  1. I prefer the almost Sion one ^_^ Of course, I'd say that :D It's the only thing remotely resembling a romance for this Sith female u_u
  2. Yeah, how DO you get the holocron intact? I'd really like to know Semi-off-topic: Tthere's only one tomb, isn't there? (or you can go to the others and get history lessons ^_^). . . but it's a VERY interesting tomb. Hint though, either save before each section of the tomb or win every fight in the tomb in one go. Sorry if that's technically a spoiler, but if you "die" (you lose all your HP, but you come back to life as if you fained) you cannot get out of the tomb. Glitch. So that way if you saved a bit before your death, you can try to avoid the glitch . . . If you save *after* you've died, you'd better hope to the Gods that you have an autosave close before hand. Meditation chamber? I'm pretty sure I went into every room . . . which was the meditation chamber?
  3. Yeah, that's what I was saying. You can get any old sabre, and your specialized crystal and all, but still . . . I thought the reviews said something about either getting your old sabre which was worth the struggle, or just being able to forget about that and making a new one. *shrugs* Or before she was kicked out . . . *cough*
  4. That all is rather fascinating and makes a lot of sense, actually . . . but some of it doesn't fit if you're DS n_n And also, having a third game as an excuse for leaving the ending of the second such a gaping maw is no excuse. It should have been wrapped up better, new game or no. But still . . . interesting . . .
  5. Code answers:
  6. You're joking?!?! I didn't know that stuff! But I've only played once and have a second character only started . . . And it seems the Darkside got left in the dust once again . . . *sigh*
  7. As I just posted in another topic, we shouldn't have to rely on another game to fix a previous one. A game should be able to stand on its own, and have a complete plot and wrap up on its own. It can leave continuations, but not gaping holes. There were romances? I play DS female. Closest thing I got to a romance was Darth Sion n_n Would have liked that, that woulda been sweet. Unlimited power . . . Except against Revan, but we would have joined her, of course :D . . . or him . . . Darths Nihilus and Sion weren't fleshed out properly. They were just . . . there. They could have been random people walking down the street for all we knew and felt for them. ^ Best analogy I have come across ^_^ It's SO true.
  8. KOTOR II doesn't just leave room for a sequel, it leaves a gaping hole in the end of the story -- it doesn't have an ending, it just ends. It could have been brought off better (I do love the game, it's great, but the ending felt . . . tacked on and forced, though the rest of it is damned good writing, IMO) and still left room for a sequel. In the first one, there's a conclusion, most of the ends are wrapped up. In KOTOR II, there are no wrap ups, no diffinative endings. This game can't have a sequel, it can only have a second part. I mean, that's unrealistic to make so the only conclusions is to have a KOTOR III; but the game should be able to stand on its own and not depend on another one that *may* be coming out. Empire Strikes Back can stand on its own as a movie. It's not finished, but it has an end that obviously leads into another movie. However, TSL doesn't have that feel. We don't know if there's gonna be another KOTOR (pray to the Gods that there is!) so it should be able to end at the end and not *need* another game. Not to say that another game can't spawn from it. I can't really explain it I guess. But sequel to it or no sequel, the ending should have been better written, more in line with the rest of the game, which was thoroughly enjoyable (except the glitches, but I managed alright n_n)
  9. I thought the reviews and such said you *could* get your old sabre back, and that it was special or something. I wouldn't mind mine back, just to see . . . That really sucks, though, if you can't get it
  10. He's actually pretty strong. Especially with that wookie rage thing. Wow. And no, there's no pivotal point in the story. In one way it sucks, but in another, it's cool because it's original. It's neat and original, but pivotal points are neat too ^_^
  11. I *so* agree with everyone here. It was like an unfinished novel. They had everything set out, rather well IMO, but then just cut the book in half and added a page at the end to sum up the other half of the book you're missing. Everything was left open-ended. It started into something, then was never touched again or resolved. I almost didn't want to play again either. But the beginning *is* so good that it deserves another play through. Maybe I'll make an LS character to get more plot stuff figured out. And the DS was still childish. I played it, but I couldn't twist my characters how I wanted. How do you get Mira? Both my brother and I got the wookie (though he got the wookie through a semi-glitch . . .) anyhoo . . . Yeah, it definately needed polishing off. The story was amazing, but dropped off at the end to non-existance and just seemed to wrap up poorly. I've come across I think four massive glitches that would have ended my game if I hadn't saved at a lucky time (and used major brain power) to get past them. I think we can all agree that we really want a KotOR III, and I'd like it along the same lines as this one, but with better DS, better twisting of the characters, and a more flushed out ending. Oh, and wtf was with Darths Nihilus and Sion?!?! We didn't even know them, they hadn't even really made an appearence in the story, they didn't really have any influence on anything (other than being a distant threat) and we then had to kill them?! They really needed to be more fleshed out. Sorry for ranting o_O
  12. When I blew it open (a few times to try to not destroy the holocron because I wanted to see what it said -- and I'm DS, as always n_n) it *always* destroyed the holocron. It has nothing to do with your alignment: is there any way to do it without destroying it??
  13. K, I've gone through the whole tomb, done all the memory/vision stuff, got the stuff from the sarcophagus, and tried to open the three doors. Nothin' doin'. I've been stuck for hours and been through the whole place a billion times over and I can't figure out how to unlock the exit door. It's probably something very obvious I'm missing, but still, it's frustrating me and I just wanna get out of it. So if anyone's already done the tomb test . . . please help!!!
  14. Exactly. Why can't we have realistic female characters? Which means that they'll span a broad spectrum. "Strong women" do exist in real life: I happen to be one, so I know that there IS a spot for a female to be just a normal character not a "female character, oh wow, she's actually a girl!" Just a bloody character!
  15. Okay, I mean, that was all, again, valid, but to me . . . Let's put it this way, I'm six foot and am no weakling. I have bigger shoulders and muscle than every male in my family (except my bro who's built like me only bigger O_O; yeah, huge). So I *AM* that tough bad@ss female character and I've always been one of the boys and always just been accepted. So it's strange for it to not be normal, I guess. That's why I react so strongly: I don't care that I'm female. I do what I can do, and it has nothing to do with my sex or some gender I was [read: wasn't] trained to be. Though I do agree that things are fine the way they are, I would like to see a female Sith Lord. I'd love to be one :D I'd do a great job, but I don't think that's happening any time soon o_o It's fine to let the boys play, but I've always been the girl playing with you, and never seen as a "girl". So I just don't get why there can only be the one obligatory female, instead of having it more natural. Equal doesn't necessary mean even. There will always be more men in war and fighting and conflict: that's nature. But that doesn't mean that there are no women. I guess . . . I guess I'd just like to be better represented.
  16. I had to pick Candy because I don't know anything about the Masked Sith dude. I also wanted to pick "ewww, men are gross!" but meh Gluupor? Wtf were you thinking?
  17. I picked HK because he's my voice of reason, but R2 is a very close second. Jedi or Sith, Rebel or Imperial, you have to love R2 n_n
  18. Gods. Why does a female character have to be such a massive effing deal? Why does it have to be sex-based? Okay, the point about seduction and control is completely valid and I agree: but not every female [sith] has to be like that. Why can't there be legit female characters? Why should their sex be the very basis of them? Shouldn't sex be incidental? Or, really, I think we're speaking about GENDER. I really don't care if you're male or female: if you can do it, you can do it. I think there need to be more female characters just because it's unbalanced and there haven't been female Sith Lords. As for shoving strong females down your throat and them being unbelievable . . . I know if I go onto this one I'll end up flipping out. I don't think there's anything wrong with strong women. Maybe we just need to be accepted and stop being treated/thought of differently? One more thing . . . the mask I find is more elegant, which people seem to equate with feminine now-a-days, but that's not necessarily true. It could be male.
  19. More female Sith would rule :D Of course, I'm including myself in that statement But seriously, it'd be sweet to see a real female Sith Lord (or Lady if you so desire . . .). I don't see why she'd be any different from the guys, I mean, it shouldn't be a big deal: still, women should be more equally portrayed. Damn it guys, we girls need a sith mentor too
  20. OH!!! It's with Georgy-porgey n_n!! I know which episodes he's from now: he looked so familiar like that, I just couldn't remember which era. I think I have the video that pic's from o_o I know, I'm a freak n_n
  21. I don't see that going on in this thread, actually, for once. We're actually discussing something pretty calmly O_O But I do agree, usually it's just a pointless flamewar. And is that who I think it is in your avatar?!!? O_O;; Prince Edmund?
  22. Who says that either side are exclusively "save" or "rule". I mean, not everyone is at the end, or the finishing stage. Not to mention you need people to make up a hierarchy, not just the top. I mean, I can understand what you're saying, but that still sounds really undecided. Kinda like a non-voter. "I just don't care." Well, I have a hell of a lot more fun not caring with the Sith ^_^
  23. Realists. Without pipe dreams. Natural.
  24. Oh, I wasn't saying that EVERYONE who is Grey"side" is a fence sitter or doesn't really believe in it. Some people are actually like that, and I can accept it. But it seems rather prolific and a bit of a fad. For the most part, I think Grey is just a copout. There are, however, always exceptions to a rule, and they'll exist here too. But following what Exar said, SW isn't really based on neutrality. It's on extremes. Now, extremes are bad, there should always be balance, but still. Dark or light, "good" or "bad", that's the SW universe. Though I did enjoy the little poem thing ^_^ I wouldn't ever, though, call the Darkside evil But that's me.
  25. Oh please. Grey? Shadow Jedi? Fence sitters? Jolee is one of the very few I could actually accept as Grey. Most people do it because they either can't make a decision or commitment to what they believe, are fence sitters, or are following a fad. I at least respect Jedi's for having convictions.
