KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Archmonarch replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Still, technical, gameplay, and interface suggestions are valid, despite plot. -
Indeed, I too have never played VtM before, though I have used IRC for roleplaying, chatting, and *ahem* more illicit purposes. I have always been interested in the "darker side" of human nature however (strictly scientific interest I assure you :darque:), and desire a quick and bountiful fruition of our plans.

Ender is supposed to return tomorrow, so all our question should be answered soon.

Well, I have been playing System Shock 2 for the last hour or so and once I reached the actual game and got past the main medical room, I had 4 scares within 3 minutes. The first involved hearing a loud gun shot, while no one was around me. The second was when someone just started talking and I looked around and saw a "ghost." The third and fourth both involved my first experience with hybrids. I took the ghosts advice and went into the area he came from. Then I heard someone whispering, "Flesh...flesh...," which rather freaked me out. Again looking around, this deformed half-human thing with a large tube of flesh between his head and shoulder came out of a room and jumped at me. Of course, I prompty beat him to death with my all-powerful wrench. Then, I left the area for a moment to just recheck everything (I hadnt expected an attack so soon) when all the previous room had only dead bodies and maybe a box or two. I noticed a computer help poster on the wall I had missed before and clicked on it. While reading it, I again heard strange voices, basically to the effect of, "I see you...Im coming to eat you..." Naturally enough, I was again freaked out. I tried to exit the inventory screen quickly but by the time I did, the hybrid had reached me and was attacking. I tried to get my bearing but it was dark and I couldnt seem to find him. And so I died. It is an impressive game that can amuse, entertain, scare and kill you within the first half-hour (the other half-hour was introduction and prologue).

You just had to do it, didnt you? Anyway, my real name generates Hagar von Richter and my character name give me Albericht Darkblade. This is possibly the worst name generator I have ever seen, especially as it seems to recycle major characters and artists from various horror media.

Umm..good job. Welcome back and all that jazz. I suppose my hatred for all organized religion is slightly lessened by your actions, though dont expect that goodwill to last for long!

We have two Alexander variants! As I have declared my nominal intentions prior to yours (and I organized this game :darque:), I shall be called Alek, while you are called Gaust (pronounced Ghost). Btw, a gaust (pronounced and alternatively spelled ghast) is a kind of ghost.
-
...which was my primary suggestion.
-
I have my character name as well: Aleksandr Torne. Alek for short.

Spellmar says, "Should there be an apostrophe in "gunna," though I do not believe there would be as the term is an unusual contraction, it would occur either following the last 'n' but before the 'a' or following the first 'n' but before the second. This is based upon the original words "going to" that form "gunna" - "going"="gunn" and/or "gun" and "to"="a" and/or "na" - and the rule for contractional blending of two independent words. :darque:

It probably was, along with all the animals in my previous post. Unfortunately for them and marsupial conspiracy theorists everywhere, all of these creatures died out millions of years ago.

I appreciate the infantile nature of the development of this area. I simply hope that by the time my vision fails (should it do so), we have advanced sufficiently not to forever impair my ability to prevent holes in my head.

Bah, you know very well (or at least you should) that was there a Dropbear, it went extinct long ago like all megafauna of Australia, such as the Ekaltadeta (a carnivorous kangaroo). And the Protcoptodon. Anyway, we all know the coolest extinct marsupial ever is the Thylacosmilus!

I do hope you realize that your sig blatantly violates sig size limitations imposed on these fora. Also, the idea that a clone exposed to exactly the same life experience as every other clone would somehow arrive upon a original idea not had by any other of his brethren is ridiculous.

I must say, should I ever go blind I would hope we have designed an alternative solution whereby a large wire does not stick out of my head.

The Polar Bear, similar to all bears except the Panda Bear (which isnt a true bear), are agressive and territorial in nature. They have been known to kill and eat humans when they feel threatened (basically means you are on their land). In particular, the Polar Bear is exceeded in agressive and violent tendencies only by the Kodiak Bear, found on Kodiak Island in Alaska. On a site note, my father almost took a job as a forest ranger on Kodiak Island several years before I was born. So, I would have been born in Alaska to a Forest Ranger as opposed to a Corporate Lawyer in Miami. Strange how things turn out, eh? Maybe my father wouldnt be such a self-righteous bastard if his dreams hadnt been crushed. Edit: Kaftan's additions and revisions to Meta's earlier post have reminded me of my favorite war of all time: The Cod War!

You do know it is possible to copy and paste the URL? Oh, and btw, it still doesnt work.

Another Idiot Anti-Gaming Activist
Archmonarch replied to Archmonarch's topic in Computer and Console
You mean you really hadn't guessed his nick was a shortened version of his name? If you had, you would realize that very few surnames begin with Schu-. Thus, we can shorten the list among these by searching among such families for individuals named Alan and/or any variation thereof that live in Edmonton (as revealed in his profile). Im sure it would be a rather short list. From there, it would be rather easy to locate the specific individual you sought. Of course, I have never done such a thing nor would I ever consider it. " -
I happen to like a DnD webcomic, The Order of the Stick, by Rich Burlew.

It seems fine to me. Though the Ventrue are primarily social creatures, they are in charge of the Masquerade and so could consider it their duty to embrace you. Anyway, the difference from Ventrue stereotypes could make for an interesting character. I say go for it. One thing, though: the Ventrue have no access to the vampiric magics and given the secrecy within clans, I do not see an easy way for your character to gain such knowledge, considering the penalty for sharing is usually death or blood bond. Just be aware of this.

Gamespot Article Basically, a lawyer who jointly led crusade against GTA: SA has declared the Sims 2 a greater transgressor because it is possible to remove the blur over nude sims through a cheat code. According to him, graphic details (including accurately rendered genitalia, breasts, and pubic hair) are displayed through use of this code, causing comparisons between Sims 2 and porn. Even more alarmingly, he says that because the code applies to all sims (including children), it is a tool for pedophiles to plan attacks. As a result, he seeks to recall all copies of the game and ban any further sales. Bastards.

Sometimes my zeal outweighs my sense. Such is the curse of youth. P.S. Ender will be gone until Tuesday.

You seem to have misinterpreted my statement. I do not deny that the US (and its citizens) are greatly responsible for the creation and preservation of Israel, nor that the Western Powers are their friends and have some influence. I simply meant that internal Israeli power structures have the final decision.
