"However, non-believers are not allowed the right even to publicly express their beliefs without a huge outcry which usually ends up with something to the effect of, "why don't they just keep their damned opinions to themselves!" " The problem here is the real hypocrisy is the athiests are proselytizing that they hate being proselytized to. L0L

"it seems likely that as long as Reid is there Donovan will be." Is this the same Reid who benched him earlier this season because he and the stupid Philly fans thought McNabb sucked? L0LZ McNabb should try to leave as soon as possible. Eagles fans don't deserve a player of his calibre. They never have.

"Sherine visited a website advertised on a bus that told her she was going to burn in hell for eternity. "Blimey, that's a bit harsh, what should I do about this? Oh bugger it, there probably isn't a god anyway, so I'm going to stop worrying and just enjoy life."*" Hilarious. But, God doesn't exist, so it shoudln't bother her. Liek i said before, would you make a couynter adcertsiing campaign if someone made a message of 'You are bad so Santa won't brinbg you Christmas gifts?'. Come on, now. It's foolish to get all up in arms over a fictional charcter that you don't belive in might send you to hell which is a palce you don't believe in after you are dead." L0L

Bigotry? Wow. It's time to let the past be the past. P.S. I mean that's the large problem that Palestine and Isreal have. Thankfully, Japan seems to be bigger than that. I mean, they have as much a reason to hold a grudge than others do considering they were actually nuked. -
Meh. Warner was already a shoo in for the HOF, anyways. SB ring, 2 MVP awards, almost always puts up big numbers, etc., etc. And, consideirng how horribly the teams he's played for have treated him, his never say die attitude is even more awesome. Anyways, i went a perfect 2-0 this round to even my record up at 5-5. However, the Super Bowl tiebreaker while fitting is gonna be tough to call. Either team can. What to do, what to do. I'm going to get with the non upset upset pick as everyone is basically expecting a repeat of the Giants' super bowl victory. PIT over ARI with the final score 27-21. Big Big wins superbowl #2 but King Kurt performs admirably. Yet, i would not be surprised if Arizona wins so toss up. *shrug*

Without faith (and, I don't just mean the religious kind as there is all types of faith); you are a very sad human indeed.

"So it's ok to bend the will of a country to fit your personal moral standard but it's not ok for said country to bend itself to another s moral standard because they are heathens?" Never said that. I expect everyone - religious, athiests, whatever - to do what they can to have their 'way' in politics. That's why we get to vote in democratic countries. So, we have our opinion matter, and cna help change your country's polices. Everyone votes based on their morals, ethics, and what they feel is proper. Them being religious or not is irrelevant so to bash religious folks for doing so is silly. Perhaps even more silly than believing in a God that doesn't exist.

You are forgeting that it does cost money to keep the servers open plus everything else so it's not $10mil profit.

"IMHO Tend to your practitioners, leave the governing to the people." The problem with that from a religous person's views is that the law often legislates morality so something the religion allows may be actually illegal which leads to potential prison time doing something the law finds punishable. So, of course, religious people are gonna voice their opinion and influence politics - just as any other group would with laws that effect them. *shrug* btw, It's one thing to 'test' one's faith.. it's another to be stuck with a no win decision.

"That absolutely boggles the mind, that people who simply do not believe in heavenly dieties are reviled, treated with contempt, and denied even the right to verbalize their belief/nonbelief without being demonized, ostracized and publicly attacked. Freedom of speech? Not when it comes to this topic." You mean the same way religious folks are often demonized, and publicly attack? WOW! To me, this is akin for someone who doens't believe in the tooth fairy to run a full page ad about it. It's ridiculous, and the only thing its gonna accomplish is to attack otehrs. A Christian telling a non believer he's gonna to hell should be akin toe you telling me that santa claus isn't bringing me a gift because I've been a bad boy. It's irrelevant because I don't believe in Santa anyways so why would I care if the non existent one isn't giving me a gift? Why are athiests so offended when Christians tell them they're going to hell when they don't even believe it exists? It's ridiculous. But, don't worry athiests, I - Volourn - will be in Hell with you so you got good company.

"In such a situation, how can you say that Hamas are attacking civilians unprovoked?" Are the civilians attacking them? No, so yeah, it's unprovoked. And, the key her,e is their purpsoefull targetting civilians. By, your logic, Isreal has the right to attack civilians too as they aren't doing so unprovoked but as a response to PALESTINIAN rocket attacks. "As for the Hamas murdering Palestinians, could you provide me with the relevant link?" The fact that you deny this is laughable. I guess it's easy to ignore things that makes your favored group look bad. "Israel has resorted to collective punishment. A tactic that -
"The ads were a response to a religious ad campaign that basically said that if you didn't believe in god you were going to burn in hell for eternity." But, if God doesn't exist then why worry about it? Afterall, no God no hell, right? So, athiests are offended by soemthing that doesn't exist? That would be like someone being offending if someone says the boogeyman will kill them in their sleep... Athiests take a lot of offense over soemthing they don't believe in. L0L

How is that a 'no' instea dof simply 'it varies on which sect you ask'. Which isn't the same as no. Not that it matters to me as my opinion on 'God' isn't nice, anyways.

"Btw, I'm not here to make Israel look bad." L0L; But, either way you are failing at it. Considering you pretty much anything wrong Hamas does - then again, according to you - Hamas doesn't do anything wrong. And, if they do its Isreal's fault and it don't matter because they're democratically elected. It's Isreal's fault that Hamas does the following... Rocket attacks on Isreali civilians Hamas murdering Palestinians Hamas ignoring their neighbours' borders by digging holes into the ground illegally Hamas not working with the other major Palestinian party even though they should be since that is what democracy is supposed to be about Hamas kidnapping then throwing the (adult) son of a Fatah leader off a building to his death (Fatah is no innocent here either as they did the same thing) HAMAS MURDERING PALESTINIANS HAMAS MURDERING PALESTINIANS HAMAS MURDERING PALESTINIANS But, no world outcry about that. R00fles! -
"Jesus and Mary instead of on your God?" Um.. Jesus is God, and Mary from I've seen is not held up as high as Jesus. She's the Mother of God in a sense so of course she's held in high esteem. Remember God is Jesus (Son), The Father, and the Holy Spirit all in one.

Playing NHL 09 - only game worth playing despite some annoying problems with the game. My league has started Season 6. Good times!

"P.S. We luvs you warm & fuzzy Canukians Volo..." Sadly, many of my fellow 'Canukians' are hateful scumbags who are as likely to cheer when something bad happens to Amerika than not. Yet, we have a reputation for being 'nice'. L0L P.S. The above is NOT a description for ALL Kanadians. -
"Folks with strong religious beliefs often vote and consequently legislate according to their beliefs." Um.. this is true for anyone. Religion is irrlevant as last i checked everyone (barring those who 'sell' their votes) vote based on their beliefs. As well they should. "The advertisement wasn't purchased out of hatred or malice" Sure it was. The guy who purchased it pretty much admitted it when he basically mocked anyone who believes differently than him. And, the reason for ourchase was not to make people aware but was to counter another message so in essence he just did it one up somebody else in an insulting way. *shrug*

"Tell me, how is an advert with the message 'there is no god', different from one that says 'there is one'. Religions across the board are allowed to make all sorts of wild claims regarding the nature of the universe, but when atheists do it it's somehow insensitive. I don't get it." Because this athiest one wa sintended to do nothing but incite and anger. ie. It's the equivelant of real life trolling. It was done out of hatred, and malice along with some spite and vengeful because of the religious messages. The only thing they're trying to accomplish here is drive a wedge of hatred. Which is funny because athiests like to claim the moral high ground all the time. Absolutely pathetic. btw, I'm not religious. I used to be; but not anymore. But, there's no need for such hateful actions.
-
The bus driver stood up for what he believed in so good on him. I think the bus company handled it well as they told him he wouldn't have to drive buses with that slogan. As for the troublemaking punks who paid for the advertisement, it's obvious just a way to anger people and start trouble. That's all it is - spitefulness 'revenge'. Only a hateful person would go out of their way to purposefully antagonize others in such a public manner.

"America did after 9/11 and declare war on anyone who remotely dislikes us" Oh, come on. Stop with the hyperbole. If this is true, there would have been a lot more wars declared. Heck, there's Cuba just south of the US who more than remotely dislikes the US yet guess what? NO WAR. This is the kinda of silliness that makes the anti US side (and that includes some Amerikans) look like they're just hating on the country simply because its a superpower. It's the same reason people supported keeping Hussein in power with hey, at least its an Iraqi killing Iraqis. It's the same way the US gets blamed when AQ blows up Muslims. It's the US' fault. L0L -
ME is not a shooter. It's an Action RPG that has shooter elements just as BG is an RPG with rts elements. But, I guess BG is an action game because the action is all the hack and slash combat. L0L

The vast majority of games don't get television marketing which is probably the most expensive type. Even many supposed AAA titles don't get that, and even when they do like JE or ME for BIO; it's very limited. Still, no doubt, that games are getting pushed into more epxensive types of advertisement compared to before so times are a changing.
-
"You know that 80-90% of ME Xbox sales was before Bio was bought up right?" Doesn't matter. BIO's profit is EA's profit. The moment EA purchased BIO they got all monies, properties, and everything else including the company toilet paper. "Apparently not always." Nowhere in your link does it state that the game in question didn't break even or make a profit. Just that it didn't meet (the very likely super high) expectations. TWO hugely different things. A series like Tomb Raider is likely expected to sell more is all. P.S. Marketing at 1 mil is probably higher than most games get for sure. And, $25mil is probably at the high end of devlopmental costs too. I have a hard time believing that game would cost $100mil to make so if that's what GTA4 cost to make, WOW! I'll have to play it just to see what a $100mil game looks and plays like. L0L

"KOTOR was content free? KOTOR had more content than any game I've played." ME had more cotnent in its pinky finger than KOTOR had in its entirety. And, it was of better quality. "Mass Effect is a shooter." No, it's an Action RPG. Just as advertised. "Your stats effect the accuracy and strength of your shots. However, you can aim while paused so you need little to no 'shooter skill' to play it." If you don't need 'shooter' skill to play it obviously it means it wasn't designed to be a shooter. It was designed as Action RPG hence why stats effect your combat. It has shooter ELEMENTS - just like BG has rts ELEMENTS; but isn't an rts. Guys, just because a game has guns and is real time does NOT make it a shooter. ME is an Action RPG. P.S.Mkrkeu, no matter how you try to twist it, you attack in ME just like in any game I have ever played NO MATTER THE GENRE - you point, and click. Heck, TOEE which is 100% turn based... you have to point and click for every single attack. Guess that makes it a shooter. L0L
