a level 22 rogue and have enjoyed the game so far, but the playstyle isn't my favorite. I just encountered a serious bug during the Warsworn quest and my last autosave and quicksave both have it. My last regular save is 5 hours previous. I suppose I could just skip the warsworn questline this playthrough...

"Long before mankind existed, there was a technologically advanced civilization which inhabited Earth. They made humanity, and enslaved them by modifying their brain to be manipulable by Pieces of Eden. For that moment there was a forced peace, until Adam and Eve stole one of the Pieces, an Apple,[4] and started a war between the two species. Too occupied by the war to see the threat, a major solar flare impacted the Earth and significantly damaged both mankind and their makers, and as the people of First Civilization became extinct, mankind grew and populated the Earth, seeing their predecessors as myths and gods.[9][7][3] The Pieces of Eden were not destroyed by the blast, and throughout time, humans started recovering them, also causing a split of sides based on different mindsets, Templars and Assassins. The Templars were out to restore peace in the way the First Civilization had once done, forced by the Pieces, unlike the Assassins, that fought for freedom and a flawed humanity, putting free will above order.[7]"

The important thing is to find a reviewer whose tastes in games is similar to your own.

Not so much release day, but the release week for me. I like to pick up new games on Friday so I can dive into them without cutting into my sleep. I don't think it will be an awesome game. I think it will be a fun game with actiony combat and an open-world setting.

Not sure I would call this a game. It seems to be nothing more than endlessly walking down a stairwell.

Picked up Psychonauts. I played it years ago but this time it has Steam Achievements, so it's better. Also, why doesn't Firefox's spellcheck work with this new interface?

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - The DiVinci Code Deus Ex: Human Revolution - This office is bigger than my house. Mass Effect - Syncronized pistol waving Mass Effect - No autographs, please.

The ME 3 items unlock after the fight where you first use your fate-unweaving powers. It's right after you leave the tutorial area.

Played through the Archenemy campaign in Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planewalkers 2012. Surprisingly fun. It's like a normal game of Magic, but it's three against one. The Archenemy gets 40 health and special Archenemy cards that play automatically at the start of their turn. It only took a couple hours for me to beat it though and there's no replay value until I start playing online. Not sure I want to do that.
