KOTOR timeframe... because I'm more familiar with it.

I'm a mod on a popular gaming site and it can be a pain in the arse. The thing to remember is that most sites are privately owned, and as such, there is no "freedom of speech," but rather whatever the rules of the owner(s) state.

I made like infinity of those at Scout camp.

I think my favorite part is the exhiliration and anticipation after just having seen the intro scroll fade out, hearing the awesome musical score, and having the camera pan down to whatever planet is in the background, thus kicking off the movie ...

Thank ya, o blue-haired vixen of the British accent! Yah, I am taking a WoW break and got in the mood for some more lightsaber slicing, force power wielding action. I plugged the headphones back in, because I love the voice acting so much. And that, naturally, led me back here!

Plus, you get experience points for unlocking this with the Security skill, unlike bashing. And bashing risks giving you a "broken item" rather than phat l3wtz0rs.

I usually stop at a workbench and use the button to change party members to bring along Bao-Dur (or possibly T3) to make some nifty upgrades. Same with armor's regen underlays: I grab out whichever party member has the highest overall Treat Injury skill.

Drain Life is great for healing yourself if you're DS and near many foes. Uses less force points than the LS-based Heal powers. Plus, it looks nifty. Forcedrain... meh. Kinda unused in my games.

After you destroy GOTO's yacht, you can return to Nar Shadaa and ask the guy by the controls at the Docks to transport her off the planet, to complete the quest (and get LS points, I think).

I love all the lines they put in there which are taken from Ep. IV and the other movies, such as: Kreia: "We seem to have found it" (the hologram in T3) "You've taken your first steps down a longer road." Mercenary: "I always was one for aggressive negotiations." Atton: "I've got a bad feeling about this." Stuff like that. And this, of course:

Well, if they stick with the trend to introduce the PC as a completely different character, after the events of the previous games unfold, then who knows? The DS rushed ending of TSL has the Exile taking over the evil temple on Malachor, whereas the LS ending has the Exile destroying the temple and vrooming away. I think it would have to be something competely different, with both of those characters sort of brushed aside but perhaps mentioned in KotOR3. Here's to hoping there IS a KotOR3!!!!

Interesting ... I don't think I've focused much on STR yet for the PC in any of my games. I'm usually too worried about Defense and go with Weapon Finesse (Lightsaber Finesse) and rely on the crystals and +damage items of the saber to help out with extra damage. I think I read somewhere that using a single saber with 2hands (or using a double-bladed one?) gives a STR damage bonus (2x and 1.5x, respectively, I think? Could be wrong). STR could really pay off in that case. For the sake of doing something different, I was planning to make a character who only uses melee weapons (not lightsabers) at some point. In that case, I was planning to focus much more on STR. Thanks for the idea.

Are there rules for Mind Flayers as a playable "class" (in which their racial abilities start out slow and build up as they level as that monster class) in Savage Species or the Book of Aberrations? I know that a 10th level Dragon Disciple Prestige Class goes on to use the full Half-Dragon template ... perhaps a compromise could be to let the character "evolve" slowly into that wacky idea. Or, if it's just plain old fashioned munchkin powergaming, then throw them down into the middle of the Blood War between Demons and Devils or something.

If you side with the female Rodian merchant on Narshadda, and keep going back to her after you finish other planets (and thus open trade routes to them for her), there will be a silver crystal for sale on her. After Dantooine, I think.

Or maybe, if you start the game DS and Revan was a male, Carth went bonkers over both his buddy Revan being e-veel as well as his son having joined up with the Sith army, and he fled to a cave, becoming a hermit who talks to womprats and gizka and elderberries. On the offchance that he was killed in the first game by a DS Revan, they didn't include him if you specify that Revan was DS.

Well, actually I usually dual-wield, so I have 2 special lightsabers. But, it depends on the character build I'm going with at the time. EDIT: Added spoiler tags, since this isn't the Spoiler forum.
