  1. "SECRET IRANIAN CONSPIRACY TO OVERTHROW ISRAEL" Since when was this a secret? I always thought Iran was quite upfront with this plan? hMMM..
  2. "SoZ has been villified for not being a michelin starred meal when all that was promised was a slice of straightforward D&D pie." I believed we were promised a fun D&D game akin to greats of the past like the Gb games yet what we got wa sonen of the worst D&D games ever. It's being villified ';cause it's simply a poorly made game that insults old school dungeon crawls 'causen it's, quite frankly, a poor one. As Grom said, the combat encounters were horrible. The dungeons were horrible. The npcs were horrible. The writing was horrible. The world map, which cool IN THEORY, was horrible. Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible. SOZ was so horribble it invented a new word for crap. SOZZY. SOZ = SOZZY SOZZY = crap
  3. " This is just the latest incident in a long list of actions that would have been declared and outrage if conducted by say Iran or another "Axis of Evil" country." Oh, please. There is a lot of cries of outrage here. btw, There's more likely to be somehting done here than with NK or Iran which most of the world seem to excuse them. *shrug* "which as far as I know was Palestinian/Arabic land originally" No, this is a myth. This was not Palestinian land originally. In fact, the Palestinians as a group are relatively new. Also, you want to talk about how Palestinians are treated poorly, just ask their fellow Arabs.
  4. "I'm sick and tired of having to tap dance around Israel because "Oh how we've suffered". If they're under imminent attack from six states, they should learn to deal with it on their own and try to place nice" Except, they havce. And, they won. That's the problem. It's why they control Palestine. It's because they won, but stopped pushing things because the rest of the world got butthurt and stepped in and stopped Isreal from outright annilhating their enemy. People whine about the US/UN not doing anything to stop Isreal orm protect Palestine, but let's be honest, if it wasn't for Isreal trying to play nice with others, they likely would have wiped out all resistancve not only in palestine but more than a few of their neighbours. btw, It's also hard to 'play nice' when your enemy's goal is to wipe you off the map. "I just don't see the relevance of mentioning the holocaust or Hamas in the same breath when discussing the boarding." Because, Hamas and even the Holocaust play a role in what is happening in the modern world. I do loike the Hamas apologists who feels there is nothing wrong with Hamas targetting kiddies (including Palestian kiddies) while making Isreal out of the devil. Not that I approve of Isreal's actions in this case because they mess up. Huge.
  5. SOZ is one of the SOZZIES games ever. It is, by far, Obsidians' worst game ever. Even Troika's worst game was better. Heck, even Bethesda's worst game is about equal to it. SOZ is SOZZY. let's put it that way. P.S. SOZ = Storm of Zheir, NWN2's 2nd and uglier cousin expansion to the ever awesome MOTB. DISGUSTING!
  6. Since when do you need to be on this committee to have a say on human's rights? That's ridiculous. Iran can still be involved in disussions without being on this committee. I'd argue that those countries sititng on the committee should be willing to lead by example which Iran, obviously, currently doesn't. Don't be an Iranian apologist.
  7. How is this a PR win for Iran? That's illogic.
  8. Hamas even targets fellow Palestinians. Oh, the humanitarians they are.
  9. "Which they were perfectly entitled to do." Why are the entitled to do this?
  10. Isreal; doinjg a scummy thing like this in no way hanges Hamas being a scummy organization nor does Hamas beings cummy make Isreal in the right here.
  11. "Women have a far more dynamic role in Iran than in many other countries." Sureee... Which countries are you comapring it to? One like Saudi Arabia? "I'm not saying its a great role, but if you want to move things forward you have to involve all sorts in the process." You coan be a aprt of the process of it without 'leading' it which from the sounds of it is what this position is supposedly deisgned for. This is an epic fail on the part of those countries who voted for Iran in this case. Don't you find to argue otherwise with a straight face that Iran deserves this position?
  12. Why dkid the Isreal soliders board the aid ship in the first place? Why did the civilians try to murder them? Why did they go to live ammunition instead of less lethal means? Why didn't the soliders just leave before it went haywire? This entire scenario seems to have been hanlded wrong. If the story is true, and as simple as t is told in the artcile, Isreal deserves to face punishment.
  13. "I actually thought the sex scene with paragon MaleShep and Jack was mature, yet very tastefully done. The one with Miranda... well... back to someone's puerile male fantasy." Riiighhht. Like the sex scene with miranda would never happen in real life. L0LZ
  14. "It's just another excuse for the US to start a war..." That don't make sense. the UN isn't the US. I agree with it being near useless but it is no US mouthpiece. In fact, oftentimes, it seems to me, the UN is sued byc ertain countries to push an anti US/Isreal agenda than actually accomplsihing thing. Like you said, some of the apointments to certain positions are head scratching at best.
  15. "From his POV though, he has to work for a living. Would you really compromise your work just to show that you have 'guts' ?" Then, he should have just shut his mouth (or not post as it was in this case). Simple, huh? I absolutely would 'compromise my work' if I gfelt I had to something to say. if you can't stand by what you beleive then don't say it. "You do realize that the vast majority of ANY posted information on webforums is anonymous and full of **** right?" You are talking about random posters like us? the difference is that none of us are claiming to have 'inside knowledge' or first hand experience with the goings on. We're just giving our opinions. Not the same thing. btw, I have no problem givuing my real name. Heck, i've given out my phone number and address before. Still, HUGE difference between random nobody posting crap and someone posting crap who claims to know 'stuff' - espicially a personal attack like this. Own up to it. Be a man (or a woman) and don't be a coward. btw, It doesn't even matter if what is posted is true.the person is a piece of crap coward.
  16. "heck, we cannot think o' an obsidian release that were as buggy as any troika release... or bioware's nwn. " I can. NWN2 for one. It wasn't super buggy; but it surely wasn't bug free. NWN1 wasn't that buggy in the grand scheme of things. I didn't find ARC buggy either.
  17. Warden's Keep was pretty darn good.
  18. "His intelligence is 17." Irrelevant.
  19. "Irenicus I don't know.. he seemed schizophrenic as far as his portrayal goes. He should be emotionless and yet he's driven by revenge and jealousy, and basically goes on to try to complete his plan again.. after failing the first time you'd think he learned the lesson, but no!" This is why I like Irenicus. He's a complicated mess, and it's largely his own fault. Like a true villain he blames everybody else for his problems when he's actually at fault. He's not meant to be really emotionless - at least not during the game. He is driven by rage and jealousy. That's the point.
  20. "at least on PC." Ahh.. That explains everything. I'm so glad I'm mainly sticking to the 360 for games now and use my PC mainly for spamming on the internetz depsite it being powerful enough to play modern games. Just less bugs to deal with overall.
  21. I don't take anonymous psotings seriously. The guy has no guts, and is therefore a pathetic piece of crap.
  22. "Irenicus is driven purely by petty vengeance for something that is his own stupid fault. He's... pathetic." He's anything but pathetic. Yeah, his current state is his fault; but he's still awesome. "Sarevok & Melissan were both crafty, and their plans failed only by a hair. I like 'em much better." Sarevok wasn't crafty at all. He was cool, and strong though.. I have little doubt any 'craftiness' found in his plans were due to the brain surrounding him like step father. Melissan, on the other hand, is BIo's 2nd worst villain of all time. She is the veryd efintion of pathetic, boring, and just plain crap.
  23. "but am not feeling like playing a game wherein our rogue pc cannot detect/disarm traps, a joinable npc may not join, and at least 1 potential game-breaker bug... " None of these bugs happened.
  24. Common belief but not commonn knowledge since there was no real 'proof'.
  25. "Nothing really meaningful was influenced by your decisions. Regardless of choice, the plot ended the same. Minor things like the Council and all that also proved to be, well minor, since really. It's like they weren't even around in the second game regardless if you chose to one option over the other. Stuff like that yeah. " This simply isn't true unless you are changing the definition of 'meaningful'. Lots of meaningful choices occured.
