  1. why do you always spell them with ks In Europe, Canada is written with a capital 'K'. Thus, Volo is simply tapping into his european ancestery. Aside from that, this situation looks really weak. These kinds of "hostile takeovers" should be illegal and punishable with treason.
  2. They love every potential 50 dollar giver.
  3. Ouch, Avellone looks really torn in the video, while the rest look like they always had the last 10 years or so. The game itself looks like it is at a stage where the basic mechanics are implemented and working, but it is still very unpolished in terms of production values. There's alot of fine tuning left, like lip-sync, general facial animations (everybody seems to lack any form of expression) and combat.
  4. The thing is, behind all this frustration there is also constructive critizism about the code of conduct that Team-Gizka implements when it comes to voluntary programmers and designers. Surely that is understandable, and in some times, welcomed as well.
  5. Given the game in question I can't see how the PC crowd could complain about either of those things. Stop being overly optimistic
  6. Don't hate. They still love you very much, Mr. customer!
  7. The Witcher II will be released on PC/Xbox360/PS3 simultaneously. It will sell really well on consoles, while the PC crowd whines about 'consolification' and 'dumbing it down' (the actual product might be different, but i am talking about the responses from the community). Due to alleged claims of piracy, The Witcher III is released as a 'console'-only game. The PC port will be released with zero marketing a year later.
  8. Up to 31 issues to be resolved now. Positive outlook: I speculate that the public releasedate will be around fall '10. Negative outlook: Seeing the buildmaster being AWOL for almost 3 months, my safest be that he has either moved to a whole other continent and gotten a work position that requires 18h/day of work, or have been assigned to an asylum. The project is indefinately put on hold until he returns.
  9. Same here. I have no idea whether it actually works or not.
  10. Bookmarked.
  11. Noam Chomsky agrees with taks and Guard Dog on Obama's supposed "Change". He's even more sceptical than you guys
  12. Wasn't there an attempt on gerald ford as well?
  13. for that one. Morbid Angel - Where the Slime Lives(Live at Wacken)
  14. Wuh? There's co-op? How the hell did i manage to miss/forget that?
  15. A quick look at the upcoming national security team under Obama. Thoughts? Maybe GD can dig up something more on these people?
  16. Did problems with the chinese espionage go away/was corrected during the current administration? I mean, isn't this borderlining treason?
  17. Heh, he looks more like a roman emperor than a lofty academic, who is gazing at the stars.
  18. While working a year in the higher academia at the engineering department, i learned that many professors and teachers were poster childs of what a future burnout would look like. 40h/week is disingenious, make it more like 60, atleast. Anyhoo, back to topic: How's the rumors about Hillary Clinton becoming the Secretary of State coming along?
  19. First looks or reviews, people.
  20. Oblivion done "well", i guess. I haven't bought/tried Fallout 3, and i probably will not within the next 2-3 years and by judging from this review, it seems like i am not missing anything perticular either.
  21. 5(+)GB worth of new content for an expansion? That's quite impressive.
  22. There is no justification for that. The fault lies entirely on the companies themselves for caving into the union's demands.
