I saw the same thing and loved it. Let the tears rain in. I am all for helping people and being considerate and accepting of others. Me accepting you also means I will make fun of you like I make fun of everyone else. Cause yes you are normal and their are certain quirks about you that I will poke at. Welcome to the party!

I couldn't agree more. Its a joke. Stop crying. If they had a joke about heterosexuals I would not have any problem with it. People are too sensitive. I don't CARE what you are. A joke is a joke get over it. Those groups can be bullies too. No one cares if you are trans gender you are people like we are and we will make FUN OF YOU just like we make fun of everyone else. You are not special.

Oh ya he was bashing concelhauts Ancient Death guards for 100+ damage so guys who are immune to fire so turning wheel was not effecting them...that double crush damage you get from Torments Reach is BRUTAL. After Paladins for me (just cause I like the stlye and tankyness of Paladins) its monks. Durable frontliners who put out damage like a rogue. It might be a bit too much honestly. He is my favorite companion. I like his voice acting and lore a lot too.

IMO a monk just doesnt need that much. I had Zahua in Superb light armor (the animal skin one that is 25% recovery and that has a unique name) and I used his fists end of story. I had back up hatchets for crush immune mobs in the White March area. With Turning Wheel, Torments reach and Iron wheel he was MVP in my PoTD Trial of Iron run. He was wearing light armor so he hit very quickly and with extreme prejudice. I am talking 40 + crits on hug DR mobs like Dragons with PHYSICAL damage. That is out of control. I attained him around level 9 and at the end of the game he had almost half a million damage. Maybe the Support he had is more then you guys give him? I had a heavy frontline. Paladin PC, Pallegina, tankyish Devil of Caroc (Riposte is surprisingly fun on a tanky rogue but I would not do it again there are better uses) and Zahua. A lot of the times he was not the main target and when he was my PC would toss him Reinforcing Exhortation and for 29 seconds he had 100 deflection more then enough to still attain wounds but not too quickly. You can certainly make an effective Plate wearing monk especially early game but I think in the late game you can play a monk the way they are traditionally. Very little armor and pounded dudes in plate armor with your fists.

2nd Fight against Doemenels?

I'd report this in the bugs section. share a link of your saved game with Dropbox. Also an output log through Dropbox. This has never happened to me but you never know. -
They Grey Sleeper also has a 10% chance to Paralyze on hit. Also it has a certain % to raise undead to fight for you and it is Superb. But like it was said there is no Lash on it. Btw The Adra dragon dropped two scales for me the last time I beat her. I think that's an update and you can make two superb weapons now. I do like the massive DR reduction of Drakes Bell as with vulnerable attack you have a grand total of -13 DR which is sick. It is really good against heavily armored targets like Dragons. I am not sure on the Math and would have to test out what is better against high armored targets. 3 more DR Penetration or 15% and +4 Accuracy.

I didn't find Conci difficult to beat at level 14 on hard. Some of the minion fights in the same area were more difficult imo. I kept my party to the right outside of his chamber. Sent in a tank to go through the conversation and start the fight, then run back out immediately. It worked beautifully: All enemies including Conci huddled together in or behind the doorway, ready to receive non-stop AoE bombardment by my druid and (hasted) mage. Playing on Hard is much different then PoTD. I am unsure if PoTD upscales Cragholdt or if it is always the same but I did it on PoTD. I did the same as you did. I am just saying he is more powerful and more difficult then any other enemy in the game. Even the master below is much easier. TBH They should LOCK those doors behind you.

Dude how are you speccing your Paladins. Especially after the Defender nerf they are much more sturdy then any fighter who specced to tank as well. I had her solo tanking The master below AND CONCELHAUT on PoTD while still being offensively viable and they could not touch her. She is also a companion Paladin who only gets +5 deflection and + 10 to the rest of her saves and who has non optimized attributes. Faith and Conviction makes Paladins EXTREMELY durable on a PC Paladin the gap between Fighter and Paladin defensively gets even larger as full Faith and Conviction with Deep faith gives you a +13 Deflection and + 27 yes + TWENTY SEVEN to Fort, Reflex and Will that is like wearing THREE Extra +9 to saves rings. Its nuts and not even close right now. I am not saying a fighter is a bad tank. They are not and still do well in the roll. I am saying at the moment because of the Defender nerf Paladins are better at it and definitely NOT less sturdy. If they are both specced to tank. Its just bad information that is not correct. On the other hand Fighters always have been MUCH better Offensive frontliners as they can raise their minimum damage, (huge ability) and maximum damage on weapons thanks to their weapon masteries and Confident Aim. They also have better natural accuracy (the stat that matters the most in PoTD). All a Paladin can do offensively better then them is 2 times per fight they have a large burst of damage with Flames of Devotion. Fighters are just better offensively in long fights like bosses plain and simple. I love the Fighter but lets not call it what is not. And it is not currently a better tank then the Paladin.

Talking to Iovara
Torm51 replied to Kogorn733's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Its one of the best stats for frontliners imo. Deflection, high concentration for Low interrupt chance and great dialogue. -
I've done story on every playthough So I am going to try for full custom party but I just can never get myself to do it. I was thinking of putting together an Old Valian mercenary team lead by a Darcozzi Paladin. This team represents me and my friends hah! We went on a Halloween cruise 5 years ago as an 80s hair band and called ourselves Righteous Dragon! That would be the name of the merc team! Or Dragons of Eternity or Dragones Justos (its Spanish not Italianish like the Valians are but still lol) But..... The companions are well written. I like really like Pallegina (big surprise I like Paladins and I used to serve my country lol) , Zahua, Hiravious, Durance, Eder, Sagani lmao....I will try to go custom though.

So with the Per change to accuracy I took a Con of 14 in my last Trial of Iron PoTD run. I knew my frontliner would be getting hit a fair bit more. After finishing the game I felt that the 14 Con served me well in the early game but not as much in the late. Should I just stick to a base of 10 con? granted that's not the only thing 14 con does as it does increase my Fort Defense which is imo the second most important defense for a Paladin. This next time around I am going to go for the Triple Crown (expert mode with diologue...options for faith and conviction might be tough) with a full custom party as I just finished PoTD/Trial of Iron with all story companions. I am going for a similar build as my last Paladin a durable frontliner that's weapon and shield but can switch to a damaging melee weapon and hold engagement while not being focused. I was thinking of going one handed for the great accuracy bonuses. I know its not the MOST optimal but I will say that the only time my Paladin felt not very useful in this play through was against High Deflection Spirits (Durgans Battery) that would by pass my frontline and hit soft targets. With a 2hander and 10 Perception I just didn't have the accuracy to hit them consistently. When I switched to a damaging one hander with FoD it would almost one shot Shades and severely hurt Sirens. I only had a base of 12 Might. What do you guys think of this for a Stat spread. Its not min/maxed: Might 16 Con 14 Dex 9 10 Per 13 Int 16 Resolve OR Might 18 Con 14 Dex 10 Per 10 Int 10 (LoH, auras and Liberating Exhortation I am going Darcozzi will suffer) Res 16

2nd Fight against Doemenels?

Ya maybe you didn't patch right? GOG patches have been wonky if not applied correctly
