  1. Ya can't run from da internet stahkurs! That's always a bit disturbing. Also, it wasn't me. All my bodies are decently buried in the backyard where they're supposed to be.
  2. Hm. 1600x4 (worker slots) x 7 (total chrs) x7 (one week) = 313,600k AD per week (and 1000+ zen a week/exchange). And you don't even have to have Leadership at lvl20. If more slots available, even more. ...screw making workers or items to sell on the AH at the whim of demand and the high AH posting fee. That's good enough for me. (edit: you do have to keep an eye out for when that one special task appears, but that's no biggie via the Gateway)
  3. I don't think even I quite got to 1000 hours in FNV. But I did probably get up around 700-800 by the end. It's not recorded on Steam however, since I play Steam-offline.
  4. What's the max level of rune/enchant that drops from enemies? Lvl4? I'm 48/in the snowy area and lvl3's fall pretty constantly now. I've been trying to take advantage of the skill nodes that appear close to quest instances, before the patch maybe removes/nerfs a lot of them. Mostly for that small chance of the blue crafting assets. Does get boring doing the same 20 feet of area over and over and over... And my panther is finally lvl25, so all six of his gear slots are open. Not that I'm ready to put anything fantastic in those slots yet. His ring/tailsman/necklace etc. are all "white" so it costs nothing to remove them. His runes are lvl5 tho.
  5. Crafting ore and leather pelts whilst listening to CSN&Y and surfing the internet. Best Ros pic ever.
  6. OMG!  ...that said, as much as I love spiders, I will still "freak" just a bit if I see the corpse of a large spider in the bottom of my water glass just as I pick it up to take a drink. One can love something and still yet be grossed out by encountering said something under a few certain circumstances.
  7. That's my feeling on it as well. I like such things in fast, more action-y games but don't feel like it fits here.
  8. I'd guess it won't do quite as well as Microbutt is hoping, but it'll do a lot better (in terms of sales) than many may currently be wishing.
  9. They're just 100 zen for 10 pres. wards. With the AD to Zen exchange rate these days, I buy them semi-frequently. Up to Rank 6 at least, tends to go in cycles, where you'll lose a few in a row then it'll succeed a few in a row, then lose 1, then succeed twice, then lose 2, that sort of thing. I think I read the top attempt has a default 5% chance (?), so at that point I can only imagine how many p. wards one would burn through. People still want too much for the C. Wards, imo. It's just a pre-download/prep. thingie. They changed it so when you exit the game, the launcher comes back up and starts downloading. If you exit the launcher it supposedly saves the D/L to resume next time if you want. I have yet to bother and always click it shut.
  10. I didn't have the sort of weekend I picture Ros having these days but it was full of long impulsive journeys...was barely home for more than a few minutes a couple times to feed the cats. Har. I'm sore and pooped but it was fun like the old days. Need to get my car tuned up again, find a long term cat-sitter, grab some new cheap fishing gear and take a week trip in the van this summer. Maybe drop in some family up North along the way. Do it before I really do become a gimp.
  11. Not sure if I'll see Superman in the theater. I'm definitely interested to see what they've done with this version, but not quite enough to pull me into the hassle of our local cinema...which isn't even all that great of a cinema these days. Especially regarding the sound. For a while they had the sound levels ok, but with Star Trek I had to lightly wad up some tissue and place it loosely in my ears to keep my eardrums from bleeding with every high screeching explosion.
  12. Broke a finger? Ouch. Potential broken glasses are why I appreciate contact lenses. Even when I don't feel like wearing them all the time, it's nice to have them for certain activities. But my prescription hasn't changed much in forever so even ancient pairs of glasses can do in a pinch. You should see the outdated "dork" pair I have in the car dash for emergencies.
  13. I like real cowboy chaps with no pants/leggings underneath - stuff that simply looks like tight pants with the butt area removed, not so much. The former are da awesome tho!
  14. I still can't avoid those big red circle attacks all the time. Run out of stamina too often compared to how often/fast they can cast it. Or I'm stuck in the middle of an attack animation/response delay and it doesn't end soon enough for me to step out of the way. In the quest stuff at least, most of the time you can just quaff potions and be fine anyway. I imagine in the dungeons the cleric aggro would have me running around in circles, unable to do much between healing/buff cast timers, a lot more. Hope for group players that the changes will help with the healer aggro I read so much about. They should pull some aggro, but sounds like it is/was pretty unbalanced.
  15. Every time I use/see the rolling eyes icon, I keep wanting to fix it. It seems to be the only one left with the white border transparency issue...
  16. Yeah, I've seen that mod of "younger Boone" or "more handsome Boone" - I thought it looked terrible and too generic. There was something about FNV faces that tended, in certain lighting/shading conditions, to make them look oddly chimpmunk cheeked or double-chinned. Arcade had a similar thing going on.
  17. The game could use an option to tell your companion to attack something first, imo. And they're useless for taking/maintaining any attention away from your character, really.
  18. ^^ Every time I see that movie, I always wonder how Connery was able to film the movie without constantly laughing. Not to mention the camera people who had to hold the cameras still. OTOH, at least the X straps shows the man-nips!
  19. Well, that pleases me at least, since I also like that mockup quite a bit.
  20. Lead paint in all the homes? ....I've occasionally seen weird things in the sky, but they've never seemed anything other than very high flying planes or falling stars/meteors or something. I think it's also difficult for many of us to really judge speed/distance when looking way up there. Along with possible oddball reflections or something. But if you stop posting for months or something, I'll assume you've been skyjacked ....
  21. What does that have to do with how revealing clothes are? I'm discussing revealing clothing and you're discussing other things. And of course TV/film is a different medium - the point, which you're still missing, is that video games don't have to always be all or nothing, just because they can/it's easy. In fact one could argue that because of the format, things like video games should have even more variety than TV/film. I could go on, but I have a feeling you'd still take me too literally or something. There's years of post history you could read through that would tell you I'm definitely not a "feminist" per se. Only that I understand where some people (male or female) are coming from when they say they're tired of feeling like clothing/appearance options are often too limited or outlandishly caricatured, and that I don't see anything wrong with asking for some change/options now and then. It's not the end of the world when it happens, y'know.
  22. Oh and ... Nope, they cover up too much of the man-nips at times. Leather thong or nothing!
  23. Did I say I felt victimized? I don't see that I did. You're missing the point. As more women enter the world of gaming (or, perhaps, as more women become more open/participatory about their gaming), they may want more options for their female characters. I'm not talking about facial or even figure attractiveness in either sex - my perception is it's usually about how outlandishly revealing the clothing options are. Typically, at least in some genres, even if you can play as a female character, the clothing/armor options (if there are any options) are largely about showing off everything. Sometimes I don't want my character running around with giant hooters and chainmail bikini's. So what's wrong with putting in the option to dress them in a more elegant, sedate outfit instead? Especially in a RPG where I thought one of the points is having choices. This fear some people seem to have that some outfits or some chrs not having a sexah option = they'll never see sexah outfits again is, imo, pretty silly. Not even every TV/movie show has women dressed in their underwear the entire time. Why should games be different?
  24. I think there's a worldwide fear of man-nips and manly butt-cheek, because I almost never see those in a game. All that stupid plate, leather, robe and GI Joe armor covers them up. Real fantasy men don't need full body armor. To combat this obvious problem in games, all male characters in all games should henceforth be clothed in nothing but "Chippendale's Leather Thong +3" 24/7, with no other option given. Ever. Oh and they should /dance on command, for my viewing pleasure, too. ... ... ... ... ... ***disclaimer - as I've said dozens of times, I like options, from sedate/demure/more realistic to sexah and fantasy ridiculous. I don't view some games not having a certain level of sexah to = "fear" of male/female form. It's just a matter of people wanting more options, more often...and to not have only one of those options be the 99.9% dominant, only given choice all the time.
  25. Me: *looks at clock, then dials hubby's cell* Hubs: "Hello?" Me: "It's been over 5 hours, just making sure you're not stuck in a ditch clutching your chest?" Hubs: "Yeah...still here." The increases-over-the-years worry of a wife with an out-of-shape, smoker spouse who likes to go for occasional 4+ hour summer hikes in a steeply hilly park. Among other things - some potentially not so benign.
