This fanboy hates on dwarves quite a bit. Just read my post in the movie thread for proof.

" You mean the way our own Christian religion spawned the crusades, the Spanish fascists, and the IRA?" Is that the best you got? Accuse another religion of bad behaviour? Everyone knows about he crusades. It's over. Muslims bombing little school kiddies is current. Why do you justify that? "Every single time you blame Islam for Al Qaeda you do a disservice to millions of peaceful Muslims" Waaaaaaaaaa.. Talk about hypocrisy. Yet, you have no issue bashing Christians for the sins of the past. LMAO the problem with more peaceful Muslims is they are weak in the face of the more violent ones. They always go... 'What they did was wrong but..." there is no but. It was wrong. PERIOD.

garbage list. Way too many within the last yearish picks.Torchlight 2? I ehard good things about it but come on. The new Shadowrun game which is like 15 minutes long? Come on. PST #1? Yeah, great story and characters but it is one dimensional game that takes a good combat engine and makes the combat which there is a lot of worse. Deserves to be on the list but not #1 come on? Any ES game on it? That proves to me the writer is on crack. Come on. As for Gothich, G2+3 are alright but top 15.. I don't know.. then again, they are better picks than about 5 that made it. I'm gonna make my own TRUE top 15 rpgs now so everyone can now mock me and my chocies just to be fair.

The books are overrated. They are average at best. I'm glad movies don't copy books to the letter. That's boring. if I want the original, I'd read it. I'd rather watch a hot redhead female elf than not watch a hot redhead elf female. Just sayin'. Do you really want to spend 2+ hours watching a bunch of ugly short people and one ugly old man? Not me.
-
Yeah, because BIO ceated the idea of elven redheads. LMAO

Runner, Runner: Good drama thriller. Didn't care for the lead much and the 'twist' was lame and predictable yet silly. It's pretty said when the villain is more cheerable than the so clled 'heroes'. But, I was entertained - mainly because of Affleck and his babe. 7/10

Exactly. Fighting is garbage and contrary to what certain people think it is not a draw. The Lemieuxs, Grtezkys, and the like are the draws. Fighting can be 'entetraining' but the number of people who actually pay to see that and only that is likely extremely miniscue. The other sports do just fine popurlaity wise withjout it. IMAGINE THAT. I love hockey INSPITE of fighting not BECAUSE of it. It is not cool, it is not hockey, and no, fighting during a sport is not manly. Fighting for a good cause is. If you want to fight orwatch fights go watch the fight oriented sports like boxing, MMA, etc.

Things every self-respecting man over 30 should have...

"Point was that I was a little disappointed that the average US citizen apparently didn't "get out" more. It's super important to see the rest of the world and not just your local country/culture.. Even if USA is pretty big - you guys are important, you should be well traveled. I would be disappointed at a European never leaving Europe too.: You must have lots of money. Most people - not just Amerikans - simply can't afford in both money AND time - to simply leave their country for ****s and giggles. Hell, I probably personally could afford to go vacation in a different country but I don't trust other country's laws. It's bad enough having to worry about my country's own stupid alws let alone some lame azz country in Euope's stupid laws or US's stupid laws or Asia's stupid laws, etc. -
"Ok, so Kickstarters are only contractually obligated to fulfill pledge rewards, if the reward states "a copy of the game when it is released" but its never released, would that wording be enough to get them out of having to provide refunds?" Such legal trickery 'loopholes' would likely be laughed out of court by any decent judge. Many companies put a lot of nonsense in their contracts that people take for granted and assume because it is written that the law/court will okay it 100%. Courts overrule/change contracts all the time, and some if done in poor taste to one side's disadvantage can and will be tossed aside. the problem, of course, most of these lopsided contracts are never actually cvhallenged in court because the weaker side doesn't have the money to push against it (if they did they'd likely never had been hoodwinked in the first place). This isn't the 1500s where the big boys always win but the little boyus have to choose to fight to have a shot at winning.

"Are you sure about them being liable? I thought one of the legal caveats when you pledge is that a product isn't guaranteed. I don't know the whole legal bull around it." Of course, they're liable. They offering a product and/or service in return for money. They state you pledge x amount of money (in my case it was $250) and you get y in return. It's like business transanction. If I was told I'd pledge $250 and get nothing I'd never have pledge. That is also true with the vast majority who donated. Otherwise it is fraud. It is not a charity but even a charity has uphold their promises whatever they may be. " Yes they are liable for restitution of what you paid (if you can track the entity down and it has assets)." Which is why I'd never fund a KS that be impossible to do. Of course, Obsidian is a legit business who can easily be tracked down, so they can't really hide. L0L They ain't some two bit loser crew so I doubt it would ever get that far. " I imagine you'd be hard pressed to prove them liable for anything beyond that though " It would depend why they didn't uphold the deal.If it out and out fraud, they'd definitely be punished like all frauds who get caught do. Huge punishments including potential jail time since fraud is a criminal offence. In most cases, they'd have to refund at minimum. KS 'rules' do not ever trump the law. "I'm curious how it works if there's a good faith attempt to deliver a product, and it fails and the company goes bankrupt." Well.. you can't get money from someone who has no money. This is true no matter what. If I owe you money, you sue me, and you win the court case, but I have no money.. well, grats on your victory but still no money for you. Plus, official legal bankruptcy comes with protection and a cost to the one declaring it. Thankfully, none of us here, need to likely worry about this stuff with obsidian. *fingers crossed that I didn't just jinx it now heh*

If Obsidian kickstarts a space opera RPG, would you back it?

Illogical or not, it is one of the best film trilogies ever. No arguments from you, butthead! -
"They're not AFAIK liable for damages. As I understand it by contract, they either have to give you what is promised in your tier or refund your money. (That doesn't mean one couldn't sue, but damages aren't inherent in the Kickstarter contract)." Trust me. They are obligated to live up to what they offered. You can't take x from someone while promising y in return and not be expected to be legally liable for it. Refund would be a reasonable way to deal with it legally. But, no way, can they legally take your money and run. That's left and the courts would cruficy them if it ever got ebfore a judge. That's why the only KS I've backed is Obsidian because a) I have reasonable believe they will deliver or b) if they don't, I know where the company is so it wouldn't be hard to serve them notice of intent to sue (it won't get that far). "What isn't promised is that the product will be made (they could just refund all the money), the product will be made in a timely fashion (I think some early kickstarter "successes" still aren't finished) or that it'll be good." All true.
-
"Kickstarter is like investment with no ownership or promise of return." Except, supports are promised a return. Obsidian promised me certain things in return for my $250. if they don't follow through they broke the contract and are liable for damages. I, of co course expect them to succeed or I wouldn't have bothered to buy it.

Seattle is really good but they are far from unbeatable.

"Ugh, the Cowboys are terrible. On the bright side, everybody else in the NFC East is terrible too. Someone is going to win this crappy division by default." Yet, they'll have a shot at making the SB. "Kaepernick is a very different quarterback. It is a high risk high reward situation with him in comparison to Smith. Do the 49ers make it to the Superbowl last year with Smith instead of Kaep? It's hard to say, but I doubt Alex Smith sets the NFL playoff record for QB rushing yards with Smith." They made it the eyar ebfore with him so I don't see why they wouldn't have last season. They'd likely have beaten Baltimore. "Harbaugh absolutely made the right call in making the switch to Kaepernick." No. 4-0 vs 2-2 with a vastly inferior team.
-
"I'm playing the Imperial Agent storyline in TOR and I think it's better than DA II and ME 3." Doubtful. TOR MMO is a garbage game and while DA2 has flaws it is still an above average game by far and while ME3 is meh it is easily better than some stupid SW game.
-
No. Harbough was garbage until Smith gained enough NFL experience and LEarned how to play at a professional level then Harbough promptly threw him in the trash for a new toy now he'll need to wait 3 years before Kaperkrak figures things out then when he finally does Harbough will throw HIM in the trash for another new toy. R00fles!
-
Nonsense. He's constantly slammed as sucky, horrible, useless, and garabge. he was benched for an overrated QB who is merely .500 this season with the same team Smith had while Alex has taken KC to a 4-0 record despite having an overrated (but average) past his prime coach after they went a measily 2-14 last year. Alex Smith is a very good QB. Way better than Kappercrap.
-
WOW is not the word I'd use.... L0L As for KC, I'm not too surprised. Alex Smith is a underrated QB (despite his mixed game today in the win).
-
Of course, devs love KS, they get the money and have all the power... Power to screw things up and then mock the backers and spit in their face. LMAO "Most people, when you back games, it's not really about the physical goods. It's about backing the game. They're actually quite happy to be backing this game they've missed for awhile, and the money's less of an issue" Flat out delusional lie. Why doesn't back this up by doing a KS that promises NOTHING in return. Let's see how much money they rake in when the backers aren't promised anything tangible in return. I know, for sure, that Obsidian surely wouldn't have seen my $250 if I wasn't getting stuff in return. LMAO

" Drive was a damn great movie, " No, not it wasn't. It was watchable. Mulligan and the main bad guy were good. But, Golsing wa sboring while trying his quiet tough guy routine.
