The Kotor III polls are getting old... But, it had better be made, and LA (being the OPEC of video games ), should recognize the amount of cash they can still get from a Kotor III. Much more, and it would be pushing it. OE did the best (or close to it) that they could, but they were still forced to cut many areas and cutscenes.

"Mystra entrusted her powers to the young mortal, Midnight." -NWN book, and Wikipedia.com She did get killed by Helm trying to get back to whatever the God's Realm is called in Forgotten Realms, because without her, Magic was going crazy. Did you know that Shar created a parady of Mystra's magic-web thingy? I may have that used in my module/fanfiction...

Wizards' Islands - Scourge of the Frost Bringer
The Great Phantom replied to Baley's topic in Computer and Console
Technically, lotsa people here are trolling. I am trying to stay neutral. I don't like Morrowind a whole ton, but it was fun when I DID play it a LONG time ago. Just the concept of total freedom. Kotor II had its faults, but we should get back on topic. -
Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...

Off topic continuation: I sorta agree w/ that idea, Satasn. On topic: SW isn't a religion, unless you're in Canada. So, let's treat it as (not) such. -

They're both DECENT. Neither is exceptional, which apparently makes people hate them... Morrowind's magic was cool... God's Fire was well worth all the crunching to get to that level. -
From the bit of 'research' I've done since starting NWN, if you kill a god, then you have to take his portfolio, or it's left 'floating around'.

KOTOR 3 - Truth or speculation
The Great Phantom replied to RobMcB's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ah, but Revan's 'true nature' was exposed when the Council brainwiped him. So, you were playing his 'true nature', be it good or evil. Just because the memories associated w/ those things were mutilated doesn't change personality (unless your like me and deliberatly shape your personality to keep things in your comfort zone aka you see all, but people ignore you, and hardly anybody gives you a second thought). -

Yes, but SW isn't Existentialistic. In SW, there is no 'infinite universes'. It's Fantasy meets Sci-Fi, and has little or NO theological base. It may have started that way, but now it's just a cool timeline for even cooler games/books/movies/anything-else-that-I-can't-think-of-because-I'm-doing-an-evil-romance-on-my-NWN-module.-Do-you-have-any-idea-how-hard-it-is-to-make-an-evil-lady-that-likes-serving-evil-sound-romantic? -
Wizards' Islands - Scourge of the Frost Bringer

"It is not the destination that matters, but how you get there." The dialogue stunk, true. However, they game itself was quite fun. I'm a sucker for anything resembling a mystery, and I LOVE anything involving mythological things (from Elves to Dragons, pretty much.). Edit: That, and I created a mod that allowed you to play a short quest as a Snow Elf, where you find about your lineage. It was never completed, though. -
KOTOR 3: Sanctioned Good Ideas 1/3
The Great Phantom replied to Master Anoon Bondara's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What quests can go in an M game that can't fit into a T game? In NWN, there were 'brothels'. Heck, I even have the script saved that makes the screen go black and makes everybody armorless! You can work for whores, etc. I can't see anything that would actually make the game better that can't be done w/ T. I hate FPS's... RPG's all the way for me. -
1- I want Male LS Revan and Bastila to either die together, or live happily ever after 2- I don't want OE to listen to the gamers. If they make it, they should try to complete the story THEIR way. If they listened to us, then the game would end up being crud, frankly (listening to myself included).

Who do you think should/will make KOTOR 3?
The Great Phantom replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
[childish ranting] Yay, Obsidian! We believe in you! *Curse you, Lucas Arts!* [/childish ranting] Basically what I just said... OE is made from great people, and the game was great. It could have been much better if LA didn't try to muscle in before X-Mas, but... LA interior jobs usually stink. -

What makes people hate Morrowind so much? I thought it was rather respectable, even with the terrible convo's. That's the only flaw, other than some of the physics. -

Sure, for what you put in. But many gamers are little kids, and if their parents care about what they play, then all they pay attention to is the rating. If I got NWN 5 or 6 years ago, then I'd be able to play it, even IF it's bloody and the screams can give those w/ a weak consitution nightmares, so long as it wasn't M. I think that some of the best RPG's ever have been T... BG, PS:T, NWN, SWKOTOR (they really need a shorter acronym to keep up w/ the 'big dogs' ), etc. Come to think of it, I can't really think of a GOOD RPG that IS rated M... -
Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
The Great Phantom replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, metadigital, Kreia comments on what Disciple sees: The Echoes. The Force is connected to all life. Even in the message boards (which are pretty much ALWAYs right): If the echoes aren't stopped, then all life will... die. Either that, or go deaf to the Force, which is Life becomming deaf to Life, and just can't be good. -
Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
The Great Phantom replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Destiny can't be permanent. It may have certain TIMES in it that something needs done, but this is NEVER set in stone, until AFTER it happens. Then, you're like "Oh, dude. Was that my destiny? Or, if I had eaten pancakes instead of my dad's poisoned Fruit Loops, would I have lived to become the Sith Lord? Or, what if I decided to go over and kill the slaves again? Or, what if I had..." You get the idea. There are WAY too many choices for the Force to have a will. All it does is seek some equilibriam between all of them, which is what EVERYTHING seeks, in its own right. As I have said MANY times before, the Force is just a HUGE look at the Will of Life Itself. -

The only benefit of LA is that they don't do MA games. That, and their games are normally SW based... If Kotor was made a MA series, then I wouldn't have been able to pick it up in the first place. It's possible to make a bloody game with lots of screaming and still have it be Teen (NWN). Mature rated doesn't mean better, a lot of the time. Then again, I hate Halo. *ducks and pulls out some obscurely named Halo gun aimed at the Halo fanatics that will likely shoot* -
Anyone ever attempt to explain this?
The Great Phantom replied to Kilkanon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nope. FS-iveness isn't necessarily hereditary, SteveThaiBinh. A group of rabid gizka could evolve into the most powerful Jedi ever, as far as genetics is concerned. The Force touches ALL LIFE, not just Force Sensitives. -

If you need writers and/or somebody with very MINOR C++ scripting skills, then I'd be glad to help. Oh, and I don't think it's supposed to canabolize... That means to eat the members of your species... Maybe canonize is what you were looking for, hm? -
KOTOR 3 - Truth or speculation
The Great Phantom replied to RobMcB's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think you may be in the minority. Most people, myself included, may prefer Revan. Revan I was able to tie with more easily, plus the fact he was in a classic game makes him more memorable. Because of LA, The Exile will probably the PC in a disliked game everywhere... I loved Kotor II, personally. Revan is still my favorite, though. -
KOTOR 3 - Truth or speculation
The Great Phantom replied to RobMcB's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not literally. I mean a normal average Jedi. I hate galaxies... too much pointless crunching. But, if we are just a normal Jedi, then it would help show that average isn't always bad... That way the character would actually be OUR OWN. We could make up reasons for them joining the Jedi/Sith, etc. -
Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
The Great Phantom replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes. She says so herself, FaramirK. (Revelation scene btwn Desciple and Kreia, w/ out specific dialogue) Disciple sees the ripples in the Force, and their effects. Kreia asks what he sees, and he says that he says the Death of all Life Kreia says that that alone would be worthless. But, it is necessary to show the Jedi Masters the 'errors of their ways'. If somebody can drag up that convo, it would be much appreciated. -
Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
The Great Phantom replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Force is ALL LIFE embodied. Since LIVING BEINGS divide amongst themselves, the Force is 'forced' to do so as well. It has no sides, but is merely an embodiment of those it touches (ALL LIFE, not JUST Fs's!). Don't compare it to any gods. It was created for SW, and is best left there. Same goes for theologies. The Force is just ALL LIFE! All Jedi (even in the Kotor Series) hold to this. Kreia only implies that the Force has more control than she wants it to (although the Jedi don't care, and the Sith don't either as long as they feel they're free). She blames it for MAKING Revan fall and ALL OF HER suffering. Kreia has suffered MUCH at all hands, and she blames it on the thing that she is able to trace all life back to: The Force.
