Between the Jack Thompson/Anita Sarkeesian parallels and the willingless to keep a terrible situation as is, I'm starting to wonder if the mainstream left is closer to the right-wingers than they care to admit. What they have in common with the right-wingers is that they are both authoritarian. Old time conservative dislike liberalism because they think that it will erode old structures such as the church, common moral values and eventually a collapse of civilization since nihilism and bohemianism tendencies are not only tolerated, but celebrated. SJ-people hate liberalism because they recognize that freedom will always end with have's and have not's, both economically and socially speaking. True social justice is not achieved until the power structures enabled by capitalism and liberalism are trickled down, and to do that, you have to recondition society through forced egaliterianism.
