I feel the same. So many people thinking it was a failure. They will nail it soon and it will be a revolution. Starship is cheaper and carry much more. It will enable solar energy from space, bigger telescopes than James Webb, asteroid mining... and so on. Dammit, I explained it to a friend and he still said it must have cost a lot of money to SpaceX. Come on, they probably predicted many failures just in case. They wouldn't bet on quick success.

Congratulations to SpaceX for the successful first Starship test. Yes, it exploded in the end, but they did the "suicide dive" maneuver perfectly and the Starship was going down in the correct position. Excellent for a first test.

It seems people are dissastified with ST Discovery. Pretty heated discussion in the thread below. I wonder why. I don't like how saccharine Discovery is "Every ten minutes there is some ponderously emotional moment. Someone looks at someone else with glistening eyes and we as viewers are supposed to feel how momentous it is. The problem is that when there are 5-10 such moments in each episode, they very quickly completely lose their effect. At this point, it just feels tiresome and cheesy. When you add the almost equally frequent comedic banter and quips, it makes the needle swing around the emotional compass like crazy. The constant and inconsistent emotional overload makes the whole show messy and unaffecting."
