  1. Excellent thread, i crave for MOAR.
  2. You are correct. It is a rather unknown first-person adventure game. Rather is an understatement. I have never heard about the game/company before
  3. In most companies, everything considered as marketing and PR has to be approved and signed by a superior. For Dragon Age, that would mean the producer. However, as someone on this board pointed out, no one seems to know since DA is on its third producer, hence its identity-crisis.
  4. This midsummer was great. Booze, sun and bbq at the summer cottage do wonders to a mans spirit.
  5. "Knowing" If you simply judge from the movie's merit by itself, it was pretty bland. A typical suspense-mystery movie with a high budget and little imagination. If you judge by its message, then it is in the same category with atrocities such as "Twilight".
  6. Personally, i think that verdicts like these are countrproductive in the long run. As Samm demonstrated, if file-sharing mandates higher fines than what airlines pay to relatives of deceased passages, it will undermine the people's trust in the laws of the land and even maybe parts of society. First of all, shouldn't theft or copyright infringement be payed according to the damages? How do you prove a lost sale equals a download to begin with? The closest that they can prove IMO, is that the woman in question would have to pay for each downloaded song, which should be in the vein of 1-2$ per song if one follows the prices at iTunes. Second, they could only prove that it was her computer that shared the files, not who exactly installed the software and who downloaded the songs. Let's extrapolate a bit, is she still liable if someone uses her WLAN, installs the software and start downloading? Extend this to any WLAN hotspot that there is. The bottom line is, you can destroy your neighbours car and burn their lawn and still get away more easily. You can assault a person and almost beat them to death (a barfight) and still only pay for cosmetical damage and maybe for loss of worktime, which ofcourse would be significantly less than this verdict. But if you download a song.... Thus, people's trust in the courts, judicial system and society will falter.
  7. What incredible non-news. Nobody cares about what PETA says anyways.
  8. It was wrong because it didn't break any monopolies... arguably it made things worse, as it facilitated speculation, and diversified operations also makes any wrongdoing much harder to detect. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Sisters_(oil_companies) Yeah, yeah. I'm not taks. So sue me. What would be the point of that when they can have it be an optional component to install via Windows Update? Fair enough, but how to deal with cartels? Will they dissolve automatically by a vibrant and chaotic market?
  9. Im more of a brothers lionheart kind of Swede. Ah, the movie where evil people wore pink capes? It was kinda daring fashion choice for evil people, but I guess some times one just gets bored of always wearing blood red and/or black clothes. ALL MAKT
  10. taks: What's your take on the Sherman Antitrust act and the following breakup of Standard Oil? Why was it wrong?
  11. Kaftan is swedish, so you only get respect from him by cosplaying as Pippi Longstocking. I bet that kirottu is up for the task for that one
  12. double post
  13. I am really on the fence with this one. While it reeks of a Wii-ripoff, Moleneux's "potential" however, should be at least acknowledged on a theoretical level. From my own experiences with the Wii, the novelty quickly wears off and the amount of time spent on actual gameplaying will completely rely on the basic mechanics of the game itself. For example, in Mario Cart Wii, it is fun to wiggle with your "steering wheel" in the beginning, but that is not the reason on why the game is/was fun. It is the levels, the ability to sabotage the race for other players with bombs and whatnot, co-op and the levelsdesign that makes it worthwhile to play for longer sessions.
  14. Finally take on the whole E3-whoopla from a different perspective.
  15. Two well dressed, japanese nationals were arrested at the Italian border with US treasure bonds, worth in total 134,5 billion dollars. Veeery interesting, to say the least.
  16. A nation whose greatest contributions to the civilized world are badly drawn cartoons and porn so vile that its use in armed conflict would be considered a warcrime. It is only a warcrime when you want it to be
  17. My bad, i forgot The specs are ofcourse, bloated as hell.
  18. I like classical Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn and so on, even some Thomas Tallis. Metal of different sorts, such as Opeth, Slayer, Meshuggah, Emperor, Mayhem, Iron Maiden. Rock i also appriciate, such as AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and The Who. Maybe some nice soul by Bobby Womack, Sam Cooke. I also have a guilty pleasure of liking the worst mainstream-synth-pop of the 80's such as Human League, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, Hall & Oates, you name it....wait a minute, maybe this should be done in reverse instead. "What music do you not like? or even hate?" Music that lacks a soul, or doesn't have any sense of direction. Music where creativity takes the backseat for marketing and potential market segments. Music that is sterile and not true in it self, and instead aimed to please as many as possible to the point of sacrificing its integrity. Examples: - Girl bands (duh) - Boy bands (du-uh) - Most Rap/HipHop. Kind of ironic, considering its roots with grandmaster flash and NWA. - Emo (copypasted punk/pop with the very same annoying lyrics. A poor mans Blues or Soul) - Most modern pop-music. We had a class reunion for class of -99 the other weekend, and we couldn't even find a song from that year that would be immortalized for generations to come. Come to think of, where have those "great bands" or songs been during the last 15 years? Are there any artists or bands that have started after the middle of the 90's that has produced anything that people will remember for future generations? I guess that what i am really trying to say, is that this generation sucks.
  19. Duh, i quoted the tenets of Bushido, the goddamn code of the samurai warrior. A nation was born from these men, and you guys cannot even phantom that anyone could possess such a character? Goddamn, this place is haven for a bunch of sissies (except kirottu and kaftan) Joking aside, i just see those traits as admirable. Self-indulgence, dishonesty, cowardice, hypocrisy, anti-intellectualism are traits for which no respect should be given.
  20. French chick is angry because you slept with the Book chick, she just acknowledges that she can't stop you from doing it. Apart from killing either of you, of course, but it seems that's a no-no. Bah, how lame. Bioware should incoorperate love interests that are bold and interesting. For example, the betrayed chick should do the following: While you are sleeping, she will burn all your clothes and destroy all your equipment, kick YOU out of the party and demand monetary support for the rest of the game. If you fail to pay, you will end up in prison. A pound-me-in-the-ass-prison. Sharing a bunk with the guy that you betrayed into a lif sentence earlier in the game. Choices and consequences for the win, baby! ...or, she will simply kill you in your sleep. Game Over. That would be wonderful. ...or she wants to join YOU and YOUR other love interest for a night that you will remember, at the same time. ...or she wants YOU to join her with HER other love interest for a night that you will remember, at the same time. Would that be the NEW S**T?
  21. Some people from foreign cultures seems to think that respect comes from the amount of fake masculinity that they impose in flashy clothes. That is respect based on wrongs assumptions. You get my respect when you have the following traits: - Rectitude: You understand your own set principles and follow them thourougly - Courage: In the face of death, you laugh - Benevolance: You are always destined to do good for you and your surroundings - Respect(Hur-hur): Meaning that you show respect to others - Honesty: You are truthful to yourself and others - Honor: Without it, you are dead. - Loyalty: Help others without self-interest, and they will help you. - Wisdom: Experience, knowledge and how you act and use it. Try to achieve enlightment.

    V

Except for hamster-devouring-scene and shedding skin-scene, i cannot remember anything about V. I was maybe 5 or so when it premiered. I really hope that it will be "Aliens just want to enslave humanity"-series, since that was cool part about it, i think
  23. If it will be universally praised by the 'Codex as the new Fallout of this generation, i might give it a try.
  24. Screen fading to black, followed by a short cutscene of a rocket taking off? The heroine laughing at you? And the main character crying in a corner, while being naked?
