I think your Naive to see people are selfish. people do not like to lose thats true. but selfish? I will never vote for a leader that will never strive for a utopia especially because he thinks its never possible. people aren't too bad if you get to know them. Look at bill gates, he stepped on people to get where hes at, but hes just a guy trying to make a living. Look at chrisitian radicals, They are trying to do what is right, they justify it by saying god said so. we may look at that as seeing the logic having a false premice, true but who are we to say their is no god? People try to justify just about everything they do, is that not a sign of goodness? i think people are generally good not selfish. Also have you seen communism rise the way marxist wanted it to? no. You can't rule it out quite yet. If you look close at the system, socialism is creeping in, free education for everybody, healthcare is handed out more oftern, welfare, retirement, ect... marxist version of the rise of communism is actually in the works so far. As the proletatians make themselves "aware" of whats goin on in reality they will make a better life for themselves. I think its beautiful.

We have already discussed the impact of fundementalist. they are very active in gay rights, abortion, assisted suicide, imposeing there will on others. they do make an impact for good or bad depending on which reality you are living in.

I take it then you're beating on me with this particular stick? I can tell you now that there are very likely more religious folks who take evolution for granted than atheists. There are simply far more religious folks in the world than atheist. Perfection can be subjective. If people try to define what is a god I bet some will turn out differently then others. When parents try to punish their children, what is better - to Hit and make them fear physical pain, or to teach and make them understand? I think a god would be much like a teacher if there was one. i don't see much of this from "God" himself in the bible.

In the Country I live in, the christians want to go backwards and put church and state together again even though when they came here they wanted to be free from the combined forces. Gays here are getting shoved aside and illegalized their right to marry. before the civil rights act it was that they couldn't interracially marry. do you see a pattern? next we are going to pick on the handicap! I say the bible is WRONG in accusing people to of wrong doing just because of where love or lust took them if the 2 people were BOTH old enough and in the state of mind. I agree that the bible is a masterpeice, much like the book Oddysee(spelling incorrect). a similarity also that the two have in common is that the history in the times they were written atealst oddysee during a dark age. so those books will kind of give a hint in what might have happened and how it was like. ex wars, culture, mood. but of course the books were romantized to keep the reader entertaintained. I beleive there is much wisdom in both books but I will not worship it. I have different morals and views, just because christians and i have different views does not mean either of ours are wrong neccessarily though, even though i get that feeling from alot of them.
