Nonsense. Jordan was a very good defensive player. And, he was also a solid leader. It's no wonder that someone like Rodman was on his behaviour while in Chicago. And, yes, the Moose is the best leader in all of sports. This is a factual fact.

It's fun to discuss, argue, whine, debate, spit, fught, and fart over things that don't neccessarily effects one directly on the 'net. Afterall, without that, the 'net is a useless communication tool to interact with a whole bunch of morons from around of the world when we could just waste the time talking with morons from close to home. R00fles!

Bah, Hades. Don't ruin our fun. This thread is fun. Leave us to uss walloing our own poo thinking it don't need stink in peace. It's the interent where this kind of stuff is the only way to illustrate how evil the 'net really is.

"Jesus christ, i've managed to pack all my belongings, move 400km to another city and get the new apartment in order (10mbit connection, yum!) and still thread is still going?" Ha. Same here except I didn't leave the city. P.S. To find my new address search the Codex boards.

"The mere fact that police officers have specialized teams such as SWAT is evident that police are not trained for a wide variety of emergencies, particularly unusual ones." Haha. The same can be said why there are so many specialized training for the army too. And, as Iraq proof, the typical army is not well trained to deal with mass looting and what not. The army is trained for WAR; not for civilian control. Last I checked, a hurricane is NOT a war.

No one compares to Mess when it comes to leadership. There's a reason why he's pretty much considered the best leader ever in sports not just in hockey. Lemiuex coming back time in time out from injury/cancer does not prove leadership. All it proves is that he's a cripple who doesn't get the hint. For example, Lemiuex will play like 40 games this year, then he'll likely sit out the rest with ana ching back. As for whose more popular between Gretz and Mess in Edmonton; I truly don't care. Edmonton fans are the foolish ones. As for leadership on Edmonton, all I gotta point out a simple fcat - who on MVP of the play-offs during Edmonton's first SC? Who won more cups in Edmonton between the two, and in their career? 'Nough said. LONG LIVE THE MOOSE! Gretz is a one dimensional player - albeit a great one - but Mess is the total package. The only thing he didn't do was goaltend and I'm sure if he wanted to hre'd be great at that too.

A fanboy, by definition, is someone who thinks and does the following: 1. Not evenb bother to purchase two games from said company 2. be cakked bad names by employees because he said negatie things about said company's gamll 3.make disparging remarks about two of their games The listc an go on; but if someone should be called a fanboy it is Roishioini because he actually belives PST is perfect. Go figure.

"Volourn, you were waiting for someone to disagree, wern't you" When it comes to posting on the 'net, that wait is never long. " I could start a thread with any topic and take any side of that topic, and one galoot would auto disagree. I could say my computer desk is green, and I'm sure someone would pop in and say it's blue. R00fles! P.S. Now, that i pointed out, no one will disagree just to prove me wrong. LOL :D

"I'm not even dignifying that" You just did. Either way, my statement is very much factual. In fact, it is factually undisputable. A role-playing game - by definition - is a game in which you play a role. Period.

A paragraph by a fellow poster is not 'numbers'; but innuendo. Espicially when said numbers are full of half truths, misleading statemennts, and clouds of holley garbage. And, anyone who needs to compare Halo 2 to JE in a lame attempt to prove JE is a 'failure' has alreayd lost the battle. Anyone who thought that JE was *ever* in Halo 2's league is just plain old fashion doesn't know anything about the gaming industry. In fact, they're so off they know even less than me. R00fles!

That's not looting in the sense we're trying to use it. Those FBI agents stole things after the disaster was over. They stole it during the investigation. it's morally wrong of course; but ti's not the same crime as looting during a disaster taking place. Of course, looting is just another way to say 'stealing during a major crisis' so meh it comes down to the same thing. And, as before, sure there was likely actual looting taking place during 9/11; but nowhere near the level we've seen in NO even taking into account the fact that the NO disaster lasted about a week while 9/11 was basically over in less than day.
-
Damn. 37 pages yet still no proof. The wait continues on.
-
A role-playing game is a game where you play a role.
-
Likely not on grand a scale of NO or else we wouldn't just hear 'mythical' stories of looting - we'd actually see it. And, remmeber some looting is basically common criminals who would other wise steal disaster or no disaster. Afterall, how manyc rimes are commited during a typical NY day? I guess it's higher than 0.0. And, oh, bottom line, police are trained to detail with all sorts of special circumstances, and disasters - just like the army. Just like the army, some ar ebetter trained than others. In essence, NYPD > NOPD. Game over.
-
"What's the population difference between New York City and New Orleans?" Irrelevant for so many reasons. I, afterall, would think that NO had enough police officers hired to police their population. Add that the fact that large faction of No's population had left the city; they had the numbers to police the city. They have no exuse. None. Zilch. Zero. Nadda. The police are trained to deal with emergenices of all kinds. This is a fact. Well, maybe not in NO; but it's another reason to say how much better the NYPD are comapred to NOPD. Absolute pathetic showing. They are a shame to all police, and the bravery, skill, and honour that most police show.

"It is weird though that he didn't stay for just another season. I mean, why not end his career in Edmonton (I know the fans would love that), pass Howe on most games played and score a measly 7 more goals to break the magic 700 goals barrier? I know it means nothing to him, but still.. He wasn't bad in his last season and the fans sure want him back, and he himself said he was healthy. Like I said, it's weird." Messier said his only choice was the Rangers. Other than that, I 100% agree with you. He may not care about his stats rcords; but his fans do. I wanna him to CRUSH Howe. CRUSH him like poo. "When you state that his retirement is a reason to hate the new NHL, it gives implication that the new NHL is cause for his departure." When I state 'new NHL' it's in reference to the fact that there was no NHl last year. And, in a way, the new NHl does play a huge part. It's 99% likely that Mess 9and the other greats who are retiring) would have played last year if there was hockey; but with a year off they learned that they don't nee dhockey as much as they though. Afterall, Mess has been playing in the NHl for over half his life. It's all he knew until last year. And, he elarned life without the NHl isn't horrible. Damn the new NHL. It's gonna suck!

LOL In other words, you don't know the development costs of JE. 'Nough said. P.S. The fact you are trying to include sandwhiches and building space as part of the cost of JE says everything about your supposed knowledge. And, oh, your 'i know an x who did y' does nothing for me.

"Police Officers aren't trained to deal with hurricanes." Aye. And,w e all know when entering the army, all recruits are trained in Hurricane Safety 101. R00fles! Bottom line here is that both the army and police officers are trianed ind ealing with emergenices of all kinds. Hell, police officers have an emergency number mad eout for emergnecies. Go figure. "Even though you grossly compare them to 911, which is a situation that would not result in rampant looting, and for the most part was overwith relatively quickly compared to New Orleans, you wouldn't make such silly allegations." The simple reasonw hy there was no looting on 9.11 wa sbecause the police wer eon the scene right away. Where were the NO police after the hurricane? Either running away, satnding by the mayor crying for their army, or picking their nose while watching looters steal. Their job is to stop theives and they didn't do it. "What's more pathetic? Someone that shows fear in a horrible situation that they have not been physically or emotionally prepared for, or someone sitting in his cozy chair passing judgement on those whom he cannot relate to?" They'r epolice offciers. They're tained to dela with emergencies. I'm not asking them to dela with the flood; but with the people AFTER the flood. And, you don't know if I even have a chair or if I do if it's cozy. All i gots to say is the NYPD had no problem risking their lives for their job while the NOPD's only cocnern was protetcing their own sorry skin. And, oh, the NYPD were likely scared too. You lose.

Fallen from grace? Coming from someone like you who has never been a 'fan' of mine; I'm too worried about that. "Stating that Messier's departure is a reason to hate the "new" NHL indicates that the new NHL is to blame for his departure." No. Nowhere in my statement is that even implied.

Be my guest. it's funny though that only seem to fully recall that mythical page. "

"However, the other games of Jade Empire's exposure and budget tend to make 500k sales in their first few days." You know JE's budget? WOW! Ok then. How much did JE cost to develop, and advertise? I shall await since you seem knowledgeable about JE's budget. "Bioware said the LE copies would sell-out on preorders alone. They still sit on store shelves. You've been told this multiple times." You gave no evidence. You gave a link to their On Line Store. That's not proof. "Proof please. I'd like to see actual documented proof that Troika kept trying to hardball publishers. So far I've seen conjecture and rumors and innuendo on your part. I'd also like to see proof that they were having financial difficulty." Does conjecture include rewading what troiians themselves wrote themselves in regards to the company's collapse? The main reason why they went under is simply because they couldn't find a publisher to finance any future products. Troika also made it clear that publishers weren't inetrested in what they wer eoffering. Period. Troika wanted to do a PA RPG; pubishers didn't want to publish it. Game over. "For someone who is always asking for proof from others you're quite the hypocrite in terms of rarely (note the word "rarely" before you throw a hissy fit and link me to one or two times out of 7000 that you provided proof) providing proof for things you post." Giving proof is one thing; giving proof that ha sbeen shared so many others times is beneath me. I'm not gonna share links in cases where a simple search by you will find said proof within minutes. I may be lazy; but don't blame my laziness for your laziness. "he beholds his opinion over the statements of Bioware employees and marketters" Huh? I'm a BIOfanboy. Doesn't that mean I should believe EVERYTHING BIO tries to feed me? LOLOLLIPOP Another myth shattered.

It's not about reuptation. i persoanlly don't care about repuatation. Heck, my posting style is proof of that. LOL I just feel that if you take a job that is inherently risky; it's your duty to follow through even if that jobs gets really risky. And, no, I don't expect them to 'fight a hurricane'. That would be silly. I respect bravery; not stupitiy. However, they should have been there guariodng the streets - instead of us ahving to hear the whiny mayor crying for the army. It seems odd to me that the NOPD can handle their work in non cris times; but as soon as something out of their contro, happens those same thieves and thigs they'd be arresting are instead given a pathway to commit their heinous crimes right in front of said police officers with only a shrug. I vavlue friends,a nd family too. That's why I expect the officers to do their job. And, their families should expect them to too. I wonde rhow a NO cop would feel if one of their family members happen to be in, say, NY, and got robbed and/or killed while a NYPD police officer did nothing because they were too busy trying to evacuate THEIR family after the 9/11 bombings? Not happy to be sure. That is all.

500k sales. 'Nough said. Unlike you, I don't consider Dave Gaider a god. His word isn't holy gospel. I think he's cool; but he's not all knowing. Not to mention how in his little speech he never mentioned JE; but 'just' DA and NWN - both PC games, and both games highly dependent on a MP component. Hmm.. I still await a short list of 500k sellers that were considered bombs by the developer/publisher financially. So, that means no Lara Croft games. LOL 5 is a reaosnable request as every rule has an exception. Even 1 would be a start as it would at least show it as a possibility albeit slim. BIO considers it to be successful. MS considers it successfule nough to already announce JE2 for the x-box 360 to be a definite even before Bio is ready to officially annouce it. That's proof enough for me unless you have proof that the BIO rep was lying ala a taping of him admitting it behind the scenes. "Proof please." Many reasons were given by Troika and others for why they ultimately failed tro stay in business. Do research. Sales were not the only reason - not even close. I shall await. "Oh and about Troika, six months after BL was released? Try financial difficulty ONE month after. If you followed the Bloodlines forums you would have known that." What Bl forums? And, if they wer ehaving financial dififuclty one month afterwrads; it's obviously wasn't because of Bl possible lack of sales; but the alck of sales from previous titles and no future dvelopment deals because Troika kept trying to hardball publishers. And, they failed. R00fles!
