Unskippable death-sequences? Right control-stick NOT handling the camera? Oh dear....

Sandra Palin uses religion as a political tool, which is a strictly no-no for me. It is the cheapest of political hackeries that a politican can do to 'energize' her base. Religion is very personal, as it defines ones core belief on where you as a person stand in the the universe of all, your own truth so to say. And to cling to religion publicly, for lets say an oil pipeline, shows a severe lack of judgement and respect to others. Other politicians have done it in american politics, but Palin takes the price, as far as i can tell. I see no reason to vote for her. My vote (if i could) would go to Mike Gravel. And oh, american health care is good. American healt-insurance however, sucks donkey-d***. It is simply morally wrong, we aren't cars, houses or any kind of commodity, we are human beings and should be treated as such.

Spore is out, and cracked, on the internets.

After dealing with GTA4, Bioshock and Oblivion, just to name a few, i have no faith in any major gaming publication. Except for Edge magazine, who actually have some negative comments on the games that they are previewing/reviewing. You both miss the point. Every article has facts and opinions. You can ignore the opinions and still get a solid picture of what a game is like. You just need to read for the facts. On Oblivion (shortened): REVIEWERS OPIONION: Main quest well done, quests are of variable content and neverending exploration. Every character has something to say and radiant A.I. immerses the player even more <-- Should be ignored. FACT: Wast open world, filled with lots of dialogue, quests and lots of dungeons to explore. MY OPIONION: Dull and uninteresting world, level-scaling destroyed the gameplay, boring dialogue, A.I. is flaky, quests are 98% of 'kill something, bring loot' and the dungeons are unfulfilling. Again, the reviewers often cloud their judgement when they rarely even get their 'facts' straight. A simple demo would've saved me the money. -

Hopefully some more info will be revealed. Some ingame screenshots would be nice.

What if they don't realize that we've already been sucked into a blackhole without knowing it, and we're just in a parellel dimension, thus a mere permutation of the infinite of possibilities of the original earth? Are we then even real? What is reality? Can we sue a manifestation of an action of interdimensional proportions? What if this collider really creates another black hole that causes this dimension to merge with the original earth and creates harmony in the einstein's time-gravitational space? Wouldn't it mean that by NOT starting this collider would be a human rights-violation by itself? What would jesus do?

Well, that is strange to hear, the Evil Socialist plan with which in mind the UN was formed was actually the downfall of Hitler and Mussolini. I do hope you have no idea what you're talking about, or you're even more of a right- wing extremist than you seem to be. I don't now where you got that info from, but as hurlshot said, the UN as we know it was formed after WWII. It's predecessor collapsed since germany and the soviet union was kicked out when the great war started, and the US wasn't even a member to begin with. The UN was later formed in order to keep a somewhat status quo between the big players after the war. For those with a permanent seat in the security counsil, it is more of a joke, as they don't need the UN in order to achieve their respective interests. For all the other small countries in the world, it is the only forum where they can have their voices heard. Otherwise, they would be even more pushed around by the big players than before in their game of 'risk'.

Yes, that's generally what the knee-jerk conservatives foresee whenever the Democrats come along to clean up their mess. Meanwhile the rest of the world cheers. interesting that you call them conservatives and democrats instead of either republicans and democrats or conservatives and liberals. hehe... if any politician, republican or democrat, ever were to clean up any mess, i'd cheer. the rest of the world can pound sand as far as i'm concerned because they have proven time and again that their opinions regarding the US are largely worthless. taks Hahahahahahahaha I can't even remember any head of state in any democratic country that ever took responsibility and said: "Boy, did we f*** it up there". As we seen in the US, and in Europe with the EU for that matter(which i hate with a passion, but that's another thread), as time goes by, the politicians mess it all up, leaving the other party to fix it up by mandating more power from the people. Thomas Jefferson was right, to secure that the goverment was by the people for the people, a revolution is needed every now and then. And themadhatter114 is paranoid about Obama. Has the US policy against the U.N. really changed throughout the years, regardless on what rhethoric the current president had? It has been, and it will continue be a playground for the big boys (USA, Russia, China, France, Great Britain) on their game of chess of the world affairs. This is also known as Realpolitik.

And oh, before returning to the presidential elections, i would like to add a comment about socialism and healthcare in Europe. First, every country has it differently, in germany for example you can have a private health-care insurance if you want to, but everyone has one that the state pays for though, unless otherwise. In Finland for example, there are private and public clinics, and hospitals as well. Companies usually use private clinics, since some of them are specializes in work-related injuries. All in all, the system is tier-based. Got the flu? Go to the nearest clinic (private or public), get a diagnosis, and go to the pharmacy and get your pills. The flu got worse? Back to your clinic and the doctor puts you to the nearest hospital. If the situation goes FUBAR, then you are taken to the nearest university or central hospital. Emergency situations are done in a different manner ofcourse. And for the bills? Well, you'll never see them, the doctors and hospitals file it to the state insurance company, who is non-profit, funded by the goverment through your taxes. Thus, healthcare itself is not socialized, the healthcare-insurance industry is. Downsides? Well, like any insurance company, they do take their job seriously. They have their own doctor's to examine the results, looking for any possibility of cheating the system or performing unnecessary proedures (for example, getting bigger boobs for the sake of bigger boobs, and the bills go straight back to you). My dad had a beef with them a couple of years ago. His job requires a lot of travelling by car, and his back has been taking a great toll (it's so bad that he can't bend correctly anymore) in recent years. His doctor recommended him to install a special designed chair in the car in order to ease the stress on his back, which he did. The state insurance weren't exactly keen on this, so they made the claim that his condition didn't warrant the need of a specially designed chair. So, my dad went to one of real specialists in this country to get his back examined, and he agreed with my dad. The doctor filed for an official complaint, and they agreed this time, since they can't claim in the court that their doctors have better judgement than the specialists in the field. Sadly, it took more time than necessary to get it done. But like the american system, it isn't perfect.

Abortion is a non-issue, or atleast it should be. When does the fetus become a person? Should we criminilize doctors and women who do it? When does life exactly begin? Hell, life maybe even started billions of years ago, and i haven't seen any signs of it stopping, an abortion certainly doesn't cancel it. Point being, there's no universal truth in that matter, and all that i see is cynical politicians using it as a bait to get the christian right out of their churches and into the voting, only to be duped time after time. Too vague. Considering her own comments about the issue before, i want to see her advocating separation between the church and the state, which ID and creationism is trying to erase. You are clearly mistaken me on this issue, if the situation mandates that alaskan oil will save the united states for all eternity, or atleast 50-100 years, then sure, why not? As it is now, I rather focus more on renewable or alternative sources of energy that would make the whole world less dependent on the arab oil. What hell....? Where do get this info from? Sex educators with a seperate agenda? And what is this agenda exactly? Making the youth f*** more and get all kinds of STD's for their amusement? Who gains amything from this? Satan? Where i live, the sex education was done by the biology teacher, who brought up all the very points that you claim that they do not do. While the class was really boring, since it was done from a biologist POW, it worked, since there was no morale behind it. And i certainly didn't see any "PRO-F***", or "PAYED BY THE CONDOM-FACTORY"-pin on him. Hell, he even brought up several myths about 'not getting pregnant without using a condom' as well. And finally, he added: "Condom's may break, and there's a single-digit procentage that they didn't worked on that particular time, and birth-control pills don't work against STD's at all. You can all just skip it all and don't have sex at all. But we are humans after all, and i expect you to have good judgement in a mature manner when the time comes." And what studies have you seen again? In Europe, where sex in general is handled in a much more mature way, studies have shown that the introduction of sex education has dropped abortion rates considerably, and the same with STD's as well. Look at Ireland's total lack of sex education in the 80's. Thousands of kids had to take the boat to Great Britain to perform the procedure. And guess what happened when they introduced some normal sex-ed? I leave that to you.

Again, is it in the best interest for the patient to have a doctor that can select on whether he/she wants to treat them, based on their own set of morality? An example: A patient faces the risk of needing a blood-transfusion. However, the doctor is a Jehova's witness, and believes that blood-transfusion makes the person to loose a part of their soul, and refuses it. Is that right? Practically, this shifts the responsibility to the patient to choose a doctor that treats everyone equally, without any moral prejudice. In a life and death, or remotely stressful situation, do you think this sounds reasonable? -
The Dark Knight. It was good, a bit overrated though, i fail to see why this one is #1 at imdb.com. A solid 8/10.

I'm listening to som real finnish culture! This is also known as the second finnish national anthem. The songs tells about a boy born into a family of unemployment, alcoholism and violence. The boy promises himself to never do the evil deeds of his father, only to find himself being rushed to the very same path, and the cycle contiues. Every finn recognizes this fate. Every family, village or neighbourhood has the same story.

People, people. The whole baby-gate,being a bad parent, her daughter's future husband being a red-neck, highschool dropout, or whether her church is run by a bunch of cuckoo's are just pot-shots from people, like me, that have already long before decided that she is definately not the best choice as a VP. This is just the icing of the cake, having some fun, like how 'conserned' conservatives were about reverend Wright, or Michelle's 'for the first time, i am proud to be an american. Like they would've voted for the guy anyway. Any grown-up understands this, right? Again, i wouldn't vote for candidate, whose VP is: - Anti-abortion, even if the woman was raped. - Pro-Creationism, as it is a perfect theory to be alongside evolution. - Anti-stemcell research. - Pro-drilling, like that would solve any problems. This is just cheap-points for 'conserned conservatives'. - Promotes abstinence-only for sexual education. Even if she doesn't have any political power to set any of those principles in motion, there's the one simple rule: She doesn't represent me, or anything remotely to my views.

Stop hating yourself and try some loving instead I do not see anything wrong with Stardock's "manifest" in general. Like samm pointed out, some points may be up to imprementation, but on the whole, i really like it. Kudos to them.

Yes, finally. Doctors who cast moral judgement on what they want to treat on their patients. This is exactly what lies on the interests of the patient, right? -
Let's forget about the democrats and republicans and their respective and potential scandals for a while. Let's focus on the little men now, for example: - Bob Barr, Liberterian party link - Ralph Nader, Green Party link - Chuck Baldwin, Constitution party link Thoughts? ideas? Critizisms?
