US Presidential Elections
Here's a good explanation on recent happenings on the ongoing election climate.

Well, i watched "Fallen" and it was ok, but not as neat i hoped it would be. They spoiled it too much with the "i'm nasty and evil"-stuff. 6.5/10 However, by recommendations of the same genre, namely thrillers with cultish or mystical undertones, i sumpled upon "Angel Heart" (1987) with Mickey Rourke and Robert DeNiro. Now THAT movie had what "Fallen" didn't have; intruiging story (eventhough i figured it out very early on, i just enjoyed the ride), tremendous atmosphere and great sense of suspense. Plus, it has to have one of the most eerie endings that i know of, it really makes you feel uncomfortable. 9/10.

"The fallen" sounds intruiging. I have to check that one out this weekend. I can take it is not something you watch in your cushy couch with your girlfriend with the fireplace lit in the background?

US Presidential Elections
Hoho, look at what Cindy McCain does as a hobby: You gotta see it to believe it. And oh, they have a son named 'Jack' in the naval academy. His future job was set in stone from the moment he was born. "President...JACK McCAIN"

Ron Paul and Ralph Nader are on CNN proclaiming to open the debates and to support third-party candidates. Ron Paul and Nader agreeing on something?- Movies you have seen recently
7.5/10 seems about right. I would give it a 6.5 myself well done, but in the end pointless. 115 min I would like to have back. Nah, i think that it should switch places with The Dark Knight. Jacob's Ladder can be seen multiple times, while TDK might be worthy of being a christmaspresent, since there's nothing on the telly during the holidays.- Movies you have seen recently
I agree with taks there, The Resident Evil movies are mild entertainment. I think the best part is the sheer simplicity of them, they aren't trying to be something that they are not. But if you're looking for Romero-quality, look somewhere else.- Creationist Site Targets Spore

Heh, i am surprised that no-one else mentioned this earlier. Maybe it just was too self-evident, like "Man, murder is really bad thing, you'know?"- Movies you have seen recently
Highly under-rated. One of the best horror-movies ever made, if you get the ending. What is there to get about the ending? Seemed rather obvious to me. I already suspected that quite early in the film. But then again, it is 18 years old and in that time I've been exposed to quite some similar themes. Yeah, And yeah, the theme and the special effects very pretty unique for its time and copied thousands of times over through the years, but trust me, many failed to understand it when it came out, hence the 'bad' rating at imdb.- The Large Hadron Collider
I just read Xard's link, and it was so over my head that i didn't even fully grasp it. If i get it right, it sounds like Bill Hicks idea of "we are the imagination of ourselves"-positive drug-story, fueled with the musings of "Latelarus" by Tool.- The Music Thread
- Cardinal sins of game design
Cardinal sin X+1: Game bosses breaking the very rules that the game is supposed to have Example: - The player is limited to one multicast spell per turn. The boss can multi-cast and multi-attack on the same turn. This feature is never available for the player itself. These spells/attacks are also usually unique to the boss itself. These kinds of buffs and attacks are usually casted at the end of 45 minute long battle, and without any prior knowledge to the player, the game usually ends there and one has to restart the whole damn thing, usually from a checkpoint long before the very battle itself. Occurance: - Almost every goddamn jRPG ever made.- Movies you have seen recently
