Eh... What's wrong with the Re-mastered ones? Better sound? Video? How terrible! And they edited a scene slightly!? OMFG <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't like the SE VHS, but the new DVDs look great. Sure it's a little differnt then it was, but you will get used to it over time. I'm sure the younger generations like it better. I do think GL went a little to far adding some scenes, but they are still quite good and DVD widescreen just looks so much better qaulity wise.

The Mandalorian Wars - the right decision?
JediExile replied to Hive's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I thought at first the council might have been right, but by the end of the game I realized the council wasn't as wise as they thought they were. I get that same feeling from watching EP1 and EP2 and here I always thought the Jedi knew everything. -
Like yelling "Carrie!" (instead of "Leia!") in the celebration scene at the end of the movie... Wonder how that one got through Lucas's QA " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whatever it takes I guess.

Wow great post here. I actually like the DVD versions better then I like the special edtions. Of course adding Hayden in to the end of ROTJ is somewhat amusing since his expression doesn't look right. Star Wars a new Hope will always be my favorite even though I was born the year it came out. Mark Hamil had his best apearance by far in that movie and he had something going on with Carry/Harrison that was special.

There is no doubt that Han shot first. Greedo didn't even realize Han had taken is gun out and was going to take him back to Jaba alive. At any rate the Jaba they added into star wars a new hope doesn't even look like Jaba. Hes way to small.

I like KOTOR/KOTOR2 better then GLs EP1/EP2 movies so far so I doubt he will solve any problems here.

I maxed out game gamma in the control pannel and it's still to dark. I have the game for xbox and looked at the opening screen. I can see the whole body of the sith lord. In the PC I can only see his face unless I adjust the brightness slider in game. My monitor is maxed out in brightness. Anyway to make it any brighter?
-
Ah thanks for the tip. It doesn't work as well as the in game gamma, but at least I can see things good enough to play without having to switch after every cut scene.

Dantooine... framerate chug chug... semi fixed...
JediExile replied to gotzmadskillz's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Add this Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 under graphic options in the SWKOTOR2 folder SWKOTOR2 configuration settings. Don't ask how I know because I found it in another thread. It works though. -
Thanks for the help. I just ordered the MSI NX6600GT-VTD128. It was a little more money then 150, but hopefully it will be more compatible with games driver wise. Anyway does anyone know how to fix the gamma problem with ATI drivers where it resests to dark after cut scenes or leaving the game? Thanks

Thanks for the links.

I've already beaten the game, so I'm aware of what I'm gaining and losing. From a combat standpoint, the game is so easy that one couldn't make it challenging if one tried (which is completely fine with me - I'm playing for the story/dialogue), so having a very low Con, Str and Dex is fine in that respect. It's not gimped, because gimping a character is virtually impossible. Having a Con which prohibits useful Implant use is unfortunate, but for this playthrough, I'm putting a different spin on my character from what I did with my last consular, by having high Int to make necessary Int checks, instead of just high Wis with middling physical stats. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True enough. The game is pretty easy even when set to hard.
-
You can do what you like but going over 14 ends up wasting a lot of points I think. -1 consitution thats gotta hurt. No implants and you must have a really low hp.

Well thanks for the advice. I guess I will have to spend some money again. I payed around 300 for the radeon 9700 pro when it was pretty new. I guess I will have to spend some big bucks again.

Twice through and I still don't get it.
JediExile replied to SWfanfromwayback's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If Kreia is the end then it's a poor one. IMO you need a nice little video at the end at the very least. The dialogue was nice, but this isn't a book (though it's similiar) it cost about 5 times more then a book and should have something other then some dialogue about what happens to your compainions. -
I have a radeon 9700 pro and it's worked fine for the most part, but I've had it for around 3 years and am fed up with the bad driver support. I'm thinking about getting a geforce card and would appreciate any advice on what is a good card that would work with this game for about 100-150 dollars. Thanks

There was a patch for xbox KOTOR1 that added the PC content. I'm pretty sure the xbox users could download it via xboxlive if they had it.

Actually the goal was to find the remaining Jedi, but the story deffinatly feels lacking at times. I hate Telos in perticular as it is too small and you are constantly loading from one area to the next. I would probably go with Onderon as my favorite planet as well.

Revan in KOTOR III.
JediExile replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It wouldn't matter to me as long as Revan/Exile aren't the main character. As long as I get to choose the race/gender of the main character of the current story thats all that really matters. -

JediExile replied to SWfanfromwayback's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I agree with one thing at least. Despite the fact that it says counsler recommended for adanced players it is the easiest class to play through as. There are few mobs that will resist your force spam. I think Kreia is the only one that resisted at all. I do feel there were some blatent gaps in the end of the game. While I can use my imagination (and did) there were big wholes due to a rushed game. In the end I still felt excitment for what may come in the next game. -
Are you setting their AI to use force powers? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would never do that. If you set them up to Jedi Support all they do is spam force powers. That may be okay for a counsler, but there characters duel to guardians and sentinals.
-
I find that there is no need to save levels for anyone in this game. Mira/Bao I want to get their skills around 15-20 before I turn them into Jedi. I find they don't use their force powers anyway so the only reason to turn them to jedi is so they can use a lightsabre or get force deflection.

Brianna = Handmaiden After you turn her to a Jedi she eventually tells you her name.

how do i beat the hand maidens?
JediExile replied to Revan_2005's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sorry about that. I believe I just force waved them all to death. -

I beat her with no cloths and just my fists as a counsler. All I did was spam master flurry. This worked for all 3 fights for me.
