  1. Then you'll probably have to look to japanese RPGs because IMO, no western made RPG can match the KoTOR series in this aspect. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i think got attach to kotor cause it reminded me of wing commander in that aspect even though the interaction wasn't the best in wc.
  2. I'm not ignoring what happened in the last game, but the thing is that if you played light side and set Revan to light side, then there can still be Jedi left such as the Exile's companions (Atton, Handmaiden, Visas, Bao-Dur, Mira...) and possibly even Atris, if she turned back to the light side. And we know Bastila is still around. Also, while the academy on Dantooine was rebuilt only to have all the Jedi masters there die and most others were killed on Katarr by Nihilus, we still haven't heard anything about what, if anything, happened to the Jedi Council on Coruscant. And we do know there is a Jedi council on Coruscant. When Revan reaches the enclave on Dantooine in KotOR1, he/she comments that he thought the council was on Coruscant. Vandar replies that this is correct, but that the enclave is simply a training facility. So the fate of the council on Coruscant is still uncertain. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> very true, but i said nearly wiped out. yea your right i forgot about the high coucil for moment. but i don't see intruducing a new character that has no idea what going story wise. i believe three will be a epic ending not a beginning. i wasn't refering to you. find some of ideas good. i was refering to the ones like the hutt with lightsabers and such.
  3. hey guys anyone noticed he missed something bout Revan. Before he became a Sith lord he was a jedi hero.
  4. question what jedi acadmey? there no more councilm jedi are nearly wiped out. yea i understand we all having different ideas on three. but some of you are totally disregarding what happen in two. sorry i offend anybody.
  5. the council is gone. the jedi are nearly wiped out. kotor 3 is going a epic ending not a new beginning.
  6. Amen... kotor 3 should be a epic ending not a beginning
  7. but it getting old in a hurry. i mean could understand two games like that but not three. and to me and alot other people we want closure to both their stories. but there one thing i totally agree with you and playcloud that having them in your party. i rather play them. or them not return at all. there to many varible in having them as party members.
  8. man now i'm so confused. i guess we'll have wait and see. but i would to finish revan story in person. but now i'm starting doubt that is possible
  9. This would appear to be the case. It seems as though giving too many options to the player in this regard can hurt the overall plot and continuity of a story trying to be told. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes i can see the point. but that the case they shouldn't even used then in k2. i mean they didn't use jolee etc for the reason we had no option but kill them on the ds. stands to reason they shouldn't used bastila and carth for the same reason. as someone mention somewhere they killed bastila everytime.
  10. i think you will find a few people agree with that i for one do...
  11. now i'm confused someone said there rules governing bastila return. can someone tell me bout them
  12. ever since i picked up kotor in january. i've been hook on the kotor series. now i gotten myself in the debate bout kotor 3. i need to get my mind off of kotor. i'm not thinking clearly anymore. i have come caught with revan coming i'm no longer objective in at it. anyway i'm new to rpgs. is there any other good rpgs out there. i prefer one that has good character interaction like kotor.
  13. i don't think will be time for a council. and for some reason i think we either exile or revan. i just don't think there much point in intruding a character who no clue what is going on story wise. and to me the kotor series is taking the shape of ep. 4-6.
  14. I think if we are Revan bastila or Carth will be in the game. i hope we are revan. but if not and something happen to revan i would like basrila as romance ioption again
  15. i never thought of that. that would be totally cool. be a hard decision but according to girlfriend i have a soldier mind. so i'd probably try to pull off both. lol if we have save bastila again. i hope put a line with carth or another from kotor. were we can say this is getting old. depending if your man. they will reply it your girl. is there some rule governing the returns as party member for bastila and carth, and the other?
  16. and we're on possible returns granted Revan would have to be ls for this. i like to see jolee and juhani back. juhani i want to see how she changed over the years. and maybe a camo by missioon just learn what happen to griff...
  17. if refering to visas or handmaiden i may loose my lunch....yea i'll admit i like bastila always thinks she the best computer generated girl since Angel in WC2.
  18. i agree with you. i think they should have conversation like we did with atton to determine certain bout the previous games. that way new people could i hit don't care or something to that effect. i only mention carth in cause of his camo i could careless if he returns. but bastila is another story. " even i played two i'll tqake bastila anyday of the week. Mira is the only girl in two i liked.
  19. I was over on the la and someone was wondered if bastila could return as party member in three. i say in theory yes. i put carth he made camo in k2. my theory being. in k2 bastila is in love with Revan. while we have option to kill her, we have option of not falling in love with her. so i'm assuming that they the offical line is. Revan fell in love with her and saved her. i maybe wrong in this but that my theory.
  20. Well said, Yst. Here's the real issue: you couldn't play through the original KOTOR without being slapped upside the head with the plot. It was obvious, it was there, and it was going to progress whether you liked it or not. KOTOR 2, on the other hand, requires a bit of effort on the player's part to piece together what is, honestly, a really ingenious interweaving of plot, theme, and gameplay. I thought some of it was heavy-handed in parts, but clearly I was wrong. There's evidence enough on these boards that plenty of people got to Malachor V without having any idea whatsoever why they would want to be there, what the hell was going on with the Mass Shadow Generator, or why they should care. The central theme of actions and echoes (reflected in snippets of force philosophy, individual character backstories, the influence system, the arch plot, etc) was not only inspired, but done really, really well. Right up 'til the end, when suddenly it wasn't. It's unfortunate that the end is what people tend to remember. Tack on a good one, and suddenly TSL kicks KOTOR 1's ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i personally thought was on par with kotor sides the bugs and the plotholes aka the ending, etc. it was excellent i just Revan is a better character then the exile.
  21. alot people that article recently showed up on gamespot. you people should take look at the date posted: 08/13/04. not trying insult anyone.
  22. that layoff article was published last year i remember reading it last year. just when i think i oct or nov. and that romur bout e3 came out in jan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ohh. ok then, thanks for pointing that out! hopefully a video or something will be shown at E3... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i have admit that that layoff article is older then i thought it was posted 08/13/04.
  23. I would like to see the movie style ranks (Padawan, Knight, Master) as well. There should be certain skills that you would have that would determine if you were more of a saber fighter, or force user, but not locked in from the start. They should be skill boxes you have to choose as you level up. I like your idea of starting off as a Padawan . You should be seperated from your master early on. He gives you a mission before he dies, to find Revan (or whatever the plot happens to be). Somewhere along the line you may meet up with another Jedi Master who promotes you to Knight after hearing of your acomplishments, but he can't go with you on your journey. You when you reach the end of the game, perhaps Revan (if you found him) could promote you to Master, before you went out to finish the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i don't think in kotor 3 there will time for a council. the galaxy is going to heck in a handbasket. that why we'll probably be exile/revan. i don't think there time for anymore training padawans. to borrow a line from the U.S. Marines It's do or die. oh for all we know high council is still intact. and kotor is 4000 years earlier then sw:movies. the classrs may have been different then. personally i like them. and i seriously they will throw them out the window.
  24. that layoff article was published last year i remember reading it last year. just when i think i oct or nov. and that romur bout e3 came out in jan.
  25. there rumors going that kotor 3 is already in the development now if they are true i guess we'll find at e3...
