  1. Isle of Man has the oldest continuous democracy: Iceland had a break for fifty years or so back in the last century of the first millennium (er, the tenth century, then). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A mere technicality
  2. Didn't democracy kill Socreates? I have a tough time beleiveing some peoples vote is worth more then others, when people get all there news from a television box. i wonder if they have a mind still after frying it from a tv for so many hours a week. passive learning is the worse type. We need better education systesm throughout the world Speaking of oligarchi Kaftan, The US is becoming one! a coprarete military theologocal oligarchi, its so very scarey. iceland is the purest form of democracy we have right now, it is the oldest.

These new consoles comming out are going to be powerful... still need a computer though
  4. Guns don't killpeople, its the sound that does. BANG!
  5. I am not a religious man. The metaphor about the mustard seeds symbolizes that very unity in a perspective doesn't it? Matthew 13:31-32 He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches." (NIV) Just though it to be intresting.
  6. Isn't it intresting how mystries will get realted to God's always? There might be a god. maybe that god is what unifies us. the universe that does unify us. maybe that particle IS the god. its us, its everything. does it points fingers? i don't think so. its neutral. its always been nuetral. With all of these great machines that we have to show us truth we still go to traditional methods. I can see how the traditional methods can be beneficial to many people. whats more important, happiness or reason? its a tough call...
  7. collection of ideas of what happened before the big bang. Ideas of what might have happened before.
  8. M Theory is the current idea of what happened before the big bang. i dont see a begining though... this one has to do with string theory and deminsions. string theory is basically small strings that vibrate, they make up everything, they unify everything. M Theory
  9. "the origin of the universe is only a bigger form of the same experiment using the energy stored in the curved gravitational field (casismir effect i think!) of the primordial universe..as the driving spring." can't tell if source is realiable.
  10. It seems as thought my description of a vacuum is currently wrong. a vacuum is not empty, there is still energey inside a vacuum. its called the casimir force.
  11. this is not a theory, its a guess. just like saying there is a god.
  12. The big bang is really called a super cooled higgs feild. it sems possible to me
  13. The Vacuum Genesis That theory is based on the Uncertainty Principle which says that every particle can, but the chance for it is very low, appear from the vacuum. According to the theory there are two options: A. All the universe appeared in one moment. The chance that that kind of thing happened is VERY low, almost zero, but it is possible. B. Many particles appaered and they were the base of the big bang. The chance is still very small but it's also possible. Its more a philosophy of physics since there is no way to experiment this thought. atleast yet. and perfect vacuums in laboratories are impossible to make. also a vacuum means an area with no matter at all. So give me comments, im intrested to hear them, this is all new to me!
  14. Anybody see that movie with Ben Aflack and Jenny from the block? G'IGLE i cried it was so funny! terrible terrible movie, i want my life back!
  15. Becoming content would be the problem.
  16. I think that is the best interpretation of death i have ever heard.
  17. What do you think got the ball rolling. i mean why is the universe here, not a reaon but how. what got everyting started, i know that there might be a creator, but that beigns to be paradox, because where did the creator come from? so what got the ball rolling?
  18. That sounds right to me Steve.
  19. Well i beleive we are all connected, and we travel in and out of our own universe at the speed of light. atleast thats the best science has right now, which is flimsy, but i trust their rationalizing more then any other form if empiricism. what would be their explination of what happens to conciousness after the body dies? it would seem that the concious would fade disapear with it since thoughts are particles too. i heard in the future we would be liekly to download our minds into a computer, how cool!
  20. What happens to our concious when our body dies? I beleive we are all connected sub atomically. Do you think we ALL share the SAME consciousness? that we all live, on and on and on, as one, even in death? Is this the positive way to look at it?
  21. This is a bit off topic, what do you guys think happens when oour bodies die? what do you think happns to conciousness? it goes away but the particles do not die. what do you think can happen? do you think that conciousness can ever come again? I beleive we are all interconnected also in a subatomic world. do you think we ALL share the SAME consciousness? that we all live, on and on and on, as one, even in death?
  22. I see your quote is from 1984, i just started reading that last night.
  23. Well I was at a christian site forum, and have been thrown out for debating evolution... that really pisses me of. they weren't even making a debate besides with the mutation information decrease(that there was no increase). i proved them wrong then they grabbed their torch and pitchfork and i was declared a heretic. i was booted. This disturbs me whem people want to stop talking. thats when things get ugly.
  24. My favorite types of books and movies tend to be dark more often then not. the empire strikesback and episode 3 are my current favorite star wars movies.
