DMC5 - F-it. I'm more interested in screenshots than playing or gitting gud, and even in Easy-Assist combat keying is too distracting when you're also trying to hit that tiny Photo Mode button effectively at precise moments. Cheat Engine table downloaded, invulnerable effect on. Much better. Not like I was going to replay this game anyway.

Eastshade - after bumbling around the main big city, I finally found the person selling the "stay out at night" jacket. I was a little shy of the "cash." Found some guy who will buy anything for 1 cash per thing sold. Bought jacket. Yay. Still need the raft. There's some small islands you can see from coastlines, I want to go to those places. Learned how to build twine to help make the raft, but now I need sealant, which requires another involved quest. Pfft. I just want the raffffftttt. Fine, I'll go find out the password for this organization and get info and .... The quests in this game are definitely more than just fetch quests. Some of them, anyway. There's a lady with a hot air balloon ride where I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do for her quest. After I talked to her, she's in the quest list, but no clue how to advance it. Which is great. I'm sure it's something simple, I just haven't run across or figured it out. Btw, the people/npc's in this game, they don't look human. Some are walking/talking bears, others deer people, many ape/monkey people. I occasionally feel like I'm wandering around Planet of the Apes. Only it's prettier.

^ Are you playing the new dlc? How is it? FFXV and those DMC5 chr. mods - got all of them now. Including Trish as Aranea but I can only have one "guest" at a time so I can't get both her and Vergil (replacing Cor) together in a pic like this. Ah well. -
Using HBO through the Amazon Firestick : Watched "Skyscraper". I usually at least giggle-lightly enjoy any movie The Rock is in, but this film was a total waste of space, where not even his charisma could save a single moment. Even the action sequences had me snoring. So then I watched "Rampage." 3 genetically mutated super sized animals running around a city, also with The Rock. Much better. Ludicrous and predictable/lame plot of course, and not quite as tongue in cheek as one might hope for, but a lot more fun than Skyscraper at least.

It's not quite the "norm" yet, but it does seem to be transitioning there. Which is always a PITA when your monitors and TV's and GPU's aren't the same number. Adapters often required unless you buy all new stuff. My 2080ti has only one HDMI and no DVI port at all - that's replaced by a USB-C instead.

I don't have specific model suggestion but the past several years I've liked LG and Dell as far as color and brightness goes, both IPS and LED. Can't really speak to longevity yet since the oldest I have is maybe 3-4 years. At 24" /1080 most LG aren't going to be more than 75hz tho, at least from what I've seen. I have the opposite issue where I want to remain 27" 60hz but most are 144 now with gsync (and/or 4k...), stuff I don't want/need etc. >.> Some seem to like the BenQ 144 like this model but I have no experience with the brand. https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-Equalizer-Vibrance-Adjustable/dp/B01H5KKQTM

Just woke up: mellow, meditative, let's paint: Some hours later, fully awake: "LETS ROCK." -
Hubby's not a CAD expert. He's made some of his own simple shape and parts so he knows how but it's not worth trying to make something complex just for calibration tests. So he mostly grabs stuff from other people in that regard. I think he has a program he's decided he likes using and will get into that side more once he's satisfied with the printing quality itself. But it'd likely be mostly technical prints, parts he wants, that type of stuff - he's not likely to make his own m. falcon or some such, heh.

Pffft, like I know anything. All I know is every time I go out into the garage there's a new test doodad on the worktable. I only know he started with a very cheap "kit" then once he knew what was what, he started buying separate parts that combined with printing some of the supporting parts, he built his own. I guess. That's what he says anyway. That's the way he is (takes apart a phone then remakes it, type) (the blue parts are what he printed) The main limiter with most of these home 3d printers that I've seen (whether $300 or $3000) is build size, which seems to run between 5 inches and 8 inches (height, width). The hot end can only go so high up the rails with most of these designs. So no 5 foot tall Yoda. Edit: the thing hubby struggles with the most is how smooth the print ends up - there's always this one line or two that looks funny. Calibration stuff. You could smooth it out after of course but he wants perfection I suppose. Edit Edit: Hubby just woke up - he says the three main issues with build size are stability of the rails (taller they are), keeping the print platform hot the (bigger it is...) and weight bowing of the horizontal bar (longer it is). One company made a $500 one that's fairly large (not necessarily super-pro quality printing but if size matters...) and of course you can make your own. Which hubby says he's been thinking of doing. So one day I'm going to go into the garage and find a printer taking up half the room, right?

The first couple minutes - Amazon/convenience addict - yeah that's me. It's kind of an interesting series (it's on Netflix too) although for my tastes he forgoes info depth for humor bits or digestibility.

Either I have Borderlands on the brain or that Tropico trailer announcer sounds a lot like Marcus. Also, I still have the original CD of Borderlands 1, complete with all those downloadable patches. I've been afraid to uninstall it because of the DRM issue. Hub did that and couldn't get it to install again so he rebought it on Steam. I suppose I can buy it again, on Steam, upgraded version. Not sure I'll play it again tho...

Well after just saying they always make great trailers, I find myself rather blase about this dev./announcement trailer. I think it's just the music tho. It's ok but nothing that gets me pumped. Anyway, if/whenever it's on Steam, I'll buy two copies for me and hubby, just like I have with all the others. Hopefully it'll be as good as 1 and 2.

CHIPMUNK. I wish we had those. I would be tossing it nuts and cooing and trying to make it a pet. Well, ok, not really a pet. But that's how I'd get close/gain "trust" and coax it out the open sliding glass door - love 'em but yeah, don't want them living in the house. But then hopefully it would revisit now and then for more treats! No no, not a pet! Just occasional buddies, is all! (old pics) Yeah, I know, some hate such creatures. I love 'em tho, so pffft. I spent so much on nuts that one year when I had half a dozen showing up periodically.

I may be bored of Marvel movies but this still works ... to make me laugh.

Not the best pics ever, but just to say: the best mods ever! Finally a quartet replacement I actually like. I need to get the physics file so the clothes move more properly/don't clip as much. -
The episode "Evan" is still one of my all time favorites of any hour-long US series. Bought that season on DVD partly because of that.
-
They still make the best trailers. And while I'm normally not a physical-collectors item sort, I'd give a lot to buy even a less-detailed three foot tall (more or less) plastic replica/version of that thing in the video.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth at once. Wasn't the worst in the world but that first 24 hours after was no fun, most certainly. I've been eyeballing that game. Still not sure if I'm going to buy it, but it does look like something I *might* like. ...that said, I think I need one of those short gaming/pc breaks. Can't even muster the desire to check out the new Grim Dawn expansion that came out today.

Ardyn really loves hats, apparently ... I swear it was like 15+ hats you could buy. I had to get them all, of course. -
Ardyn DLC is the last one, no more. Finished it last night. First half was cool, 2nd half became combat-dull and repetitive. Story bits were fine. Definitely makes you feel sorry for the guy, but I won't go so far as say Ardyn is redeemed. So, it was mostly fun, just the combat in the middle was too filler, at least if you aren't rushing it and were trying to get all the hats. Yes, hats.

Downloading FFXV Ardyn DLC - almost done. Nothing else I've bought recently has been super exciting so ... why not. May as well round it all out. Wish it has been Aranea episode tho. Watched a part of the dlc already via Twitch ... expectations are middling. I'll probably like it more than Prompto's DLC but less than Ignis' DLC. Besides, it's mostly just new Ansel fodder, am I right? Right.

The video itself is a little amusing/entertaining, I smiled a few times. Then I scrolled down and read the "top comments" and started lol'ing pretty hard. The internet. Gotta luv it sometimes.

Bought a VN. Tried to play VN. Refuses to run in Offline mode even tho the store page mentions nothing about 'net required. I did install it on E drive instead of C drive, maybe it doesn't like that, but pffft - if I install it on C drive and it's still Online only I may refund it. Installed Shadow/Tombraider. Fraps won't work with it (a lot of games do work with Fraps on Win10 still, but not all). Tried their Photomode. The P or controller key to take picture doesn't work. Meaning you have to use Steam Overlay to take a screen while in Photomode. Tried Ansel. The Ansel menu comes up but controller doesn't work to use it and the high resolution options aren't even there. I'm confuddled. The built-in benchmark test indicated 35-60fps on mostly Ultra + Raytracing shadows etc at 4k. I'm utterly unimpressed with the Ray-shadows. The game itself? I dunno, it doesn't seem anything special. There's QTE moments. There's too many cutscenes. I feel too closed-in visually a lot of the time. I still don't like "tombraiding" in modern 3d space (vs. original games). But Lara's hair, pants and jacket look really good. Edit: Shadow/TR *is* the first game I've owned where it actually gives me the proper PS4 prompts vs. Xbox ones.
