I think I'm the most jaded movie-goer here. :D Except, apparently, for the fact that I loved Darkman. Maybe it's my twisted sense of humor. Darkman2, however, did very much suck (wasn't directed by Rami, either).

Gold! And Hellboy was terrible. With a few good comic (as in funny) moments tho.

Funny...I liked SinCity when I watched it, but I barely remember it now, didn't seem to stay impressed on my brain. I should re-watch it sometime.

Kurtis was pretty hot, even if did run a little funny & was hard to control. Lara needs more buddies like him. :D I never really understood the ending of the game relating to him, tho.

Slightly on topic, I'm kind of surprised Google didn't have a Valentines logo today or yesterday...must be the Olympics. :D And...hmm...we have no plans. Maybe I'll get some Chinese food and rent Doom...how romantic! hehe

If a D3 is released, I'll be standing in line to buy it. Bought the first two, would have to complete the trilogy...I have a hard time believing that they would not eventually make D3, since it's one of their most popular titles. I might have a lot more grey hair before they get around to actually releasing it tho.

I haven't noticed the US play a single hockey game in their coverage yet. Maybe I missed it...or maybe, countries cater their broadcasts to events they think their citizens will be most interested in....nah, couldn't be. :D We aren't even pre-empting the daytime soaps like we used to. Bah, weak.

By "kid" I mean around 13 or 14. Maybe if I'd been 8 or so. It's pretty blurry w/out my glasses/contacts yet I often walk around without them, so maybe I'm partially immune to the reduced visibility scare. heheh Plus I don't scare very easily. I think it's the random no-humanistic-reason-for-the-maddness (ala Alien) that creep me out more than vengeful ghosts w/a sympathetic backstory.

My turn to see the re-make of The Fog. In a word: suckage. In five words: Hubby rented it, the fool. I did watch the original again, and while I still think it's not that good of a movie (even as a kid it wasn't scary to me), it's far better than the remake.

Hehe, yeah, how true. Even my mother has one now. Mom's old and frail so I'm glad she has one, tho. If I'm somewhere where I can't get to a phone, or if I'm alone w/no one else who has a cell, I'm also probably somewhere where a cellphone wouldn't work.

Once upon a time, my net nicknames used to mean something. These days they're just randomly picked from whatever I think won't be already "taken" and that I can easily remember (I don't use the auto-login so I have to type my nicks every time). For the past year or two I've used colors. Putting "Lady" or "Ms" somewhere in the name usually cements the not-taken part - at least on game forums.

PaintShopPro9. Alas, PSP was bought out by Corel and Corel is notorious for turning good stuff into bad, I think PSP9 will be the last PSP I buy. If you're interested in a free editor that's reputedly almost as good, the Gimp qualifies.

X-country skiing, guy falls down at the start of the race (tangled up with others on the starting line), breaking a ski, he's dead last, everyone counts him out, and suddenly at the end of the race there he is, pulling up on the leaders like a freight train, to win the silver. I'm not a big sports fan in general, but moments like those are awesome.

Is your cd-drive dvdrom drive a little flaky or postionally supersensitive? Try opening and closing the drive door a dozen times to see if it 'seats' itself properly to be read? I've had drives with that kind of problem. Just a wild thought.

Caught the tail end of the night's broadcast...nice to see Scott Hamilton is still around, even w/his bouts of cancer. The new skating ranking system is new to me...and the women wearing pantsuits. Is that the latest trend or a new requirement? I actually like the pantsuits, you can judge their movements/posture etc. better. I believe bobsledding is the one where they're huddled in actual little "cars" as they race down a track...luge is the one where they're on their backs staring down past their feet.
