"how much impact they truly have on the storyline." Considering your origin can determine if you can become royalty, yeah, it does impact the storyline. "In DA, the PC visits the elves in their forests, solves their issues, the dwarves in their "halls of stone", solves theirs as well, the mages in their tower (need I say what he does there?) and the knights in their medieval castle (again, rectifying everyone's general incompetence). After that he goes all out in a final battle against the orcs and kills a *gasp* dragon. To DA's credit its not as bad as it sounds, there are a lot of fine twists in it." You described every RPG ever created INCLUDING BG2. Go to various places, help random people, and advance the main plot.

"Your lack of Leliana love is disturbing. " What's to love? She's one of the weakest npcs in the game. That said, his lack of love for certain other npcs is disturbing... Hurlshot: He's the kinda guy you'd find on the Codex - bashes BIO to high heaven but will play the game and enjoy it in secret. He'll repeatedly bash them and when you call him on it he says they're good games andn that he like sthem but the he continues to bash them. Because no npc will ever top Boo. L0LZ

"So, what is, according to you, the point of picking an Infiltrator over another class?" Nothing. Class is irrelevant in ME2. It all comes down to the same thing - play hide n seek with the enemy and shoot them to death with your gun. *shrug* "He's getting rid of Shepard to weaken Anderson's position on the council and eventually return to power himelf. With Shepard gone Anderson loses a powerful and influential ally." Yeah, I guess that's a possibility but Udina doesn't seem that cold blooded. Even when he was berating Sheaprd in ME1, it never came across as 'do as I want or I'll find a way to kill you'. Plus, don't forget, Udina might be on the Council... -

If Infiltrator was all about the sniping ability and cloaking, you would need to sue them all the time. I never used usec loak, and when I ran out of shutgun bullets, I just switch weapons no worries whatsoever. "I wondered about who, if anyone, hired Wilson as well. My money's on Udina." Udina is many things but a cold blooded murderer isn't one of them. Plus, I don't think he'd want to kill Shepard even out of anger over not being picked for the council. -
NWN, ME2, and NHL 10 (my league is mid way through s10).

"Ammunition for the Mantis is 10. 12 for the Widow. Some encounters throw far more enemies than that at the player, so you have to maximize damage per shot AND move around to get more ammo, which is risky." Huh? Just change weapons.*shrug* No need to stiuck with one gun. Cloak is the very defintion of unneeded crap. And, flaming me like a crybaby doesn't change the fact that cloak is a useless talent that only wussies use. "The whole point of an Infiltrator is to use the sniper rifle." Nah. It isn't. -
Nah. I disagree. Even bad voice acting can be entertaining in its own way. Plus, I've never heard voice acting so bad it would make me turn it off or get out of the game. *shrug* However, after playing ME1, and going back to no PC voice over in DA was really jarring and hurt the experience.

"the extra damage from cloak is pretty much a necessity..." Huh? Please define 'pretty much a necessity' to me as I played the entire game without using it once. Doesn't sound like 'pretty much a necessity' to me unless the defintion has changed since the last time I checked. *shrug* -
"The way one is shoehorned into saving some backwater country is annoying. It's perhaps understandable for a Human noble or even a CIty Elf, but for a Dalish or Dwarf?" Eh. Do you think the darkspawn would just target humans. Wrong. Though, in regards to dwarves, they're being attacked anyways so I don't know why they'd be so concerned with helping the people who turned their backs on them and lets the dwarves deal with the darkspawn mess most of the time. As a dwarf, you should be able to say bugger off. "The world is neither as fresh" Riiiigggghhhhhhttt... BG2 was 'frsh'. A seuql, and a the 1 millionth game based on a well know IP. 'Fresh' indeed. DA is a superior game to BG2 because it has overall better writing (barring Irenicus being awesome), the origuins, more challenging combat, more combat options so you don't have to mass zerg in melee), C&C, characetrs with actual depth, and is more fresh.

"That was a thunderous hit that Ovechkin dropped Jagr with the other night. But good on him, he got right back up. Even though Russia scored on the play." Great hit for sure. of course, I like how the announcers tried to blame Jagr for the surrendered goal. That was poor defense by the defensemen not some turnover in the middle of the ice where they had plenty of time to play D.

"Geez, I just looked up a bio on Drury. He has a Hobey Baker award, rookie of the year award, a Stanley Cup, a silver medal at the Olympics, and he even won a little league World Series! What a loser!" Did you check out what he's done with the Rangers? I don't give a crap what he does for other teams. Completely, and utterly meaningless. 'Nough said. 20-30 goals? the guy has 10 goals in about 60 games this season. He's -11. 1 game winning goal. He's a joke. Plain, and simple. And, his SC. Did you see the players on that SC winning team? L0LZ The fact people try to give him credit for it is laughable. WS? That's baseball which is totally irrelevantin hockey. If you want? You can have him. Dumbest Ranger signing ever.
-
Leaders earn their money. Drury only made the Olympic team for 2 reasons a) past reputtation WITH other teams b) lack of depth for Olympic level Amerikan hockey players. Drury is a joke, and the Rangers would be better off without him. He's past his prime (and has been for years). The guy is simply a loser.

Redden > Drury Better player getting paid less. Yup, redden is the betetr deal. P.S. I wouldn't pay Redden 6.5mil either but it sure beats 7.5mil (or whatever Drury's exact deal is). Drury is a joke. He should be thrown in the trash like Gomez was.

"A lot of things in Dragon Age reek of NWN 2, actually. From general plot to influence, and having the middle game nemesis actually join you. Didn't the main scenarist for NWN 2 went to Bioware and worked on Dragon Age?" Doubt it made that huge of difference or had any real impact as DA was already well into development by the time he came on board and/or NWN2 was released. I'm espicially sure the story was pretty much set as well by then.

"Bioware has a few things to learn about designing spaceships meant for warfare." Normandy isn't supposed to be a typical warship. And, Normandy 2 even less so. So to expect it to be a typical spceship meant for warfare is silly. Oh, btw, how many real life examples of SPACEships meant for warfare are there? L0L -
"I know but you don't even get a decent "FY woman" response, it was a prime moment for a Renegade quicktime event - say choking her or something. " Oh, I agree. BIO should add 'interrupts' to all their games. Heck, there's plenty of times in all their old agmes they should go back and add them in. L0L Just give me an interrupt to cast silence on Minsc next time he goes on about his rodent or an interrupt to choke out Maurgrim in NWN OC or, well.. you gett eh picture. Heh.
-
Yes. Redden is underrated. He also isn't being paid 7mil+.

I loathed TW, but I might have to buy TW2 just for Triss! LMAO Hubba hubba!

"First Zevran betrays me (well he was going to run himself right into a fireball anyway), then there's the completely ludicrous scene with queen Anora (sets me up to be killed and then asks for my support?????)." Not really ludicrous. Anora, while I agree is a bitch, makes some sense if you pay attention to where she's coming from.

As a Kanadian, I'm disspaointed we lost. Even more dissapointing as a Kanadian, is the very poor attitude of my fellow Kanandians over this. Man, I do not understand how we ever got the reputation of being the 'bnicest people in the world'. That's baloney. Only someone who doesn't live in Kanada would think that. L0LM We are nasty, arrogant, jealous, small minded, and ignorant. Tsk, tsk. "A lot of people were questioning whether Drury deserves to be on the team, but that's a big goal and I've always said he scores when it is most important." As a Ranger fan, I say no. Chris Drury is a joke and scoring one silly goal doesn't change that. Probably one of the worst Ranger free agent signings ever.

"What's better, directly targeting or shrugging it off as "Collateral"? " Easy question. 'Shrugging it off as collateral' is definitely better than purposefully targetting civilians. Of course, that doesn't make either right. Just like manslaughter and murder are both wrong; but murder is obviously (to the sane) worse. *shrug*
-
Plus, ALL of BIO's games are combat extensive including the BGs. Consideirng you murder upwards of 100 xvarts in one small area of one map in BG1 says it all.
-
You gave the reason why DA is awesoem comapred to BG. BG gives you throngs of wussy xfarts to slaughter without even trying where your mage can mass murder them with a dagger. DA challenges and makes you think or actually *do* something productive during a fight. The Deep Roads are awesome. Plain, and simple. People say it lacks avriety and is a grind but I disagree. But, shrug, to each their own. Deep Roads is what BG2's underdark or HOTU's udnermountain should have been like. Hell. No mercy. In fact, DR didn't go FAR enough. The fact you can leave any time inbetween areas weakens it.

" Get over it people. It's not like your ****ing Ghandi either. " In my defense, when it comes to commiting violence, I'm rather Ghandi like. *shrug* And, to me, it has nothing to do with the 'evils of Islam'; but the 'evils of man'. Your lame 'defense' of others do it to is rather childish. btw, The facts that an islamic group did this is a show of hypocrisy as no doubt if a non islamic group did this to Muslims/Arabs, they woudl rail against it too. Oh yeah, THAT has happened, LMAO People who treat the dead like this are disgustiung immoral pieces of crap. No matter the circumsatnces of their death, no matter the victims, no matter who did it. "It's not like anybody was using those bodies for anything important." My grandmother is long dead; but I guarantee you if someone thought of using her corpse in this manner, I'd have to think long and hard about my 'Gandhi approach' to living. *shrug*
