On that note I’m getting pretty tired of hearing about all the nonexistent threats to democracy. So what that a whole bunch of people thought the election was stolen. Did that change the outcome? There’s a whole lot of people who don’t believe the Moonlanding was real. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. There are 535 people in Congress. Out of that like maybe six or seven are nut jobs. Ten at the most. But the news media on both the left and the right incessantly focuses on them all the while telling their lickspittle audiences that “this is what the opposition looks like and they are coming to GET YOU”. The first Congress ever convened in like 1789 or something like that. Ever since then there have been a handful of nut jobs in every single body. This bull crap is not new. Nihil sub sole novum. as far as threat to democracy are concerned there was one. In January. When the president ordered the vice president not to certify an election he lost. Fortunately the vice president had integrity. That idiotic riot was not an insurrection. And it was not a threat to democracy. It was a handful of jackasses that did something stupid. No more a threat to democracy than antifa taking over part of Seattle. Or people burning their own city down in “protest“. Just jackasses doing stupid s—t. There will still be an election every other November and the winners will still take office. All this garbage about “threats to democracy“ is just a pretext for the people in charge of the government right now to call their opposition “enemies of the people“. I don’t know what’s more nauseating. The fact that they get away with it or the fact that so many people buy into it.

Isn’t fairness what it’s all about? I believe I’ve heard on more than one occasion that is the point of “social justice“. Fairness. Maybe those folks should beware what they wish for. but like I said. It ain’t up to me. I’m just a crazy old man living in the woods talking to his dog. I have zero say in public policy.

Some folks are getting more in tax return every year than they actually pay in taxes. I still haven’t wrap my head around how that was fair. If it were up to me I’d shtcan the whole progressive tax plan. 15% and everyone pays. And taxes are due on November 1. Right before the election. I want people walking in that voting booth thinking about how sore their butt holes are. But it’s not up to me.

The budget deficit this year alone is $3,263,054,080,196. So yes, just like every penny Leviathan spends the stimulus checks are just made up funny money.

In fact Reagan got along very well with a solidly democrat controlled Congress including some members like Ted Kennedy who were out right hostile to him. In 1980 Reagan won 48 states. In 1984 he won 49 The argument that he used some kind of “Southern strategy” just fails. He was not Nixon.

Labor is a widget. It has an absolute value. The value like any other widget goes up and down. When the value of the labor is below the cost of the labor you get layoffs. Of course employers are going to try to keep that value as low as possible. And the people who provide the widget are going to try to keep it as high as possible. But when the cost exceeds the value that’s trouble.

Republican party members demand reform. Party may splinter. I turned my back on the republican party over 20 years ago. It was probably more the other way around actually. The last Republican I voted for was John McCain. Not because I aligned with him politically. Not even close. Only because Obama scared me. Needlessly as it turned out. The Republican Party has completely lost its way. It was the party of limited government, fiscal responsibility, personal liberty. Now it is none of those things. I’m not even sure what the heck it is. All that said I take no pleasure in seeing it self-destruct. Like I said before I’m just glad Reagan and Goldwater are not here to see it. Trump was a scourge. And the unchecked rule of economically destructive and authoritarian Democrat government is going to be his legacy.

I’m looking on YouTube for it now. Nothing so far. It may be that she really was interfering with what the police were doing. You can’t do that. But if she was arrested simply for recording then the decision was wrong. And definitely should be appealed. It all comes down to what the video actually shows.
