HUZZAH! Neverwinter Nights 2 gone Gold!
Volourn replied to Judge Hades's topic in Computer and Console
I can now OFFICIALLY play NWN2 with my computer!!! -
"Who can hate on Micheal Ironside after he got his arms chopped off in Total Recall? " It's not about hate. I like Micheal Ironside. I'm just pointing out that that the thread was inaccurate. This isn't a list of A List actors -either movie or otherwise.

I passed the test with these computer specs: Duel processors running Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz CPU Speed of 3.00 GHz Performance rated at 5.40 GHz 1.2 GB RAM Windows XP Radeon x1600 35.3GB free disk space This computer CRUSHES NWN2!!! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

A List? I dunno about that. I do see a couple of B List Actors though...

"so even given a few decades it would be strange for them to have spread to the east coast." No, it wouldn't be. And, how do you know about their 'breeding habits'?

"I like to play mage characters" JE wasn't a D&D type game. You are thinking in that archetype of game. Everyone should have realized going in that while JE *is* a role-playing game (depsite the RT combat) that there would be limits (like 99% of RPGs) and that you would be 'forced' to role-play some sort of martial artist. That said, you could effectively play a mage if you so wished though some battles would have forced you to chnage it up a bit (just like some enemies in D&D are also immune to spells). Tigranes; I kinda agree that JE did have a lot of high fantasy elements to it. Then again, I didn't think BIO made it a secret that it would share similarities to that tpe of game. It also had differences as well. "think what it is missing is the lack of roaming opportunities....the presentation was very linear, very Yellow Brick Road-ish. I'm thinking if future games have more of a "free-roam" element, that will help a lot." Yeah. They wasted their pretty world map, imo. It wa slinear in that way; but the role-playing chocies and multiple ways to complete quests made up for that, imo. P.S. JE > KOTOR

"Put in an "IMO" next time, or an "IMHO", if you swing that way." NO! If you couldn't tell it was an opinion then that's your loss; not mine. It should be beyond OBVIOUS that it was opinion. NEWSFLASH: Whenever someone favors one game over another it is ALWAYS an OPINION. ALWAYS.

"I was more referring to Volo's rather tenacious reiterations of how much better JE is than the games he has listed. He's gone on about it numerous times before, and it seemed like this thread was just an excuse to start it up again, while falling back on the veil that it's a discussion about IGN's list." False. The thread is exactly what it is. It's about the IGN Top 100. Just like anyone else, I have my opinions on the list. I gave them. Just like others have given theirs. I think the problem here is certain people don't like it when a different opinion is shared so they cry about it espicially if it's my opinion. P.S. JE > KOTOR

"and I call him a "rookie" because he has never had a streak of more than 3 full games back to back till this season." So a carerr back up of 10+ seasons is considered a rookie just because they don't play 3 consecutive games? WOW! And, if the Bears do manage to win the SB; the team would have earned it; but the QB would have gotten a free ride. And, i exclaim: NO MORE FREE RIDES!

"Come on, you had to pick from five or six pre-made character models to start." Since when do character models have to do with role-playing? OMG You are worse than the Codex. Avatars = Role-playing now? L0LLERZ JE > KOTOR

Congratulations Atari! -
More than peoples' opinion shere. that's for sure. KOTOR better than JE. LOL That's hilarious. And, stupid IGN is dumb enough to agree with that assessment. JE > KOTOR Game over.

Bush changes justification for invasion of Iraq...
Volourn replied to Judge Hades's topic in Way Off-Topic
Meh. That's being technical. It's still very much a democracy in its basic principal - as in the people do have a say who gets elected even though it isn't one person = one vote. -
JE (#43) was deservedly placed ahead of the pathetic Oblivion (#57), and the good but heavily flawed KOTOR2 (#87). That's the good news. The bad news is that the fine but vastly overrated KOTOR1 will likely be higher on the list. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The list continues tomorrow!!!

His receivers hardly dropped any balls. They couldn't. His passes wer eusually nowhere near them. I think it's the worst QB performance I have *ever8 seen in the NFL. I'm sure you'll likely point out others; but meh. His fialures last night were 100% on him. He was pathetic man. Pathetic. Pathetic QBs don't deserve to win SB. And, he's not a rookie (though depending on NFL rules, he might be, how many games must one play to not be considered a rookie from past years?). Sorry. And, of course, the Bears are gonna make the play offs. They're a great team. Top 5 for sure.

"MVP Baseball '05(XBOX) - BEST GAME EVER" It's my second favorite game after NWN. It *might* eventually become #1!!!
-
This is the NFL. You only need 1 poor game in the play offs to go home. There are no second chances like in other sports. He could through 8 combined TDs in the first two games (Bears will likely get a bye), and then screw up the SB and the first two games would be wasted. Remember, the defense managed to win the game last night; but it was agaianst Arizona. They won't be playing crappy teams in the play offs so they won't be able to rely even on their vaunted defense as much as they did. And, it wasn't really the turnovers that bother me. That happens. It was how he was playing. He nevereven though of adjusting how he was playing. Not once. It's like he completely gave up and was just throwing the ball for the ehck of it.
-
I like Grossman; but I think someone who plays a game like he did last night does not deserve to win a SB ring the same year.

Damn it. And, I picked the middle of the week. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!1 -
Chicago won't win the SB. This game proved it. Grossman will most certainly have a meltdown come the playoffs at least once, and since you play some of the actual best teams then, even the vaunted Bears defense won't be able to cover for 6 turnovers like that. Neither team deserved to win today.

"In NWN, levels were like candy. You can become on the verge of Godlike after a couple weeks of adventuring (In game time)." Outside of the BGs, and the gold box games very few games handled levelling pace better than the OC.
