  1. Exile: Someone has to save our skins!
  2. I'm afraid that this offensive is unforgivable. Pistols at dawn, madam.
  3. I'm not disappointed that I couldn't understand him. I'm disappointed that I couldn't understand him, and yet, my character could. Cute with T3, very silly with the Big Bad.
  4. One... girl... at... this... site. ahahahaha.
  5. You can kill anything with two hits of your lightsaber, can't you?
  6. I saw your thread. I played through the game, I took over 40 hours, I followed all the dialogue trees possible, and there are still plenty of things that were unclear, not just the ending. There were also some things that were repeated multiple times, so it's not like I actually did miss a ton: it's just that some things were far too often hinted at and never actually explained. I'm not a fan of awkward exposition, but nor am I a fan of hints so vague that you have to make assumptions about what the hell just happened. I don't like the implication that outright telling your K1 character that you were Revan is "babying" - like it would've been a deeper game if you'd finished the whole game and never even figured it out? How would that work? But eh, whatever, I can go to far better places on the internet to have my intelligence insulted than computer game message boards.
  7. Oh good lord. "Clear storytelling" is "babying" now. Awesome.
  8. There's a TON of "definitely M" content in the both games that was left in just fine. Torture, pimping, slavery, and mass murder versus... some more torture, some more killing? It's probably more *depressing* than most of the stuff in-game because you're watching your party members suffer, but it's not more mature. Bioware did run out of time for the Carth-DSFRevan-ending - there would've been additional end movies to be made, I believe.
  9. You receive Force Crush at a certain point in the plot.
  10. The fire. It draws you even from a distance - crackling, burning - singing? Does it sing to you? Come closer and you will hear what it says... the promises it makes... yes, it will make everything better... Walk into the fire. It will cleanse you. It will end your pain.
  11. ****pit is censored. And what? What, what, what?
  12. You didn't dig playing "pazaak" with "Atton" in the "c0ckpit?" Man, the guys even got better sexual euphemisms in their romances. Anyway, at the end, Kreia says that Atton loooooooved you and Disciple loooooooooved you, and there was some cut-out stuff, both for DS and LS, where Atton, uh, proves his, uh, devotion.
  13. The language of death and pain is English... backwards? All those heavy metal bands had it right!
  14. The thing is... The Exile's story is just complete enough (you can learn most all your history, you can get to atrocious levels of power, you can fight the big bad) that it'd be lame to continue the story for a whole new game. And it's just unfinished enough (no closure with companions, not all of the story very well explained) that it's frustrating.
  15. Jade Empire looks like it'll be enjoyable for what it is -a consoley fighty game with a few minor RPG elements and maybe an interesting story. Feel free to argue about Dragon Age, though.
  16. It is a great game, it's just a) unpolished and b) completely lacks an ending. The story itself strongly, shall we say, echoes PST in many ways. I was less than thrilled about that, but eh, there are only so many ways to tell a story.
  17. Heh, there's stuff left in the game from Neverwinter Nights, even. If they didn't wipe that, I don't think they'd delete dialogues & such just 'cause.
  18. Wait, what the hell, your game came with an ENDING?
  19. Here's a mod to give you 100 influence with all party members. Create a folder named override in your K2 directory and add the mod to it. Note that this may screw up Disciple/Atton and Handmaiden/Visas fight cut-scenes, as some of those only occur when one of them has more influence than the other.
  20. It could certainly make it somewhat easier, yes, and gets rid of the cross-class skill feats: but to me, KOTOR class skills feel more like an artificial challenge than anything else. You're still limited to a certain number of skills based on your intelligence and class, Guardians don't get to become skill monkeys who can do everything. And it is, of course, entirely optional and a matter of personal preference. The mods aren't all about making the game insanely hard, just changing it so it's somewhat less... clunky.
  21. As I said in the readme, it's not so much about balance as it is about me feeling like the division between class and non-class skills is pretty much random. Freedom of choice is nice.
  22. I cared about the story a lot more than I cared about the combat - but guess which one is easier to fix.
  23. Hey, I appreciate all the compliments, but please test out the mods themselves - I'm doing so, but slowly. Crazy!Rebalance may just end up making consulars and guardians into even greater solo killing machines. I'll see what I can do about toughening up the bosses and weakening the PCs. I am *very* interested in adding back in the ending. I've started piecing it together and attempting to fill as many plot holes as I can. The difficulty is that: my programming skills are weak, my art skills are beyond pathetic, and no KOTOR-editing programs are fully compatible with KOTOR2 yet. I also don't want to totally destroy the vision of the developers for the ending, but without any reply from them about what exactly that vision was I'll cheerily make my own edits. If there are any 1337 programmers or artist/animators out there who are interested in helping with this, please PM me.
  24. So I was messing around with the .2das and decided to make a bunch of changes to make the game potentially more challenging. I have two zips up, filled with .2das just begging to be added to your override folder. "Rebalance" is just basic stuff - drops all classes except for the Guardian, Marauder, Weaponmaster, Combat Droid, and Tech Specialist down to 3/4 BAB, just like in KOTOR1. It also contains overrides to make all skills class skills, slow the regeneration rate, make all NPCs gain full XP along with you, give Tech Specialists an actual AC bonus, and give guardians and combat droids a couple more feats. The cleverly named "Crazy Rebalance" will change the classes a whole lot more - you hopefully won't be killing hordes of people in combat with your Jedi Consular quite so often any more. You can also choose to take more damage in Diffcult mode. Apologies for the atrocious grammar & descriptions & all, I'm tired. I probably shouldn't release incomplete and untested game stuff when I'm half-asleep, but hey, works for some people. I'm going to test it all now myself. Have fun. And feel free to make comments and bug reports in this thread rather than clogging up my email. Please read everything on the site before asking questions. I recommend starting a new game. Yeah, hey, link!
