  1. I haven't heard about Sega being paranoid (securing future assets) and implementing intrusive copy-protection (reclaim market-share) before. But i can be wrong though.
  2. Excellent, shooting your own foot. Excellent dollar, good dollar, they done their research.
  3. True, true. But how would that be implemented? As a dialog-response? For example: 1. I...am...sorry, I truly am. 2. I refer that would stop crying immediately! It will get you nowhere! 3. [Empty your soul and let go of your feelings. Let the waterworks commence] Oh, pretty smart of MTV to point out that you can sleep with the ladies, it will guarantee a lot of cash from the teens (and me)

    Aliens?

Well, consider his career in being an astronaut, this claim has more weigh to it than anything said by David Icke. But it is only words at this stage, which requires funnily enough, belief rather than the scientific method.
  5. I raise your bet with "The Ecstasy of Gold". I always get chills down my spine when i see this scene. An audiovisual lapse of greatness in movie history.
  6. I pretty much agree with Sand there, no need to play something leaked. I'll wait (albeit grudgingly).
  7. Update: I went to my grandparents today and look what i found, Dvorak's 9th Symphony. Too bad it was an LP-record and i don't an LP-player at home Anyhoo, i did some searching (again, thank you Youtube) and found many recommending Von Karajan's intepretations of the Beethoven symphonies, and i have to admit i really like them; Very passionate and dramatic. Apparantly, there's a recording of symponies 1-9 to be found somewhere. I can personally highly recommend it.
  8. Yeah, they finished season 3. There's also season 4 airing in Japan currently. I was at Best Buy recently and saw Samurai 7 for sale. Then I noticed something. It's Akira Kurosawa's Samurai 7. It's based on his classic film Seven Samurai! I had to buy it, but I'm afraid to open it. Any opinions? Samurai 7 is 'ok' at best. Very high production values though with CGI implemented here and there.
  9. Arigato gozaimasu!
  10. IIRC, Xard's avatar is from the back of the 'Let it Be'-album. I have to check my dad's old LP-records again to be sure. and oh, Mozart - "Lacrimosa", some version found at youtube.
  11. Tchaikovsky as well? What do you even mean by funeral? I personally find most (if not all) of those classical music collections absolutely awful, but I guess that they are in general well suited to finding composers that you like. How much of The Planets did you listen to? Edit: Tchaikovsky can be rather "bombastic" by the way. Edit2: Emphasized can. I listened through the whole thing, it's on youtube after all. Judgning from the comments, I understand why many would choose "Jupiter" as their favourite. Mine however, is definately "Mars: The Bringer of War". Very cold, almost non-human rythm and with an incredible climax half-way through, Holst really knew what he was doing when he wanted to describe the epithome of war, IMO. For the rest who replied, i have some difficulties on which compilation to pick, since there are like 5000 different compilations out there, and several are almost indentical. Is there a notable difference to be found there? Like the venue, orchestra, etc?
  12. I've seen 65 episodes of 'Gintama' in a row. Very insensere and filled with low-brow humor, but there's room for character development that makes one want to watch "just....another....episode". For example, there's an episode that consists of only the three main characters scheming against each other with different strategies on how to steal ALL the meat from the hot-pot that they are cooking. It sounds boring at first, but by masterful editing and wonderful internal dialogue by the characters, one doesn't even notice that they drag it out for a whole 25 minutes. Aside from the pilot-episode, which was a bit of a drag (consisting of episode 1 and 2), this anime is a cheerful bliss all the way through.
  13. Well, recently listened to Gustav Holst's 'The Planets', conducted by Tadajiro Iimori, and i had a smaller revelation. No wonder that most music (especially metal and movie soundtracks) is influenced from this incredible piece of art. For me, it was like a whole new world has opened to me, call it maturity or the walls of ignorance beeing crushed, but it is really a sublime experience. Now, i came to like the 'bombastic' (is that even a word?) undertone to the whole 'The Planets' composition, and i would like to find something alike, atleast to start with. From there, i would like to continue to expand my horizon into different types of sub-genres that exists. At the moment, i am thinking about some Wagner, i recon that 'The flight of the Valkyries' in Apocalypse Now! was his composition, and maybe Mozart's 'Requiem'. The problem is, is that there are hundreds of different versions out there conducted under different orchestras. Anyone with some experience care to recommend any particular piece? It would be really appreciated.
  14. But, but, but......
  15. Don't you have any principles what so ever? Would you by wine by the "Pedophiles for underage sodomy"-group just because it was good? Would you buy a rock album composed by Charles Manson, just because it sounded good? Would you buy tomatoes from Hezbollah because they just were good? Would you buy a painting made by Kim Jong Ill because it looked good? Would YOU? What would you say to your precious children? Think of the children, won't SOMEBODY THINK OF THE PRECIOUS CHILDREN?! [/nerdrage]
  16. Correct. Any modifications we've made to the engine have been done in-house. Care to explain what those modifications are? It would be really appreciated RPG systems. That's about all I think I can say at this point. Can you promise a functional, and not cumbersome UI/inventory? *cough* ME *cough*
  17. Almost, it actually the original Duke Nukem-anthem. But get this, it's played by no other than Megadeth
  18. AWESOME. I wish it was longer.
  19. Thank you! Question? Will there be different "fatality"-animations depending on class, gender and weapon proficiency? Hopefully the majority of work will go into actual role-playing though.
  20. Correct. Any modifications we've made to the engine have been done in-house. Care to explain what those modifications are? It would be really appreciated
  21. I CURSE THEE WITH THE WRATH OF THE HEAVENS AND A FIST OF AN ANGRY GOD
  22. We both know that even if pancreatic cancer hadn't killed him, Bill would have died trying to singlehandedly storm the whitehouse after the election rigging business. He tried to, but his "People-who-hate-People"-platform never really got off. Frankly, they didn't even got together in the first place, if you catch my drift. If Rove would've been involved hurting a jew somewhere, the Mossad would've taken care of him before we know it
  23. Relax. Zoomed-in makes great screenshots for PR-purposes though. The last one reminded me a lot about a certain crypt in MoTB
