Damnit, you all really are too talented. There needs to be some collective site for all this KOTOR2 fan art. I could put it up on one of my (usually ignored/unused) servers but...I tend to be lazy... :/
-
It's not that difficult to get HK fairly quickly if you really want to maximize using him. But I know what you mean. On the one hand the NPC progression-to-aquire is cool, on the other hand...it's not.

Mira to Atton: "Meditation envy?" HK to Goto: "Query: What is it you wish, fat one?"

When you play too much Kotor2
LadyCrimson replied to Nexinnel's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
When you keep trying to take screenshots of every scene/dialogue cool battle in the game. When your spouse starts to play the game on the PC next to yours in order to be in the same room with you once in a while. When you decide that sleep is unneccesary because the Force is with you. -
The rust that flakes off his dented parts makes me sneeze. Never any metal polish around when you need it.

I've come to the conclusion that Atton looks best with a black jedi robe and silver/white sabers. And the black head gear that looks a bit like wrap around shades. At certain angles he reminds me a bit of Keenu Reeves in Matrix3 that way. Only better.

Soon is soon enough for me. Time goes by too damn fast for me these days. ....middle of March already...sheesh. But anyway - I also would be eager to have an idea of patch content. Something to gnaw on during the process.
-
Btw, I'm on the PC - I have no console game systems at all...worked fine for me, as i said already.

The patch will never come out!
LadyCrimson replied to Burnzzz's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hasn't been that long since the PC came out has it? Let's just hope the wait means it's a really big patch. *crosses fingers* -
I got +1 to Treat Injury. If you have no hard points in the skill to begin with, I'm not sure if it shows up. Does sound buggy tho.

*frowns* I don't remember getting any DSP just for talking to Bao when I played Dark. I get him, run through all his meaningless dialogues till he says "never mind' all the time and nothing. Sure you aren't thinking of Disciple? I know he reacts like that. Bao is no different than any other NPC influence, except as mentioned, he has no conversation options. So if he hasn't been in your party, that's why you haven't succeeded in influencing him. Just put him in your party before you talk to someone then remove him again when done. He actually has quite a few spots for that - more than the ones mentioned.

Maximization problem with window
LadyCrimson replied to Landale's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm...intriguing. I haven't had any problems with the game at all, if my install is screwed, well..it's not behaving like it. No missing dialogues far as I can tell, no errors, no crashing, etc. Few minor occasional graphic glictches that's about it. When I change things in that ini file it does nothing that I notice. And I don't think I'm the only one. EDIT - but maybe I just don't notice. Wouldn't surprise me. I know that dialogue file wasn't there tho - cause there was a post about it earlier and I checked and while there was a dialoge file of some kind in my folder, it didn't have the .tlk extension. -
Maximization problem with window
LadyCrimson replied to Landale's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I re-iterate - that swkotor2.ini file does nothing on my system. Do you need some kwe file to get it work, or do something else? I mean, the default install doesn't even put the dialog file on the HD, and people tell you it's there - like they moved it there so they could use a program to mod dialog. But I'm unconvinced that a regular install of the game allows these things. -
Maximization problem with window
LadyCrimson replied to Landale's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Heh...I got that too when I 1st installed it...I'm not sure what I did to fix it - because I didn't consciously try and fix it - I think all I did was mess with in-game and desktop resolutions and refresh rates and at some point it went away. Like maybe it has a problem if the two aren't the similar enough. I also found the game to run better (for me) if I used my graphic card (turned off allowing the application to control settings) to determine anti-aliasing settings instead of using the in-game sliders. -
Dialog Skipping *SPOILER FOR EARLY GAME*
LadyCrimson replied to Landale's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Don't know for sure, but I think I read that this was a problem in the 1st Kotor, which was fixed with a patch - and that it seems in using the same engine (or design, or whatever) for Kotor2, the same thing has cropped up again because they maybe didn't implement that fix from the start. So mostly...wait for a patch. -
Where is the rest of the crew?
LadyCrimson replied to Omedarcus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
They're probably all in the bar drinking juma juice, the lazy good for nothings. -
That's such a shame. Even if you couldn't actually train them with forms etc. it would have been much more intriguing than the silly training kneel/voiceover/swingcamera around/repeat-instant Jedi bit you get now.
-
I haven't seen anyone mention this (maybe I missed it...) but...each NPC has a few 'training' voice lines. I'm assuming this is when you turn them to Jedi and you 'train' them - since I haven't seen any such scenes or dialogue, I assume these were also cut? Or is there something to do to trigger them - like be male, which I haven't done yet. Or is my game fast-skipping over them... For example, Atton: "All right I'm game, what did you want to show me?" "I didn't know this training thing was going to be so much work." And Disciple: "Very well, what did you want to teach me?" (that just cracks me up for some reason, coming from pompous knowitall Disciple)
-
EDIT - some might consider this mildy spoilish so I'm putting it in spoiler quotes. The Exchange meeting is triggered by Anyway....just relating that....nothing to do with people missing etc.
-
What hive said, only female. I know I'm missing out on some of the game that way...and I made a male Exile...but I just don't want to play him. I've played males in many games, doesn't bother me...but for some reason in this game it does. heh

opinions wanted: Atton's progression
LadyCrimson replied to Rift's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Atton kicks butt either as ranged or jedi. The one thing about NPC turned to Jedi's is that some of them (not all - depends on what you want them to be) tend to fare better as Jedi if you haven't leveled them up a lot in their original class first. My first try I waited too long and Atton was great with 2 blasters but wasn't very good at melee (passable but nothing compared to Exile or my other melee tank). The 2nd try I kept him to a lvl 8 Scoundrel and then turned him Jedi - so now he's still great with his blasters and also good with his sabers. I think he gets less feats as a Scoundrel then as a Sentinel so you get more feats if you start early Jedi. But maybe I'm wrong there, don't know the mechanics very well. Disciple's the other way around...he works better (melee) if you level him first in his original class for a while and then to Jedi, since counselors don't get nearly as many feats. -
She says that regardless of influence etc. It's just DS/LS related. I got the same answer and I had max influence with him DS. He expresses more irritation over you being Dark so it's not surprising that he'd leave you (even if he loved you) if you became the next Sith Lord or whatever...I guess. heh Edit - and I loved making Disciple feel the dark force spots. Mwahahaha.

The comparison of her to Bau-Dur seems apt to me. I don't see either her or bau-dor as weak (in character) but I don't really like the mysterious silent suffering personna. Although I did like Drizzt, in those FR novels, so perhaps it's something else. I can't put my finger on it. Just doesn't appeal.
